Occurs immediately after For War is a Drug (Xenotime v. Thraen)They were gone, both of them, in less that a flash, a blink, second of time. Thraen waited five breaths, feeling out around himself, making certain that it wasn't a bluff. Then he started walking, then trotting, away. Down the streets and away from the place that could be reported to other agents, as far as he could manage before his legs gave way to shivers. The eternal senshi fell shoulder first against a department store display window with a thock and then slide down it. He spat, more blood than saliva in the mix from his protesting gums. Still have all my teeth, at least. Think. Call. Call for help. Immediate danger gone. Good, left hand pulled phone and thumbed the contacts, back, contacts, back, contacts, back, finally selected one he was looking at correctly instead of shakily pushing the wrong one. Aegir. Colin...he might be awake. Might be able to come. He's strong enough he could lift me. Please be in uniform to be able to get the call. If not....if not who do I call? It rang. Rang.

Thraen’s luck held; Colin was out in uniform, patrolling and able to catch a call, but he wasn’t alone. Aegir and Thyrmr had been running around on patrol for a bit by that point and had even managed to dust a rather stupid-but-persistent youma together and were actually just doing some roof hopping when his phone sounded. “Hold up, got a call.” Immediately he called it from the sub-space pocket, stepping away from a ledge and frowning at the ID as it did so again. Thraen? A call on this phone is rarely good news. “Hey Thraen, what’s up?” Truly, he hoped it was just a social call, but if not…well, it wasn’t like he’d leave his friend in the lurch.

The youma had taken a few minutes to actually take down, and it was mostly done by Aegir with Thrymr simply attempting to assist in the best way that he could. He was still terribly inexperienced when it came to fighting, and felt much less competent than his companion; but at the same time, learning through example was easier than just being told what to do.
The phone call came right after the youma had turned to dust, Thrymr brushing dirt from his arm. He stepped over to Aegir, brows drawing together in an expression of mild bemusement, gaze flickering to the phone and then back to his friend again.
"Is everything all right?" he asked softly, wondering who this Thraen was.

Blessed be a voice in silent places- work, teeth. Don't chatter and make it impossible to understand. "I need help. My arm is badly broken; I'm going into shock. " He breathed, the words seeming to take an eternity to manage and a well of energy. Thraen grit his teeth through the breaths to keep his teeth from telling the cold settling in with blood loss. "I'm...near the block of ....Millvale and Oakmont Drive. In the Hills District, I think. If you can call someone else to come, too, you should. If you can come. I don't think I can walk further. Eternal Maia....if you don't have her contact my phone does-" Try to keep steady. Don't ramble. "She knows a surgeon family member that can help. I'll try to stay in uniform... even if you can't come, can you send someone? The bone is out and I stabbed her with it. It's going to get infected... " "I don't feel them near, or pursuing. A general and captain ...he took her away. " Stop it, you're rambling.

If there had been any question as to how FUBAR the situation was for the eternal to contact him through official channels, it was answered the moment Thraen spoke. Strain plain in every syllable shaped, Aegir listened and held a hand up at Thyrmr to be silent so he could concentrate on the belabored words coming from his phone. As much as he wanted to interrupt with questions as to just how his friend had ended up in such desperate straights, he kept his mouth shut. There would be time for questions later, when he had Quenton safely to medical assistance and it wasn't so critical. "I'll be there, quick as I can. Just try to stay safe until then." The location wasn't unfamiliar - he knew the area enough to be able to locate his friend, at the least - and they weren't horribly far. Enough that they'd have to book it, urgent as things sounded, but hopefully not so far that Quenton's health would deteriorate to the point of faint before arrival. Eternal Maia was a somewhat familiar name, but not someone that colin knew. Not that his lack wouldn't matter - he could follow instructions...and if she could help? He'd find a way to get her - and her family member - out to Quenton. Or Quenton to them. "We'll be along, so hang in there." "Don't you dare die on me." Colin hung up, banishing his phone quickly; he would have preferred staying on the line with Quenton, but he wanted to save his breath for the run - because that's what it would be. A flat out run. "He's hurt, bad. You don't have to come with, but if you're going to..we need to move." Without waiting for Thyrmr's answer - which he figured would have the other senshi at his side - the curly haired senshi set into motion; fabric flying in his wake like banner, encouraging his companion to chase. Be okay. He'll be okay - he's got to be okay... Thoughts punctuated by the sound of two senshi running, of gravel and tile and bark crushed underfoot - a flight fueled by fear and adrenaline and enhanced by magic. Ivynian if I need to change something, lol lmk

Thrymr took no offense to the hand that Aegir raised to stop him from speaking, instead just lapsing into a tense, worried silence. He couldn't hear the voice on the other end of the line, but whoever it was, whatever it was, could not be thought of as anything other than terribly serious. He had not seen the sort of grave expression on his friend's face before, nor heard the clipped voice that emanated from his mouth before Aegir was gone, flying off.
He hesitated only a fraction of a second, taken aback by the abruptness - and then followed, because of course he was going to come along, Thrymr running alongside Aegir. Somewhere along the line, the initial surprise had worn off, replaced only by a sense of determination and a need to get to wherever it was that they were going, and fast.
"We'll get there," said Thrymr as they ran, and he took a breath, chancing a glance over at his friend. "We'll get to him, Aegir, you''ll help him, we'll help him."

