The decision had been made that his father would stay home in Vers while Tiassale traveled to Jauhar in order to stock up on some supplies. Tias didn't mind going on this particular errand because he was the only one left who could and his father was booked with patients. When the going was good, its best not to leave--or so his father had told him. Tias did of course, verbalize his disinterest in traveling but he did it all the same.
The trip to Jauhar had been fairly easy but he wasn't so sure if he enjoyed traveling on foot. Why hadn't he taken one of his mothers beasts? Well. . . If she didn't find out it would have been okay, but if she did--he was going to be strung up to a tree and dangling by his feet. The scary part was, she really would do it. Majority of the beasts they kept at home were either too young or being trained to go to someone else. Therefore, they were not good options and those that were, they couldn't be entirely trusted.
Tias sighed and rubbed at the nape of his neck as his eyes wandered over the few shops that were set up. "Guess I gotta' start somewhere." He said to himself before wandering over to a store that advertised herbs and other plants for sale. Tias pulled out the list he had brought and looked it over before wandering too far into the shop.

Iroia was arm deep in herbs, there were so many different ones and she was rather enjoying the different smells, she had done so much hunting that they needed more spices to cook with and what better place then here to find the freshest and most flavourful herbs..not to mention the salve for all her minor wounds. She tucked a few stacks of herbs away and walked back down the hall to gather more. She noticed another leafling far back, "Can I help you find something? I've been here a while so I might know where it is." He was kinda cute too. She felt a flash of guilt for noticing it felt like a betrayal. But he was gone so why should she feel guilty she could notice whoever she wanted..maybe he would want that.

Tiassale stared down at his list in quiet contemplation as he attempted to figure out what he needed from the herb shop. Several of the items he had never seen before and had no clue on where to begin his search within the shop. Was this a plant or herb? Where was it located? When a voice called to him his green eyes lifted and then tracked to the woman who carried a bag with her. “Yes. I have no clue where all this stuff is, can you help me?” He asked, his direct-to-the-point nature carrying through. Thankfully, his savior would help him with locating the items he needed from the herb shop. “Do you know what any of this is or where to find it?” Tiassale questioned. The boy mentally noted to himself that he would have to get his father to write a description near the name, next time.

Iroia took a peek at the list and placed her finger gently on one of the entries. "This one is tricky its actually a rather ugly root that you grind up. This here is its leaf but they have different names because they are used for different things. The leaf is closer to the front I'll grab it, the root you are looking for is that one there sticking out of the tub, do you see it?" She memorized a few of the other items on the list and muttering set off on her plant quest. She loved this store it was so well stocked with wonderful green things. She came back with an armful, "I'll start a pile for you." She placed the herbs on a table. I don't think I have seen you around here, I would have noticed another leafling.." Maybe, maybe she would have.

Tiassale raised an eyebrow as the woman place a finger on the list his father had provided and pointed to each one. "A root." He added quietly as he started processing the information she was giving him. When she finished explaining and asked him to try and find the root he nodded his head. "Yeah, I've got this." He agreed before wandering over to the tub that held the root. Despite his confidence, it took him a minute to locate the root she had mentioned. "Got you." Tiassale said with a grin, holding the root as if it was a prize.
When they regrouped, he noticed that the kind stranger had gotten more items in comparison to the one root he held. "Why did you gather all of those?" He asked, tilting his head with an eyebrow raise. "Thanks. . . " He added, eyeing the items on the table. "Oh. No. I live in Tale, Vers actually. My father is a healer and as you noticed, he sent me to resupply some items." Tiassale looked the woman over. "Do you live here?" He questioned, not sure why a Leaf would live so far away. Maybe this leafling hadn't been born in Tale, or her family had moved here for some reason--the possibilities were endless once he thought about them.

~Kiana_Nala~ My apologies I fried my rp muse XD Iroia nodded, "I got those others because they are also on your list, good job finding that root, they are rather neat looking if somewhat hideous." She poked the tuber in question. "Me? No I was living in Sauti but I think I will go back home to Tale, I just haven't decided yet. I know I won't be going back to Sauti." Her face clouded a little with pain. "I just don't know where the best place to raise my son would be. I'm visiting a shifter family here, they are boarding us until I figure out which way the wind wants me to go." "Is your father a large scale or small scale healer? Does he use magic too I mean?" She was curious, she had no talent beyond wrapping bandages; usually around herself. So knowing where healers were was always a good thing.

