 It'd been a while since Esperenza went far enough to find a new path to take and a new place to find. Yet, with all the free time she has she decides that it'll be nice to see where this certain paths goes and what sort of creatures might await here once she gets there. Since the temperature is starting to drop, the colors around her starting to change, she wonders who might be out and about during this weather. Maybe someone else that is just walking around looking for a new friend or even just someone new to meet and talk with. Since she has herself to look after she normally has everything stored away for the whole day or for both that day and the day after. So when she finally gets to the end and finds herself in a medium clearing which is surround by trees and has a stream running through it. Walking over she starts to drink form the stream having become rather thirsty from the slightly long trot there.

** only edited post on aug23/21 to get rid of the ugly photobuckt cert ** The mare stepped out of the grove that she had slept in the night before and looked up at the sky. There was no speck of blue left to be seen, only the greys and whites of clouds. Her hairs were already standing straight to try and contain what's little left of her body heat, and the wind felt cold against her chin. Kye had only taken a few steps forward before she sneezed loudly in the clearing. She shivered and shook her head. Her mane swaying about as she moved. Fall was definitely here since the leaves in the forest turned into shades of yellows and reds. It looked quite pretty to her as they've scattered across the brown earth. She continued on to amuse herself by stepping on the dried leaves, hearing it crunch under her hoofs, as she heads out to make her way on over to the nearest stream. For a mare that was born so gentle and beautiful, she was secretly of high maintenance material. She didn't mind a little dirt but once it gets caked onto her fur, she wants it gone. Even if it means standing in a cold stream for minutes washing it all off on a day like today. Just down the twisted path that ran through a row of trees, she could spot a small stream running with water. Within it, it looked to her as if someone else was there too but her mind seems to be playing tricks on her since she knew the yellow and red leaves cannot form a shape of another soquili.

While standing there she continues to slowly drinking from the stream since the water is cool making her take her time drinking it. While she drinks from the stream thoughts of Yukio Beck and Sleet since it's been a while since she last saw them and she ever so hopes they will be back in time for Winter. When someone gets close enough to her it startles her out of her thoughts and she raises her head to see who it is. After drinking the water in her mouth she smiles and greets the other. "Hello, I'm Esperenza and it's nice to meet you. I must stay I wasn't too sure if I would meet someone else today seeing as it's getting colder. So I'm glad I'm not the only one walking around here. Though, there can be a lot of fun things to do during the colder seasons, I can't wait for Winter seeing as I love leaving hoof prints in the snow."

The mare focused on the figure up ahead and could sense it actually being the real thing as she got closer to the stream. Between the falling of leaves, right there in front of her was a mare with the same shades and colours as autumn. She watched her drink the cool water and moved further into the stream. First her left hoof disappeared below the water line, and then her right hoof followed. The water was cold but she had to get rid of the dirt off of her body. The stranger gave her a smile. That was a sign to be able to surpass their comfort bubble. Soon after, her hind legs made their way into the water too. She gave a simple reply "Kye," back at the mare and submerged lower into the cold stream until her shoulders were out of sight. Kye played around in the water for a bit and then turned to face the autumn coloured mare. "I didn't think to run into anyone else either," she said, and took another dip. This time, only her ears were visible until she flung her head out of the water gasping for air. "I don't really like winter. Why would anyone look forward to that? You could leave hoof prints in the mud too." She rubbed her nose against her shoulder blade, rubbing off any potential dirt that may have clung onto her skin.

When the other started to walk into the stream she was shocked beyond belief because the water must be so very cold and she would never have walked in the stream. Yet, she has a feeling that Kye must have her reason for doing so. Esperenza nods, "Alright, I feel like I've heard 'to each their own' and probably a few other sayings about how certain others like or dislike certain things. And I'm looking forward to it because of small handful of things and in the high hopes that my adopted Son might return from his journey when Winter comes around since it's been a while since I last saw him. So I learned to love things that I might not have loved before, without his being around. And mud was never one of those things that he loved so I never really took the time to do something like that. Though, it's a something to look forward to after it rains and maybe I'll have the luck of getting my adopted Son into trying it with me." Walking forward a bit she places her right hoof in the water to test just how cold it is before pulling her leg back and looking back at Kye still wondering why she's in the stream. Though, she's not going to ask Kye since she doesn't need to know anything that Kye doesn't want to tell her. Of course, she remembers how she used to walking into rivers, streams, and or lakes to cool off during the warmer days of Spring and of course during Summer.

The water was cold indeed, but this mare was quite used to walking into cold streams by now. Each time she enters, she had to do it slowly for her body to accept such a low temperature to make sure she doesn't catch a fever or a snotty nose. Kye just nodded back as she cleaned herself in the water. "Some like the warmth, some prefer extreme coldness. As for me, I am one of those that rather spend my days out with the sun for as long as I can." Shifting her weight a little, Kye wobbled away from the deeper end, away from the pebbles and boulders at the bottom of the stream, and found the hard surface of solid land. She walked out when the other mare had just finished testing the temperature of the water. The mutant mare giggled and shook herself clean of the water on her hairs and hide. At last she was free of dirt. But looking down at her hooves, she already saw a slight new layer of filth forming around them. It was bearable for now...until it was too noticeable and starting to crust... She decided to pay attention to Esperenza to try and ignore the grime on her hooves. "Your adopted son, you say? Wherever did he go?" Kye walked a few steps away from the stream, hinting at the mare to follow suit as she pointed toward the forest with her nose, since she had a feeling that Esperenza won't go into the water after dipping her hoof into it.

Nodding in agreement, "I'm the kind that enjoys just about all of the for the most part unless it gets hot or it gets too cold. Unless I can find a cool stream, river, and or lake to lay in to keep me cool during the hotter days. While I mostly stay curled up in the cave when the days are too cold to enjoy the snow if there is any." Moving her legs she tries to keep warm while standing still so she shakes her neck a bit. When Kye looks over she nods her head once more, "Yes, and he went on a journey with his friend, Sleet, to help him to find his parents. So I'm not entirely sure where he went, all I do know is that he's been traveling for a rather long time. I'll be so joyful to see him when he returns so the sooner the better." Turning she walks in the direct that Kye wants her to go in seeing as she is not walking through that stream, unless her life depended on it. She likes cool to cold water, though, that's only when it's Summer and it's the only way to cool off.
