Name:
Nervit Lafute

If you tweak her name a little, you get Nerve Fault, and the middle letters spell 'Vital'.

Blood colour:
#935016
An orangeblood, Nervit is low on the spectrum, but not the lowest. She laughs about it, telling people she's "A short-lived fast-paced never-stay-down orangeblood girl." She's smack-dab in the middle of yellow and red, for all it matters - a lowblood is a lowblood, after all. For Nervit, the caste system is a matter of normalcy - she's not fond of it (what lowblood is after all) but it's how the world has always worked, and how it always will.

Gender:
Unlike some trolls, Nervit has always felt comfortable in her skin, and it matches her well - she's a girl despite the short hair and scars - and her slender frame is rounded out by her thoratic fat sacks and noticable hips.

Symbol:
The symbol Nervit's been assigned to match her caste is a lamp-like image with a flame in the center. It's very visual compared to some trolls more abstract symbols, but she likes it.

Profile:
The first thing people tend to notice about Nervit is her scars - the ones on her skin and the silvery robotic limbs; they tell every troll two things. One; she's a fighter. And two; she doesn't know when to give up. One robotic limb could be an accident; two means you're either hot-headed or accident prone. Nervit is a bit of both. She leaps into most things with nigh on a thought on whether she's actually qualified to do it, and she doesn't like to give up.

The most accurate description of her would probably be a thrillseeker. She's always after the next adventure, the next adrenalin rush. Be it desert-surfing or mountain climbing, sassing a highblood or eating some potentially-poisonous food cooked by the person she's crashing with, she never says no to a challenge. She's spunky and loud and really a terrible example of a lowblood (in her opinion) because she never shuts up and never stay down and never lets anybody tell her what or what not to do.

(Her lusus would be so ashamed.)

She doesn't like lusii. They make her sad. She doesn't have one, and if anybody asks she never had one! Never! This leads us onto another of her personality points; denial. She refuses to accept things that she doesn't like. This includes mentions of her past, conciliatory gestures and anything that makes her feel. She does know that eventually, she'll need a matesprit and a kismesis, but adulthood is so far off, and frankly she doesn't really give herself much of a chance of making it. She knows that her behaviour is unacceptable. She knows that she's a borderline cull case with her metal limbs and messed up thinkpan but she just can't stop.

Nobody needs her anyway - or at least that is what she believes.

But that's really morbid and paints a picture that isn't quite Nervit generally. Despite all this...junk inside, she generally acts really peppy and outgoing and is always ready to chat with, about or up people! She's allergic to serious emotional conversations however, and will avoid them like they're the plague - but other than that she's ready to chat about anything and to just about anyone.

Strengths:

Adventurous

She never says no to a challenge! Be it stealing or climbing, free-falling or spelunking. Fighting or sparring, desert-surfing or seeing how far she can get out to sea before a seadweller starts to chase her. She lives for adrenalin highs, that moment when her body starts to say : oh ********, and her brain is flying on chemicals. When her bloodpusher is pounding away like it's going to burst and her muscles are trembling and her pupils are dilated and everything boils down to this. one. moment. Well. That's when she truly feels alive.
(Because nothing else matters then, everything falls away, she doesn't have to think or feel.)

Accomplished FLARPer

Originally taking up this hobby out of spite, Nervit found herself thoroughly enjoying it, and it soon became something akin to an obsession. She's reached the top level for her class. A decent clouder (though she does tend to overlook a few things here and there) as well as a player. She's actually a little well-known in the FLARP world. Well, her FLARP character that is, not her as a person. This means she is good at combat, but more than that she is good at tactics and posistioning. This includes climbing rock faces and attacking from a distance, as well as hiding underwater breathing through a reed, but not so much long-term planning such as traps or ambushes. She's made a name for herself in FLARP as the PEERLESS PLEBEIAN. This is intriguing enough without being overly offensive to highbloods. Indeed, the plebeian in the title means she can get away with playing FLARP with almost anyone. Of course this often ends badly for others. She is very, very good.

Social

Despite her dislike for emotions, she has a visceral need for interaction. In truth? She's lonely. She'll talk to anyone who'll listen. And when she's not on the hunt for an adrenalin high by inciting fights, she's actually a pretty decent listener. She even gives pretty decent advice and she does have a whole bunch of stories to tell. Generally, she keeps her socialising to the lower blooded castes and the occasional mid-blood, because high-blood socialising usually ends pretty badly for one of those concerned. (usually Nervit.)

Quick Reflexes

FLARP has also heightened already good reflexes into what could almost be called ninjaquatic-level skill. Or could also be called over-active paranoia. If trolls had such a thing. Even when she's hiding in FLARP she struggles to keep still. When she talks to people she tends to runherwordstogether and talk too much too fast. She never struggles to come up with an answer or pause at awkward moments in a fight because after perigrees - maybe even sweeps- of snap-second decisions it comes naturally to her. Her brain is overactive quite alot of the time. Most of the time this is very useful, but occasionally it does get her in trouble.