Hideous? Tias had to agree that the tube-shape was pretty disgusting looking. ”Why do you think they are neat? I agree that it’s gross.” Tiassale grimaced. Hopefully his dad hadn’t written down this plant as a sick joke. While his mom was more likely to pull a prank on him than his father would, Tias still wondered if the old man finally had done it.
Of course the moment Iroia’s facial expressions changed Tias made sure to pay attention to what she was saying. ”Why wouldn’t you go back to Sauti?” He boldly asked. At the mention of her son Tias’s heart softened. While she didn’t explicitly say she was a single mom, the lack of information about the father figure in their life seemed to be a giveaway. Considering his own parents were mostly apart, Tias could imagine what the boy was going through. ”Well.” He paused, rubbing the back of his neck in contemplation. ”I don’t know you very well, but if you are wanting to get your toes back into Tale but don’t have a place to go, we have some room in our house for you and your son until you find a place.” Considering Tias was the only one who really lived at the house full time he knew it wouldn’t be a problem to extend the invitation to let others stay there. Not to mention they had several extra rooms to accommodate his once large family. ”We don’t know each other well so I don’t expect you to jump in and say yes but the offer is on the table if you decide you want to take the leap.” He added, giving her the opportunity to wait to make a decision—if at all. ”How old is your son?”
At the questions about his father he grinned. ”He’s the only healer in our town at the moment and often travels so he’s usually busy. I would say small scale on average but since he travels to locations that don’t have healers I would say it depends on the place. He uses magic when necessary.” Tiassale wondered what the girls job was but he seemed to think she was a healer of some sort too—after all she was pretty knowledgeable about herbs and plants. ”What do you do for work?”

"I think they are neat because each tuber is shaped totally different, of course I haven't ever found a truly nice looking one," she smiled, "I assume they are the rarest of the rare." She looked him in the eye, green, like her own. "I wouldn't go back, because of too many memories, painful memories. I lost my husband there and my daughter." She drew in a ragged breath. Saying it out loud hurt so much. Then his offer penetrated her thoughts and her mouth dropped open. "You would do that for a complete stranger?" She was shocked and touched at the same time. "That's very generous of you and I will keep the offer in mind." It would be better to go back to Tale and live with someone else for a while so she didn't have to go and face her family. Her eyes warmed at the mention of Arron, whom she had kind of been neglecting trying to get stronger in order to protect them in the future. But he was with the people of Ast and Sauron's family so he was probably much safer then she thought. She needed that support now. And time to collect her thoughts so she could again feel like herself and be there for Arron. "Arron is just a youngling yet," she winked, "I'm not that old." "Magic is always a good back up for healing, what does your mother do if you don't mind me asking?" "As for me I am a swordsman training to be an assassin kind of runs in my blood. My father was a sentinel and mother an assassin. I chose the two sword route because one in each hand made me feel more balanced then the single great sword." Iroia picked the root up and inspected for old wounds. "Its also good to check these to make sure they haven't been stabbed from harvest, it can lead to rot that ruins it as an ingredient."

”Rarest of the rare? What if they don’t exist at all?” Tiassale asked, eyeing the tuber with interest. From the basket you could tell there were various shapes and sizes for each tuber, however, none of them looked nice in any stretch of the imagination. Of course Tias being himself, he had to argue the point.
To say Tiassale was shocked would have been an understatement. While he had figured the husband was no longer in the picture he hadn’t imagined him to be dead. Furthermore, to have lost a daughter as well? He couldn’t imagine what that must have been like for her. ”I’m sorry for your loss. Are they missing or dead?” Tias very bluntly asked. The boy wasn’t too shocked when she was surprised at his offer considering they had just met but despite popular belief he was actually a nice person once you got to know him. ”Whenever you’re ready.” He replied.
At her remark he couldn’t help but chuckle and grin. ”You do not look old. You’re very youthful and its clear that you take very good care of yourself. In other words, you’re very attractive.” He freely gave his opinion without a second thought about how it would be taken. Tias was honest to a fault so when presented with an opportunity to do so, well, he did. ”A youngling. . . All this must have happened recently then?” He asked.
”My mother is a beast charmer. She and my father are all but separated so she travels more often then not, especially since I’m mostly independent. They switch off on who stays at the house, just in case but soon it will be just me there.” He paused. His family was fairly unique and since he was more than old enough to be on his own for the most part, he was.
As Iroia spoke of her training he nodded. That seemed like an interesting field to go into and while he wasn’t considering it, he was interested in similar fields. ”That’s interesting. I have no interest in it but it is sort of similar to what I’m considering.” At the mention of her choice in weapons he scrunched his eyebrows together as he crossed his arms in consideration. ”I’m not sure I can imagine it but I’ll have to try it myself to see if I agree with you or not.” He added.
Once more Tiassale was greatful for her assistance because he for sure wouldn’t have thought ahead to check for wounds caused from harvesting. ”I wouldn’t have looked if you didn’t mention it. I don’t know why they would sell anything without double checking it first.” He frowned.

