Taika was walking around he had been enjoying the quiet of the forest. He wandered out maybe I'll grab a nap after getting a drink he said heading towards the river. Humming a tune to himself as he moved through the forest.

Zosime prowled under the gloomy trees of the area. She was hunting and most of the game seemed to be hiding. The wind serpent wondered if it was about to start raining. Her tail swished back and forth. Giving up on finding anything more than chattering squirrels in this area, the mare decided to move on. She gave a whistle to Kalril to call him off the hunt.

While he was happy hunting squirrels endlessly for her, she found the tiny scraps took forever to catch enough. Plus she didn’t like the way the fluffy tails got caught in her teeth. Zosime rustled her wings as she straightened up and headed toward a clearing to meet up with her familiar.

Taika: was walking and came out to an opening and looked up to the gray clouds he shook his head hoping it wouldn't rain it would not go good with his flames he walked up to the river staying alert and taking his drink.

The scream of a hawk pulled the mare up short. Her crest of head feathers went down then up. There was something up ahead of her that Kalril didn’t think she could see. And he was right. Zo lowered her feathers and slipped through the undergrowth with her wings pressed firmly against her body. She was practiced at hunting small game, but she could stalk large.

Now that she was paying attention, she could hear the sounds of hoof steps and water burbling. Zo knew there was a stream up ahead. She bet someone was visit it. The dark mare moved forward until she could see who or what was in the area. For a moment she watched a dark stallion with little blue flames dancing around him.

Those flames interested her. Zo stepped out of the forest to meet the stallion. “Greetings.”

Taika turned around hearing the hawk but he didn't pay it no mind. He then heard a greeting his flames lit as he turned to see a mare say hello. She was dark with red and gold and had feathers. Interesting he thought and turned over "why hello" he said nodding and checking if others were with her.

Zosime stepped further out of the woods. No one came to join her but a hawk landed on her wing. The same one who’d called warning. She watched his flames as he moved. Near as she could tell they weren’t attached in any way she could see. She’d encountered fire before, and couldn’t help wonder if these were hot or not as they were blue.

“I’m Zosime. Are those flamelets yours?”

Taika looked at the mare "hello my name is Taika it's nice to meet you. Oh my flamelets yes they are mine he nudged one up." He smiled.

The mare watched intrigued. Her glowing red eyes followed their movements in the air. Fire she saw was usually on the ground, not hovering in the air all over. Suddenly she was wary. “They won’t burn me?”

Zosime knew her feathers were flammable. Granted she wouldn’t normally be concerned in this atmosphere with the clouds. But these weren’t normal flames either. She had no idea how they’d behave if they were to get wet.

Taika smiled a bit "oh no they are a bit like the reflections of my emotions. You can touch them if you like" he said eyeing the mare and the hawk. "Who might your friend here be?"

She pondered what he’d told her. A reflection of his emotions. Sort of like her crest. Well enough! Zosime stepped tentatively closer and stretched her neck out toward one of the farther flames from him. It was rather brave of him to stand there given her appearance. She wondered if he could tell she was only curious.

“My friend? His name is Kalril. He helps me hunt.” She felt the hawk stretch his wings in greeting. Kalril bobbed his head at the stallion. “Hello.”
