Does anyone have any hints or tricks for making wigs?
Any specific glue, sewing ideas for them?
(is this guild still active?)

I suggest you look at videos and google search some things. There's also probably a lot of information on DoA.

Maybe 2 or 3.

Someone's a pessimist! But DOA does have the most information.
Are you looking to work with faux fur, hair-on hides, loose fiber, wefts, or something else?

Yeah it really depends on what type hairstyle you're looking to do and what type of wig and and what materials you're looking to use to achieve that.
If you'll be using glue, I've heard good things about Modge Podge and Liquid Latex glues. I've used plain old tacky glue and kanekalon fibers with decent results (though temporary seeing as I won't be able to wash the wig since the glue is water sullable)