Iroia giggled, "Well thats half the game isn't it? Looking for something so rare that it might not exist at all, but in the end, you still have plenty of ugly tubers and have most likely learned something from your travels and trials about the tubers themselves or the world around them." "They are missing as far as I know, but I have no idea what forces would be able to keep him and her from me. What we had was special both the bond with my husband and with a mother and her daughter." she swiped a tear away, but it was nice to meet someone who just said what they wanted instead of dancing around delicate situations. "So to me I feel like they must be.... otherwise he would have found a way back to me." This boy sent her through the emotional gauntlet, amusement grief, shyness, ect. Now she was blushing at his compliments and grinning like a fool. "Thank you, its nice to know that there are others who think I'm pretty, your not so shabby yourself", she winked at him. Cute, with potential for devastatingly handsome when he was older, like her Voshy. There would be an awesome lady out there for this boy, and she wished them every happiness. Despite her pain now, she would go after Voshy again if she could do it all over, or at least she thought she would, she was still pretty sore at the moment but he had been everything to her, and he had given her children, wonderful wonderful children, with his gorgeous dark eyes. "Yes very recently, I stayed for three weeks, hoping they would come back, but in Sauti, one wrong move and your in big trouble. I searched and searched. But I couldn't find them, others say its a shame I didn't find them, but at least I can pretend they are still out there, separated from me but happy enough." She bowed her head. "Then I came to Jauhar, to a friends house, they took me in and keep care of Arron while I try and pick up the pieces of my life and glue them back together and make myself stronger so I can protect whats left of my family. I've sent word to my other friends but they seem to have scattered in the wind." She tilted her head, "A beast charmer hey? Thats real cool, I have a bug aversion, and I'm not as fond of creatures as others, I do have an allol, called Slail, he jumped on me when I was guarding a caravan, scared the crap out of me, but hes a cool sort. I think the beast charming profession very ...fashionable is perhaps the wrong word, perhaps glamorous. "I'm sorry they don't seem to get along, but they have done a fine job of raising you. Sometimes its best for couples not to live together despite what the young ones feel about the matter, I wouldn't want to be caught in arguments all the time." "Oh and what are you considering that is so close?" Her curiousity was piqued. "As to that sometimes they just don't inspect them well enough, people make mistakes, but if you find bruises consistantly the dealer is being underhanded most likely. Try to make sure nothing is eating it either." She had talked more to this leafling than she had to anyone else since the disapearance. It made her feel kind of alive again, kind of normal.. or well at least normal for her.

Tiassale wasn’t necessarily one to go to if you wanted to be filled with hope, however, he didn’t quite think giving up on them ever returning was entirely truthful either. ”Maybe. I don’t want to say they are but getting your hopes up for no reason isn’t good either. I think having the mindset of ‘if they come back then. . .’ well I guess figure out where everything fits in at that point.” He responded with a shrug. Family was a pretty big issue for Tias and well, his family. His parents had stuck together somewhat in order to give their kids the best they could. While it might not be the way for everyone, it had been his model and one he felt was pretty good. A small frown formed on the boy’s face as he noticed the small tear slip on Iroia’s face and he felt himself unsure if he should give her a pat on the back or a hug or something else. Tiassale really hated seeing people upset.
At the retuned compliment Tiassale tried to hide the blush by rubbing his cheeks. ”Thanks.” He mumbled a little. ”Like I said, I’m not sure you should give up hope yet but don’t let that unknown determine what you do now.” He nodded. That sounded like a good way to put it. It allowed for her to move on with her life but have room for them somewhere down the line too if they ever came back. ”I’m sorry.”
Tiassale couldn’t help but grin. ”They’re all pretty neat when you train them well. It’s those early days or when you get one’s that weren’t trained right that’s the problem.” He shuddered to think of one that had come to their home a year ago. Luckily for the person Tias didn’t know where they lived. ”They weren’t too bad. They stayed together for my siblings but with me they know that I’m happier with them being happy. Which is apparently apart.” He paused. ”They get a long better when they don’t have to live together. It’s been better.” Tias admitted.
”I’m considering being a guard, spearman or something. We’ll see though.” Tias still had some time to decide and he wasn’t going to rush his decision. Once again he looked at the tubers, wondering how in the world he would have ever made it this far without her. ”You’re a really great help. I’m not sure what I would have done without you.” He grinned happily.
