Alternian technology was amazing, and Tamiya deeply distrusted it. However, there was always something fascinating – perhaps even calming – about the train. Traveling was a part of her childhood. It brought her to and from Sinter in relative ease, and the color-separated trains offered her respite from potential danger. Even now a flutter grew in her bloodpusher as the huge metal beast pulled up, and Tamiya squinted to try and make out the figures inside. Obscured grey faces and orange horns blurred past as the train pulled into the station. With a groaning halt, rush of air and the familiar announcement tones blaring through the speakers, Elidae had arrived.
Tamiya immediately spotted the yellow-spotted girl through the departing crowd of faces. She adjusted her umbrella and smiled broadly. “Elidae! Your travels were duly safe. Praise the Messiahs.” Looking Elidae up and down, Tamiya considered how she had grown. Outside of the darkness of some damned cave or haunted ******** mansion, she was quite the sight. A picture of prim pity with plenty of potential – perfection! Tamiya gave her a bow.
“You are a sprite; I would not have this night exist in any other miraculous fever dream than this very one! It is the perfect time to lift your sluggish burden with the lightness of cheer, giggliness and the ritual of hygienics. I believe we both have deserved such a break.”
Nodding with confirmation to her own observation, Tamiya shuffled around at her hip for the additional umbrella and produced it for Elidae. “Our stop is down a few blocks. Do you require an umbrella for our holy journey?”