I'll be here. He almost put his phone away, out of habit, but remastered thoughts that tried to wander and set it just beside himself on the sidewalk. Thraen looked at the surrounding blearily. Nothing seemed immediately helpful if used for his predicament- it wasn't like anyone left blankets just lying around. Or slings for arms. Slings...He lifted the strange, translucent, silken train that generally served the purpose of 'skirt' with his good hand. At super stage, he'd had a sash that hand been infinitely more useful for everything. Now he had a bizarre skirt-thing like a courtesy tease for anyone trying to see his backside. Could he tear it off, between teeth and arm strength? He gave it two tries, which didn't provide any progress other then some holes. It was closer to silk than was helpful- without having actual sheers he couldn't make use of it. Next try was the vines in his hair, and firm tugging here and there worked lengths out from it and sent bone-colored wefts down unhelpfully into his eyes. But the vines could be used. With the cincher he had to wear, they were long enough. The feel of white moon auras hit his mind, moving fast. Slings...[i] Use your teeth, since you can't your hand. Make the knot with it loose, rodeo style, loop self....good. Positi- [i/] Everything hazed white for a moment as he moved his right arm crossed over his chest, like half a corpse. When the world resolved again, the auras were closer. Pull tight. Fuzz again. kuropeco oh great princes of rescue

Aegir cut across town to his destination with a brutal sort of efficiency, leaps and landings felt acutely in muscle and bone, but he pressed harder. Thyrmr would keep pace or he would fall further behind, the senshi of silence couldn’t worry about his gentle friend with an injured one waiting — he would understand. It would help, to have him there, once they’d arrived. As they moved rapidly, he could feel what could only be assumed Thraen’s aura - stationary but strong - and drove himself harder so that by the time he arrived, he had a stitch in his side and a sheen of sweat gleamed on his skin, causing the gauzy bits of fluff on his uniform to hang limply. Thraen was crumpled against the front of a department store, with a crudely fashioned sling for his mauled arm, face white from pain so his scar stood out starkly even in the low light. A winded Aegir landed and immediately went to the Senshi of Garden’s side, kneeling and reaching out to touch his face carefully. “You look awful. You said I should call Maia?” The other senshi’s phone was still out, resting on the pavement. Thraen was cold, so the blond called for Thyrmr to come and carefully settle against his side. “Or I can take you to the ER.” Wait, what about Ida? Isn’t she medically trained? Yes, but maybe not for this…I can’t remember. The wound was ghastly, bone sticking up jaggedly just as his friend had said - it was too bad he wasn’t trained in first-aid, really. Sprained ankles and bruising he knew, but not this. Aegir unfastened his sash and used it to shore up the makeshift sling the scarred senshi had pulled together, trying to not cause more pain than he had to, but wanting to make sure it was as secure as possible. Still, he had cool head in the crisis, picking up Thraen’s phone and looking for the number for Eternal Maia with one hand and keeping up a stream of talk to hold onto the other senshi’s attention. “Stay with me, you’re gonna be fine. You stabbed her with your broken arm, Jesus Thraen…That’s the most metal thing I’ve ever heard of.” His discourse only stopped when he had the Eternal on the line; Aegir spoke concisely and clearly, conveying the problem as quickly as possible and getting responses. They should bring Thraen to Maia and someone named Shang. He asked for the address and repeated it back to her before ending the call with a promise to call again when they were about to arrive and in the interim, they would prepare for the patient’s arrival. “Okay, we’ve got to get going,” There was no way that Thraen would be able to walk - or run - Aegir was going to have to carry him, and it was going to hurt, even if he were careful of the broken bone. He offered Thraen’s phone to Thyrmr, “You’ll call when we get close, okay? I’m going to carry him. I’ll be as gentle as I can, my friend.” Quenton was a tall drink of water, though not overtly bulky: he could do it, carry his friend, but it really would be awkward and difficult and - unfortunately for Quenton - he would probably end up fainting from the jarring and pain. “If you want to power down, you can. Or cry out. I won’t think badly of you.” Aegir was poking at Thraen, but only because he knew how important it was to keep him alert and with it; shock was dangerous even without the broken bone factored in. Carefully and with Thyrmr's aid, he hefted Thraen into his arms, supporting him bridal style. Thank god I'm powered up, there's no way I'd have the energy and strength to do this...still hurts like a b***h for him... "Alright, let's go." Knowing that Thraen understood he was sorry for causing additional pain and not wanting to waste more time, Aegir started moving again; he did his best to keep things smooth while still being expedient in transporting the wounded man to waiting care. kuropeco ;D biggrin biggrin Sorry, thyrmr is basically relegated to assistant!

The feel of auras, White Moon, came soft and sweet into the edges of his mind. Then near before he was really aware of it, Aegir's voice by his side and there was a touch to his face. Thraen opened his eyes more fully, willing focus to make the images make sense. Things just weren't processing like they were supposed to- not in speed or acuity. "No ER. " It wasn't even a long sentence, but it felt like talking through molasses. "It's a recognizable...comb the Hospitals for compound fractures to forearm tonight and I'd be....only." He didn't cry out when lifted, but his breath hissed in, caught and held. The whole word shivered worse. He wished he could purr. Cats trembled and purred when they were afraid and in pain. The world fuzzed out again for a few seconds, then came back on. He leaned his temple against Aegir's arm. "Phone. My phone has Maia. " Can't power down yet if ....who is that? They're so bright and pale. Who are you, bright pale creature? Cannot call on my phone if I power down. It'll be fine. Colin feel's sweaty. At least he smells nice. The pretty one has guard then. I'll have to thank them for helping. It's very kind to come. kuropeco Go ahead and stick a close/FTB for Thrymr ~
