It had been not so very long since her unexpected run in with what she now knew to be a Negaverse officer. That fact alone had the young student on edge, and even more so for the fact that she now knew that it was her job to protect not only herself, but others from these terrible people. Her?! Sitara? That was just crazy. She was the furthest thing from a fighter and certainly not much more than a pacifist at that. How was she suppose to take down creatures that wanted nothing more than to destroy life and everything that she herself held so very dear?
It was this very thought that remained forever in her mind as she wandered the streets. She fumbling over the small cellphone she now kept on her person at all times. It did her little help, seeing as she knew next to no one, but there was a strange security in knowing that this was a token of her calling, and that it was the one thing that was solid in all this new information she had been given.
She wandered passed the local library, she more than once having to excuse herself as she nearly walked into two or three passersby. She was so lost to her thoughts that she did not even notice the oncoming bus that moved toward her as she crossed the street, her hair blocking most of it from view.
'Momma would be so worried for me if she knew I was having to go out fighting. She would scold me for even thinking about doing such things. 'School Sitara, school is where your head needs to be, not in the clouds where this little fantasy lies' Oh yes...she would give me a tongue lashing for sure...and Gran...oh gods she would kill me!' She glanced up in time to startle as the bus came toward her, she letting out a cry before freezing for but a second as her mind tried to tell her to move out of the way.

Hadaya wandered along the street happily, humming to himself as he padded along on his short little legs. He was a sweet little guy, with very few troubles in life, as far as he was concerned. Maybe things were a little complicated sometimes, but as long as he had friends, family and food around, he was happy.
He knew better than to cross the street without looking, but it seemed other people were not taught those sorts of things? He saw the girl standing in the road and let out a yelp.
As a small, stumpy legged cat, there was very little he could do about buses.
"Get out of the way, get out of the way!" he yelled, anyway, running toward her and biting her shoe lace, tugging at it helplessly like that would help pull her out of the way in time. It put him right in the danger zone, but he couldn't just do nothing.

The sound of someone yelling at her seemed to draw Sitara from her state of shock. She blinked once, then twice before gathering herself, and the small cat that now clung to her shoe, and rolled away from the bus just in time to be safe. She gasped and tried to calm her racing heart, she taking a moment before she realized that she might, in fact, be crushing the small, furry, animal that had been so kind and brave to come to her and distract her enough to save her. "My goodness...!" She moved her body, checking the the small cat out and looking for any signs of damage. "Are you ok? I didn't mean to lay all over you like that, little kitten." She carefully pet his fur, she smiling warmly at him with her crimson eyes. He was a lovely little creature, and the fact that he was out alone in this big city made Sitara rather sad. No animal should be out and about in a world like this. "Do you have a home?" She looked for a collar. Perhaps there was an address there. The fact that his cat had shouted at her had not quite sunk in. Not that the fact would have startled her at this point. After all, she had Snowball to thank for that. "You know...you are quite the brave little man. Not just any cat would go out of his way to save a poor young human like me." She giggled, she dusting off her skirt just a bit. "Of course, I seem to be getting saved by a lot of cats as of late."

Hadaya was very dizzy after they rolled out of the way, very confused about what way was up and wiggling helplessly in her arms as he struggled to find purchase with his feet on something solid. He ended up clinging to her, trying not to dig in his claws but also wanting to hold on to her as tightly as he could.
He looked up at her with the biggest, widest eyes that could possibly fit in his head, chest rising and falling rapidly from fear.
"I-I'm okay," he eeped out, not noticing if he had been hurt or not in all that fuss. It didn't seem so, as he was a very small cat and he had a lot of built in cushioning. Plus, she had done a good job sheltering him as she jumped, which kept him from getting squished. He purred and rubbed his head against her thankfully, trying to crawl up onto her shoulder to nuzzle against her neck.
"I thought you were going to get squished! I'm so glad you're okay!" He had a home, though his harness didn't have any indication of who he belonged to. It was better that way, to keep his family safe in case he revealed his identity as a guardian cat. Like just now, by yelling at someone and talking to them without really stopping to think about it.

Sitara smiled and lightly pet the young kitten's head. The way he looked at her with those wide eyes made her feel sorry for having rolled him so quickly, She was normally much more gentle with animals, but knowing that they had both been in danger, she had acted quickly. "I am not squished, and thankfully so thanks to you. You are a very brave kitten, and if i might have your name, dear sir, so I might thank you properly?" She lightly scratched behind the young kitten's ears. She still a bit shaken as she sat there, on the side of the road, holding her savior in her arms. She was certain that she was coming off as some sort of crazy cat lady in the eyes of any of those that passed her, but all the same, she owed this little one her life and that is what mattered at the moment. "You are not hurt, are you, my dear little friend?"
