It was a funny thing, Amphitrite mused to herself that night as she prowled the park, feeling the leaves crunch beneath her heels, to know what a season was without any memories of living it herself. As far as she remembered, this was her first fall - she didn't have much recollection of it even from her fragments of memories, which yielded bits of summer heat and ice and snow, but not so much as a hint of the changing leaves and their vibrant colors.
She wondered idly if it had ever thrilled her. Did it now? - if she had to ask, then the answer was probably not. She thought that it probably should; after all, how many people got to enjoy their first fall with fresh eyes for the first time?
Even so...
Still, even if 'thrilled' might be too strong a word, she enjoyed the crisp crunching of fall leaves beneath her heels - mostly. But in moments like these, as she pursued fresh prey, it did little to aid her stealth as she crept around, trying to take in her chosen opponent and gauge their strength. For all her well-earned confidence, bordering on cockiness, it wasn't as though she ever went into a situation blindly - Amphitrite was not one to rush into battles she did not believe she could win.
Not that it mattered. Failing all else, she could always teleport away, one advantage the order would never have.

One person of order was particularly displeased she could not simply teleport away. It was the one advantage, save the poleaxe, that Andronicus missed the most from the future. She may not have liked being corrupted, and part of the Negaverse, but damn if teleportation wasn't handy. That, and being able to have a fully bladed weapon capable of savage damage helped.
Andronicus, however, was not part of the Negaverse and had no desires to go to it, even for the ability to pop in and out of places at will. She would just have to do with mild super speed and a rather handy mace.
Speaking of the Negaverse, a flare of Chaos some yards behind her had been following her for the last five minutes. The Squire heard the faint crunch of leaves, which would have been discounted as coincidence if it didn't follow the chaos signature as she lead it through a winding portion of the park almost perfectly. She idly swung her mace at her side, lowing her guard just enough to taught them out.
Whatever it was, was gunna get a face full of weather vein mace for their lack of proper stealth techniques.
The question would be no. Whether or not she had the element of surprise, Amphitrite knew she was better equipped than those of the order. She'd been one of them, after all, and suffered for it.
"Gift of the Ocean, " the corrupt murmured softly to herself, willing the weaker of her shell shields to her forearms before she made a move to strike - whether or not her chosen foe of the night took damage, it was more of a test attack than anything else.
Sailor Scout Attack: Gift of the Ocean A scallop shell shield, one half on each forearm. Shatters under one intense attack, or two/three smaller attacks depending on the intensity; can crack or shatter completely upon using them to augment a tackle on an opponent depending on how successful the tackle is. Use once per battle in the first stage. (Twice in the Super stage.)

Andronicus' reflexes surprised her. They really did.
The squire focused on the mace in her hand, the orb glowing in the night. She paused and spun, catching the corrupt's shell covered arms with the mace. It was a block, not a full strike, yet the momentum of the swing activated her latent magic. Wind shot from the mace upon contact, intent on blowing the corrupt back and off balance.
She was incredibly surprised it even happened, much less worked.
Andronicus eyed the corrupt and decided that, no, she wasn't at a complete disadvantage. The corrupt probably could teleport, but she wasn't anymore powerful than herself.
And Andronicus had a weapon.
"Nice seashells. Do you sell them by the seashore?" taunted the squire, making the worse pun she possibly could because in her experience, if you riled them up, they grew careless. Once they were careless, it was easier to avoid them, and retaliate. A good plan... unless it pissed her off enough she got focused. Andronicus counted on the corrupt's obvious disdain for Order to keep her from being focused.
Squire: Change of Winds Channeled for thirty seconds. Andronicus can change the direction of the wind in a small (5 yard) radius around herself, and use this sudden change of wind to disrupt enemy attacks or knock them off balance. Can be used in short bursts, up until thirty seconds of magic 'time' is used. The change of wind is like a 30 mph gust of wind.
The blow she had counted on, and the shells cracked in the wake of her blow. The wind, however, was a surprise - Amphitrite was thrown off balance and would have probably toppled over if she hadn't caught herself, stumbling and then jumping more agilely back a ways, spreading her arms at her sides with a graceful flourish.
There was a smile on her face - a bit warped, a bit tainted by her own latent sadism - but a smile none the less. "Oh aren't you a cute one, darling, " she purred out, flinging her hair from her eyes with a toss of her head and a light peal of laughter. She began to move, adopting her familiar pattern of prowling in a wide circle around her quarry, watching for openings - or in some cases for a half-baked attempt at an attack. "What a clever girl you are, keeping mace with you in the park at this hour... it's dangerous to go out alone, you know... "

Not good.
Andronicus swallowed, eyeing the prowling senshi with apprehension. Fighting the really savage ones usually didn't go over well for her. Granted, she kept her distance from those ones, so her experience with them was... lacking. This one was terrifying though.
Okay, note to self, some Negaverse agents really do need to be destroyed because... no. Just no.
"Oh I'm aware. Not my first time around the park, I assure you. Why don't you come closer and you can see how well my mace works, hmm?" She did not like the prowling. She liked even less the laughter. This was probably one she'd run from.
"Perhaps I will, " Amphitrite purred, and continued to circle - her smile persisted, her eyes sharp and predatory. Here and there she eased closer, tightening her little dance around the squire, testing the waters as it were to see how close she could get before the woman took a swing. "Perhaps I won't."
She tossed her head once, proudly, her long hair sweeping rather gracefully behind her, and she licked her lips deliberately slow. "You don't know what I'll do, darling - and so the question becomes then, what of you? What will be your next move then? Fight or flight darling, which will it be? You don't seem the type to mince sugary sweet words at any rate."
Her fingers uncurled and curled again into fists, knuckles cracking.

Oh flight, definitely flight, yes why would she stay and fight someone who--- Andronicus smooshed her fear down as far as possible. Senshi magic had limited uses, and if she could hold out long enough the chick would have to resort to fist fighting. Not that Amphitrite probably wouldn't enjoy it, or anything. Her fingers shifted on the shaft of the mace as the corrupted senshi circled her and toyed with her.
Patience, girl, patience.
"Naw, never been my style really. Those shoes must be terrible to run in, nasty little ankle twisters. Can't see how you wear 'em," she commented, turning as she prowled about. Alright, going back to strategy A: get her annoyed enough to screw up.
Or so angry she screamed bloody murder.
Andronicus spun the mace in her hand, testing the waters herself. "As for me... I plan on livin' long after this encounter. Sorry if that throws a wrench in your plans." Not dying today, nope.
