Cassie was curled up on her side in her pile of blankets and pillows deposited gracefully at the foot of her bed. The room was quiet with her roommates out, and she had a book turned on it's side so she could read it as she lay. Her wings shifted the slightest against her back, a soft sigh escaping her. Her eyes were skimming the pages but she wasn't reading a single world. She rolled over onto her back, blindly dog-earring the page before closing her history book.

She was hung up on her adult life that would undoubtedly begin with her first classes at Grendel. The Fallen was getting closer to what she wanted - more knowledge, more experience, and the first opportunities she would have at a career. Cassie rolled back over onto her other side, groaning as she covered her eyes against the ceiling light. She was way too young to be panicking over this type of stuff! If anything, she should be happy she would finally be in the University setting and exploring the same freedoms as Smolder. Now that they had started getting a bit bold and she left after curfew more and more often, the rules that dictated them as Academy students seemed more and more childish and annoying.

She sat up, wings spreading out behind her as she yawned. "I'm going to miss the Academy," she murmured to herself as she settled against her mattress, eyes dragging up the walls of her dorm. Cassie knew she was painfully sentimental, and being raised at the Academy had made a deep impact on her life. She wasn't going to forget it, and she could already imagine long nights that would end in tears, wishing for the simplicity of her old classes and child life. She brushed her bangs back, reminded again that she needed to get a haircut sometime soon. "But this is what you want," Cassie stated a bit harshly, twisting a group of pink hairs between her fingers.

Cassie had all her papers on her desk. She was ready to transition into Grendel the moment her graduation finalized. The Fallen smiled a little as she went to her window, pushing it open to let new air in. She leaned out as far as she could, lifting onto her tip toes. She wasn't afraid of falling, knowing her wings would catch her. Cassie sighed contently, trying to sort out what was left in her head. Uncertainty? Excitement? "A little bit of everything," she declared to the sky, folding her arms across the sill. Cassie just had a few exams to n** in the bud and then she'd be moving on to enjoy her life at University.