Flaws:

Footloose

And fancy free. She doesn’t stick around anywhere for longer than a few days.A wanderer, an adventurer, Nervit sleeps in half-built shacks that might crumble in the sun, and NEVER EVER stays long enough to start to care about someone. A social butterfly, sure - and she can get on with anyone, but she's just that - a butterfly. Darting from place to place, person to person. It's difficult for her to form lasting relationships because she's too afraid that they'll get hurt. Not that she'd ever admit that.

Afraid

And deep down she's afraid. She loves being social but is afraid to stay long enough to care about someone because she doesn't want to lose them again. She's afraid of highbloods because they're unpredictable. She's afraid hanging out with lowbloods will increase the chances of her getting culled. She's afraid of getting culled. She's afraid of surviving to adulthood because then she'll be put to work - as a lowblood she doesn't have any rights. She wants to rebel but she's afraid of getting caught - do you know what they do to rebellers? She acts like a bigshot but only because she's afraid of letting people in. She is so, so very afraid of her emotions. She's afraid of the world and she closes it all up so nobody can tell.

Reckless

We've already mentioned Nervit doesn't say no to a challenge! This means however, she often takes on too many! She's hurt herrself doing this before - taking on a seven-day fast whilst mountainclimbing led to her almost losing ANOTHER limb - and some nasty frostbite scars. She tends to dive into things without considering how they might hurt her, and usually she does end up hurt!

Casteist

Nervit's afraid of everybody. And thanks to a society where fear is a weakness to be eroded, it turns into hate. She hates highbloods. Hates them for having longer lives, for being stronger, healthier. For getting more money and being the cream of the crop. Hates them for being unpredictable, for being dangerous, for being able to have fun. Hates their giant houses. She hates lowbloods. Hates them for being weak, for being easy to control, for the fact they'll dob others in to help themselves. Hates that nobody stands up and says 'this is wrong' and if they do they get culled. Hate that they have to scrape by on nothing. Hate them for surviving and perpetuating more of themselves. In essence no matter what blood shade they are, Nervit hates and distrusts them for various reasons.

Weapon:
Nervit's FLARP class is a whirling dervish. Her weapon fits with this title easily, two razor-sharp almost diamond-shaped blades attached to a length of long chain. She also has two ROBOTIC LIMBS which can get her out of a pinch by virtue of being pretty darn strong.

Appearance:

If it were up to Nervit, she would wear as little as possible - and hey look, it is up to Nervit and she does! Almost a challenge, Nervit wears a tube-top and shorts, combined with a sporty jacket in her bloodcolour, and a glove and a foot-wrap to protect her remaining limbs. They show off her robotic limbs and her multitude of scars readily. Her eyes are still hidden by a long fringe, but the rest of her hair has been roughly chopped off. One of her horns has grown as it should, into what can only be described as 'antlers', but the other was cracked off and has only healed over and started to grow.

Home:
Aah, basecamp, the heart of every troll.

It is somewhat ironic, then, that Nervit doesn't have a basecamp at all. . I mean...technically she does. She has an empire-assigned apartment in a hivestem in New Hemisect, the same one she recieved as a wiggler. But the key for it is rusted, and if anybody were to break down the door, they'd find it covered in layers and layers of dust. Nervit hasn't been 'home' so to speak since she was five sweeps old. Not the only hiveless lowblood, butcertainly one of the more hand-to-mouth ones, Nervit tends not to stay in a single place for more than a few nights.Whether its crashing with FLARPing buddies or holing up in a cave, and even once or twice making shelters yourself out of blackout cloth and tent poles.

Lusus:

A lusus? Why would she have a lusus? Nervit has never had a lusus, she doesn't know what you're talking about haha bye!

....

If Nervit's lusus were still alive, Nervit would be a very different troll. A terrestrial salamander who had very little in terms of physical defences, his main teachings to his charge were knowing when to pick fights (aka never) and being a good, subservient lowblood. And Nervit followed them obediently, up until the day a highblood killed him. She's....never quite been the same, after that.

Slides in~

Considering Nervit was shy and unassuming as a child, what brought about her desire to actually seek out danger? Nervit's past adrenaline-based experiences weren't exactly kind to her. What made her change her mind?

How does Nervit reconcile her hatred of various blood castes with her social life? How big of a factor is it in her inability to form relationships? I understand her beef with highbloods, but the wording of the casteism flaw makes it sound like she's just as bitter towards lowbloods.

Something important to keep in mind for a nomadic troll: They need to sleep in sopor slime. The alternative is suffering horrifying dreams of blood and chaos every day. As long as this is addressed, living the vagabond lifestyle should be okay.
