History: you're one of those nosy people, huh? why is it so important that you know about my life? ack... you might want to take a seat because this might take a bit. my name is delphi blanca. yeah, delphi... like the oracle. i'm the daughter of ashton and mallory... not that it matters, but if i'm telling you my entire life you've gotta hear it all. so what makes me different? have you ever heard of a gumiho? of course not, that would just make telling my life story to you way too easy. in the old legends we're women that seduce men and then eat their hearts. don't look at me like that. everyone eat different things to live. anyway, the legends are true. less of the seducing part and more of the eating hearts and sometimes livers.
but i digress. i was raised by my mother and father. i really don't have any complaints from my childhood. my father, bless his heart, was a mortal man so i don't think he ever understood what me or my mother did. oh well. when i turned 17 my mother let me hunt my first man. poor guy never knew what hit him. to be fair though, i haven't had a heart or a liver since i was 24. i messed real bad making the kill and... sorry, can we talk about something else?
my mother pushed me out of the house as soon as i hit eighteen. something about needed to attend a school that wasn't close to where she was at. i think it was probably to spread out out kills. people get suspicious when groups of men disappear like herds of cattle. oh no, i'm not laughing about it. it just makes sense now. my mother had her prowling ground and she wanted me to find mine. i think i stopped hunting because it lost its thrill. sometimes i just felt like people walked into my claws. i love a chase and when i don't have those i get bored... maybe i'll start up again... hunting i mean. i just need someone worth the hunt.
