Laurel couldn't explain the feeling when it happened through normal channels. It had stilled him from his head to his feet, like he'd been dumped in snow and immediately tackled by hundreds of adorable kittens. His expression was awed, and his mouth held slightly ajar and protruding as if he couldn't decide whether to pout or to grin, before a sudden gasp set him upon his feet and into a heroic pose.

"I did it, I did it!" He exclaimed, throwing his fist into the air. "The ears are perfect and everything matches like it should! I did it! I can't believe it!"

He reached out for the patchwork plushie he'd spent two weeks making and spun it around, a series of cheers and squeals springing from his lips. All that hard work had finally paid off and now he could tell the world that he had made his very own kind of plushie! The demon hopped, twirled, flopped onto his bed, and rolled onto his side. He set the plushie just within his sight so he could marvel at it, until he found himself furrowing his brows.

"... Maybe I can do more than make plushies." He muttered, slowly sitting up. "... Yeah! I can do so much more than stitch plushies, why shouldn't I try other stuff?"

He hopped off of the bed again and rustled through his drawers. There had to be something plain he could stitch a pattern into somewhere in this pile of clothes! Anything would do, a shirt, a pair of pants, a sw-

"Sweatshirt! There you are!" He laughed, tugging a plain white sweatshirt out from the pile. He hadn't worn this sweatshirt in a long while, mostly because it was so boring, but now he knew how to make it super pretty!

He tossed it on his work table and grabbed his needle and thread. Hm, what would he design on this blank canvas? A castle? A pile of kittens? A ball of yarn? The possibilities were endless! He leaned back in his chair and mulled over his thoughts, before grabbing some crayons and paper. Maybe he needed to draw his ideas first, that might help him decide what to do!

Once he was done doodling, he raised the paper up and gave it a once over. Hm, the meow and the kitty shape were nice, but a little too simple, he wanted a challenge! But, the tree was a bit too much, and he didn't have that kind of green thread for the grass! So, that left him with the hearts and the rainbow! He scrutinized the doodles carefully and eventually circled the rainbow. Yep! That was the perfect thing to put on this plain sweatshirt! He grabbed the thread he needed and quickly set to work.

After an hour or so, Laurel finally placed the needle down. He'd used a lot of thread making all the lines and almost gave up a few times, but his perseverance had paid off! The sweatshirt had been successfully rainbowfied! He shoved his chair back and scooped up the sweater to admire it. Maybe he should try it on to see if it looked good? He quickly slipped the sweater over his head, only to gasp when he couldn't fit his head through half of it! Oh, no! He'd stitched the sweatshirt together instead of just sewing a pattern to the top of it! He'd have to cut it apart and fix it, but that was just a minor set back. At least he knew that he could put patterns on clothing to begin with!

"Don't worry, sweatshirt! I'm going to keep working until I learn how to sew like a master!" He cheered as he undid some of the stitches. "It may take until I'm a big senior, but I'm gonna keep trying until I get it right!"
