 Cecil opened the door and moved out of the way to let the lawyer in. "It's not much, but it's comfy enough for me." said Cecil after he closed the door. He took off his jacket and hanged it on the nearby coat rack before moving to a white cage near the windows, where two birds chirped at him. He smiled at them and fed them their seeds before turning back to Sawyer. "Did you ever have any pets?""YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!"

 Sawyer Loupohl ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦The apartment was about the same size as, if not a tiny bit smaller than, Sawyer's place back in the city. He wagered he paid more for the same room as the police officer, but that's the price to be paid for living in New York City. Sawyer shrugged at the question, hanging his coat and jacket up and starting to roll up his sleeves. " Depends on what you mean by pets. I grew up on a huge farm in Indiana. Well, it was more of a ranch, if I'm being technical, since we had an array of cattle and horses along with crops. I just call it a farm because it's easier." He loosened his tie a bit, walking further into the apartment. It was nicer than he thought it would be, definitely cleaner and more organized. Cecil was definitely more mature than he gave him credit. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦

"I mean like indoor pets." Cecil said then motioned towards his cage. "I've had these two for two years now. I love birds. They're so much easier to take care of and just as cute." he said while smiling down at the cage before looking back at Sawyer. "You lived in a farm? You don't look the type." he muttered and looked the man over, expecting a farmer's tan to suddenly become visible."YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!"

Of course, he didn't look like a farmer's son. " Well, that's because I'm in a suit. I go back to help out at least once a week, so next time I go, you could come with and see. I'm just as much a farmer as my father." He looked down to his arms, only a little tan from remaining inside almost every day until he returned to Indiana. " If I had my shirt off, it'd probably be easier to tell." He didn't move to take his shirt off, instead sliding his hands into his pockets. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦

"No, I'll take your word for it." Cecil said when he was offered a chance to visit the farm. "I wouldn't know what to do, and it'd be weird if your family heard that I came with you just to watch you farm." he chuckled then sweatdropped at the shirt comment. "No, that's okay." He coddled his birds for a second then started moving to the kitchen. "So you want anything to drink?""YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!"

They all were allowed to the day off whenever Sawyer came to visit, since he ended up doing almost all of the work needed to be done. He was happy to do it. Hard work always got his mind off of whatever he was dealing with. Following close behind Cecil, the man nodded. " Sure. What do you have?" he asked. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦

"Oh that! I've been saving it for Christmas, but alright." the blonde smiled as he clicked it.

It was as bad a movie as it sounded. Bad and brilliant. Cecil laughed most of the time and commented on the worst parts. He picked his own bad movie afterwards and the cycle repeated. More laughs, more comments, and a good time. Cecil was talking about the movie after it had ended when an aggressive knock came at the door. The small cop paused for a second then got up to open the door. At the other end were two officers, both wearing grip expressions.
"Sir..." the one on the right said slowly. "We... We've been ordered to arrest you."
"What?" breathed Cecil. "What for? I haven't done anything!"
As the other cop moved in to put the handcuffs on the small man's wrists, the first one explained, "We've received orders to arrest you for suspicion of being the Nightingale."
"The N-Nightingale?" coughed Cecil. The Nightingale was the most infamous assassin in the country, and he was being accused of being it?! "Y-You can't be serious!""YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!"

" What the hell's going on?" he demanded. The man looked around the apartment, then snatched up a notepad and a green highlighter. He quickly scribbled, then held it up. " I'm Chief Tealy's current legal representation, and I demand you tell me what's happening." He commanded, standing to his full height. The second officer reluctantly repeated the charge, to which Sawyer could only stand still. " What?" He glanced down to Cecil. This guy couldn't be the Nightingale. It was foolish to believe otherwise. " I'll figure this out," he promised as they started to lead him away. " Everything's going to be okay." ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦
