Kerberos was, in the back of his mind, starting to recognize that his patrol schedule might be a little unhealthy. He was going out at all hours, spending far too long on it, not getting enough sleep. But what did it matter, ultimately? There wasn't much else for him to do, as an unemployed loser with no prospects and no identity.
So he would burn himself out chasing Chaos, because that was the only thing he was useful for anyway.
It was strange, how things had changed since he purified. How different auras felt. Once upon a time, the Corrupted Super he had decided to find would have felt like something comfortable, familiar - family, almost. Now, the feeling crawled under his skin and made him shudder when he first detected it.
And there she was - and she was ********," Kerberos swore under his breath, as he took the leap that would carry him to where she was.
"Amphitrite." That was out loud, to get her attention.frayedflower choo choo all aboard the feels train

Again. She knew she was bordering on reckless when it came to the order. But to be fair, Amphitrite hadn't been taught that she had much to fear from them. All of her encounters, even her more violent ones, bar one or two exceptions had generally won in either a stunning victory or a draw.
So when an order signature made its way towards her, seeking her out, she was more interested than she was afraid. Those that did seek her out often had a reason, and often it was a reason she could use, toy with, dissect -
But that voice.
Her eyes widened, her back to him. Slowly, the corrupt senshi turned... and in spite of her best efforts, her surprise - more than surprise, shock - were written clear across her face.
"Kerberos?"
It was. But it wasn't. Not in such light colors. Not with his aura putrid with order energy, making her stomach churn sickly. Disbelief laced across her face, tinted darkly by the beginnings of anger, as she took a step back, putting distance between them.
"You - "
She swallowed hard. He hadn't come to the corrupt meeting. She'd looked for him, waited for him --
"This is where you've been?!"

Kerberos inhaled sharply. This, he knew, was the price he paid for his freedom. He was out of the Negaverse, but that meant he had betrayed everyone he knew in it. Some might understand. Others - like Amphitrite, apparently - wouldn't.
He couldn't say he was surprised. She hadn't just drank the kool-aid, in his personal assessment, she had chugged it and asked for seconds.
Didn't mean it didn't hurt.
"Yes, this is where I've been." He stood with his arms spread, a totally nonthreatening position. Surely she could tell that there was nowhere for him to hide any kind of weapon, and his attacks came with a big dramatic pronouncement. "I got out. I had to get out."

There was a moment, if only for a fleeting second, where something raw and indescribable flashed across the corrupt's face. It lay somewhere between horror and raw agony, perhaps best labeled as 'betrayed'.
But the moment passed, and so the expression shifted, twisting into something much more hateful and venomous: it was no less betrayal, but the ugly side of the coin, angry and hateful and full of spite. "You - you b*****d, " she hissed rawly, her heels thudding solidly against the frozen earth beneath them as she rushed closer. "You traitorous son of a b***h! I looked up to you! I vouched for you! I - "
She thought about asking why.
Then just as quickly decided she didn't want to ******** know and it shouldn't, didn't, wouldn't matter. With a snarl of pure malice, she just went ahead and swung at him instead, aiming to strike him soundly in the face with her fist.

Kerberos knew what was coming as soon as he saw her expression shift. No, Amphitrite was not going to be content to let him walk away, that was obvious enough. He inhaled sharply and started moving, deciding the best thing to do was incapacitate her as quickly as possible. Take her to her knees, leave her shocked and hurting, and run. He was faster than her, he was sure of that, as an Eternal, though she could teleport after him -- well, he'd just have to risk that.
"I'm sorry," he said, "for all of it - for all of this." And then he spread his arms again.
"Asphodel's Requiem!" His most powerful and dangerous magic, even with its lack of actual physical damage. "I don't want to hurt you. Don't make me hurt you."Quote: Sailor Kerberos says the name of his attack and spreads his arms, and in a radius of ten feet around him, a field of asphodel flowers grows up. Anyone Chaos-corrupted within the radius experiences crippling grief and hopelessness. In addition, the affected characters see a vision of someone they care about dying or dead. If they attempt to interact with this vision, they will find it insubstantial and untouchable, and the illusion will vanish, but the feelings of grief and hopelessness otherwise induced by the attack will remain for the duration (as they're separate from the illusion itself). This attack lasts for 40 seconds. Sailor Kerberos can use this attack once per battle.
