Shu was dreaming, in her dream she saw a cave. Afloat in the air, she heard the vague sound of waves hitting against the shore and the refreshing smell of salt went into her nose. Partially immersed in the water was a large cave. Craggy rocks and kelp covering the surface, the cavern was old and rarely visited.
She witnessed and had the cognition that the cavern rose every year for a while before it sank into the sea. Feeling herself dove in the water and entered a hole, soon, she was out of water. The area she drifted was a spacious room filled with the smell of brine and fish, it was different from the putrid fish market smell, but the impression of the ocean. It was dark for her, but she felt what were there, several rooms behind several doors. When she pushed one of them and walked in, dazzling bright lights went into eyes, spread and unfolded.
It was unusual for her to wake up with deep impression of the place, closing her eyes, she could still hear the ripples of the waves. Shu was the type that acted once she determined a thing. On a free day, she went to the Library to search for information, believing that place actually existed.

Ace was loitering around after completing his duties, for some reasons, he went into the library and wanted to pick a book to kill time. He was leaning against a book shelf and reading the abstract of first book of a fantasy novel series. When he was considering how fun it might be, there was toppling sound coming from a few shelves followed by a girl's voice. He closed the book and went to check out of curiosity.
What he saw was a petite figure picking up books and piled them up, the books scattered onto ground like collapsed tower, cascading and sliding outwards. It was quite a funny scene, Ace bent to help her, seeing how nervous she seemed to be. "Oh it's you." He remembered her bright big eyes and sweet smile. "What are you finding?" He asked, carried the books over to a table for the petite girl.

Maybe she take too many books at once, just moving a few steps, she felt the weight was unexpectedly heavy and the pile began to shake. Eventually they inclined and all fell onto the ground, she made a short quick yell and anxiously picked them up. There was a male voice from nearby, she raised her head and met with a grinning face. "Hello Ace, you're finding books as well?" Shu smiled at the tall man, wasn't fast to get back the books when the man carried the books away.
The petite hunter followed behind Ace and sat next to him, the books were luckily intact. Her choice of books were all about underwater caves, sunken caverns or similar things.

"Happy to see you, Shu. Nothing big, just wanna find a novel to kill my time and you?" Without her agreement, he fiddled with the books and checked the titles from the book ridges. "Caves? You want to go treasure hunt?" He joked.

"Ah." The girl opened her mouth slightly, nodded and closed it. "Have you found anything then?" She nodded and then halted for one second to shake her head, Ace gave her a baffled look so she explained further. "I dreamed of a place, a lucid dream that left a clear impression. Hmm, I believe it actually exists and want to check it out."
She moved the the big thick book on the top of the pile down and skimmed through it. The places described and photographed were not the somewhere she dreamed of, she switched to open another book. "As it might have some treasures hidden inside...... you can say so?" Shu tilted her head obliviously, uncertain of the answer to his question.

"I was reading an abstract when all of your books fell," he grinned. A dream of a place that left a deep impression? He never have one, at least not about a place he hadn't been to. That was interesting in Ace's point of view, "Do you plan to go alone?" He asked, it seemed risky if she planned to go by herself. Even he knew she was an intermediate hunter, who probably had better experiences than him. She was still a young girl, that won't change with the rank.

She must be blushing like an apple! Feeling the temperature of her face, Shu guessed. "I-I'm sorry, it was loud, wasn't it?" She was so flustered for her carelessness. "I would be more careful next time!" The second book didn't give any information of what she was finding as well, she sighed and went onto the third one. "Hmm, I do plan to go by myself. I can't drag someone into unknown danger like this." Holding her head with one hand, her another hand was flipping the pages. Her honey colored eyes flickered line through line quickly, it seemed to suggest that the book won't be useful.

Ace waved casually, "Nah, don't mind that." So she'd planned to go alone, such a brave little girl. He thought, slightly impressed by her bravery. "What if I volunteer myself to go with you?" He offered, thinking it would be a fun journey and a good chance to get off the island.

Shu snapped to Ace's side, waving her head in refusal. "Nope, you can't go with me, I don't know what dangers we'll be facing!" The petite Asian wanted to change the tall Sun hunter's mind, the fact that he was a trainee and it seemed to give her a portent.

"Trying to verify if a place in dream is real, that doesn't sound like a strong reason?" Ace flipped the pages of a book and casually read: Sơn Đoòng Cave, is a solutional cave in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park, Bố Trạch District, Quảng Bình Province, Vietnam. As of 2009 it has the largest known cave passage cross-section in the world - The Sun hunter found the pictures of it were absorbing, and the scenery of it was like another world, rarely visited by mankind.
Ace seldom develop interests in something deeply, even beautiful nature like that, he could detach himself easily from it. Meanwhile, the reason why the girl had a strong desire to find the cavern was on his top priority.

Didn't expect to be asked, Shu was startled and paused her action of turning a page. Instead of looking at the tall hunter, she chose to cast her eyes down to the small squirming texts on the book. "You're right, do you believe in guidance angels? I believe. I believe the dream is given by my sisters, they want me to go and visit it. There must be something they want me to find out." The petite Death hunter closed the book and raised her head, "It's rather nonsense, right?" She grinned but her eyebrows creased.

"I don't," Ace grinned brightly, "I'm an orphan, I don't have any siblings." <I'm your guidance angel ♡> A sensation of something softly brushed over his neck resulted at the same time the dreamlike voice crooned in his mind. "You're free to believe what you believe, and no one can judge you because they are not you." He shrugged. "In other words, I mean: don't stop me from going with you."

"I can't guarantee your safety," she warned. It was true, she could barely survive each time she had external mission and she failed so many times when she was still a trainee. Dreams, alternate universes, she seemed to have difficulty to detach herself from the given roles.
As a goddess, she was aloof but sympathetic, it felt great to have powers in her hands. As an infected, she didn't care about anything or people. As a knight, she craved for power to take revenge and masked her loneliness. She wasn't surprised to be looked down on even she almost reached full rank, she didn't mind it but simply wanted to be useful.

He chuckled at the serious expression of the petite Asian and gave a flick on her forehead. "You think too much, I'm an adult, and would be responsible for my own decision. Don't you worry." Deliberately, he left a pale pink mark on her forehead, it made her twitched and wrinkled her face. Ace felt amused by Shu's expression and the frown when she gently rubbed over the spot.
"Deal?" He reached out and waited for her answer, feeling confident that she won't reject this time.

"You think too much," he said. To Shu, one of the most scariest thing for her was seeing her friend being hurt. However, his carefree attitude and casualness she felt from his words moved the heavy stones on her heart. Hesitatingly, she held his hand. "D-Deal."
