 Milo was a little sad that Laurel wasn't in the common room this week. He'd gotten used to bumping into his new demon friend and giving him painting lessons... Maybe he was busy today, or maybe he was hanging out with his roommate? He didn't know what Laurel's schedule was, he probably should've asked about that.
The Baphomet twisted his lips in thought and pulled his attention back to his painting. It was partially colored already with pinks and reds, his thoughts of Laurel obviously being the primary focus. He chuckled to himself and set a new piece of paper over the old one.
"Hmm, what should I color now?" He mused, tapping his paintbrush against the wooden frame of his easel. "It's always so hard to decide what to start with..."

 Coco peeked into the common room, she was new to the school and rather nervous about meeting new people. She wondered if anyone would like her. She looked around the common room and saw the boy Baphomet. Coco had been raised in an area where mixing races were common, so she wasn't bothered by his race being different from her own. What bothered her, was she was newbie and he was a boy. So she walked over to an easel and took a piece of paper and sketching a picture of her favorite toy she wanted to practice painting. Coco looked up shyly at the boy, trying to decide what he wanted to do. Coco bit her lip when she made a mistake on her drawing and moved to try to fix it. The proportions weren't coming out quite right and it was annoying her..

Milo hadn't noticed Coco coming in, nor had he seen her take a piece of paper and sit down. However, once she had started sketching, the noise of her pencil marks made him turn his head. Was someone else here? Maybe Laurel? He peered around, blue eyes scanning the room, before noticing Coco close by. Whoa, where did they come from? They had to be pretty quiet to sneak past him! He smiled.
"Hi there, I didn't see you come in!" He said, turning away from his easel to extend his hand. "I'm Milo, what's your name?"

It was really hard to tell with her coloring, but Coco blushed when Milo spoke to her. "Huh?? Umm I'm Coco.." she said in a shy uncertain tone..

Milo could tell that Coco was nervous and only offered them a smile. Aww, maybe they were new to Arkham? He was just like them when he first arrived, he almost didn't want to leave his mother's side when she brought him to the front door! However, meeting Laurel had helped him feel a bit more confident in himself. Maybe Coco needed a friend to help her adjust, too? The Baphomet placed his paintbrush aside and moved to sit beside Coco.
"Nice to meet you, Coco! I like your drawing!" He said, pointing toward it. "... Are you new to the academy?"

Coco looked up at Miles and then down at her drawing "It's not right yet" she bit her lip again. "Something is off.." She frowned trying to figure out her mistake so she could continue. Then she shyly said "Yes I'm new.. it's easy to tell huh??" she blushed again

Milo tilted his head. What was off about her drawing? He thought it looked very well done! ... Well, actually, he couldn't tell what she was trying to draw in the first place. He probably should've asked that question first before he complimented her. However, it didn't really seem to matter what it was, she just wasn't happy with it. ... Maybe he could help her?
"Oh, okay! I was just asking because I arrived three weeks ago." He said, grinning. "My mom dropped me off and I was really scared, but then I made some friends and that helped me get through it."
He paused, studying her drawing again, and pursed his lips.
"What are you trying to draw? Is it a toy?" He asked.

Coco nodded "I was dropped off not long ago.. much less than 3 weeks ago.. but I've kinda been hiding." she said shyly "I'm not very good at meeting new people." Coco nodded "Yes I'm trying to draw my stuffed animal, but I feel like the proportions are off" she said softly "What do you think??"

Aww, she'd been hiding ever since she got here? That was so sad! Milo pouted at the thought. He hadn't been scared enough to hide, maybe run away, but not hide. Hiding hadn't gotten him very far in the orphanage, so he didn't think it would be any different here. However, he couldn't exactly blame her for wanting to hide. Coming here was a huge step for him and it took some getting used to. There was no shame in staying hidden for a little while, as long as you came out to greet everyone when you were ready. Making friends with everyone was important, too.
The Baphomet continued to watch Coco draw and looked up to her when she asked him for her opinion. Oh, what did he think? Well...
"I think it's really cute, Coco!" He exclaimed, nodding. "Your art style is very nice and I like the way you drew their face! ... Can you show me how to sketch like you?"

Coco smiled shyly at Milo "Thank you" then she gestured to the seat next to her "Sure if you really think it's good" she said in a soft tone. Then she flipped to a new page to start a new drawing to show Milo how she had made the picture of the plushie. Refining things as she practiced.

Milo watched Coco carefully as they sketched. He always found that seeing someone else draw or paint was a good way for you to learn how to do it yourself. His mother had bought him some videos and books that detailed how to make certain shapes and colors, but he thought it was better to learn from someone first hand. Just like how he showed Laurel how to paint and how Laurel showed him how to sew, there was just something more fun and nice about watching someone else.
"Ooooh, that's how you did that, now I see!" He cooed, tilting his head. "Thank you for showing me, Coco! I like watching people draw, it helps me figure out how to paint better shapes!" Midnightglow18 Do you want to stop here and maybe have them meet again in another rp? We only need five posts each for a complete rp! o uo

Milo's face immediately lit up when Coco asked to see him paint. Was that even a question? Of course he wanted to show her how he made art! He hopped up to his feet before he could find the words to answer and grabbed his paintbrush.
"Okay, first, you have to make sure you have enough water, paint, and a clean brush!" He exclaimed, waving her toward the easel. "Then, when you've got everything set up, you should make sure you have a smock on so you don't get your clothes dirty. After that, you can start painting!"
He dipped his brush into some orange paint and started painting splotches. Then, he took some black paint and followed the same pattern, leaving two white circles in the middle. After that, he dabbed some green and blue into the white circles and pointed to the finished painting.
"I painted you! Do you like it?" He asked, smiling.

Coco smiled as she listened to Milo tell her about painting, "Ohh that looks like fun I want to try too." Then she blushed when she saw he was painting her "Umm thank you for painting me, it's nice.." She covered her face with her little hands and nodded shy about someone else painting her image.

Milo giggled. Aww, she was so shy, but he couldn't resist trying to paint her! He really liked her clothes and her hair, she was the perfect model! He smiled when she said she wanted to try painting and eagerly handed her a paint brush. Maybe she would paint him or try to paint her plushie? Whatever she chose to paint, he was excited to see it!
"Go on, paint whatever you'd like!" He exclaimed, giving her a new sheet of canvas paper to work with. He hoped he had enough of the paint she wanted to use. His mother had bought him a whole bunch of fancy paint, so he was sure he could go home and ask for more if he needed some. Right now, he might be a little low on pink and red, but that was all he could think of.
