It was officially winter. Halloween was past, which means there was a whole two heart-beats of time before Christmas threw up all over the city. Thanksgiving wasn't even here yet and already shops were playing Jinglebells and some bastardized version of Silent Night.
It made Eden a little sad. The leaves were still a vivid orange, and it was like people were trying to forget that autumn was still in full swing. She clasped her lantern behind her back, holding it with both hands like some girls would hold a book bag. She was feeling a little more relaxed though, just the other day she had had another wonderful outing with a few other girls who happened to also be cosmos knights. Aside from their outings, everything had been blissfully uneventful for her. Asides, of course, from the ever present conundrum of how to remind Caledonia and Rannoch who they were.
It was a problem ever on her mind. And as she wondered down a residential block getting closer to her home, she forgot that she was still powered, her brain pre-occupied as she left the busy streets to lanes dotted with puddles of orange cast by streetlights.
Would Galaxite remember his life if she maybe somehow saw his wife? The idea made her twist her lips in a frown. How exactly would she enplane to a wife that she had just recently met her now missing husband but we were totally friends and we should get coffee? What about Cale? What if she found his memories? What exactly happened to them when someone was corrupt? Where did they GO? If she found who had corrupt Caledonia could she maybe get them back?
Round and round her thoughts went, oblivious to everything around her.

( From Gdocs ) Noir Songbird A Page’s aura was a curiosity, not a threat, particularly since Ashanite was fairly certain - going on a mental map of a city he wasn’t entirely sure was correct - that it was headed towards a residential area. The captain bounced onto a roof and made his way in the direction she was, casually catching up. He took a moment to observe her and consider before he actually jumped down. She was lovely, with long hair that almost looked iridescent, bedecked in rainbows and white. Cosmos. That was interesting enough. She also seemed - assuming he was reading her body language correctly - distracted. He lit on the street behind her, weapons dismissed, one hand resting on his hip and head cocked interestedly. “You might want to power down before you get too much closer to home - assuming that’s where you’re headed. I’ll leave, if you ask, but some of my comrades might not be so generous.” Correct to his assumptions, Eden had been so completely lost in thought she hadn't even felt his aura until he startled her out of her revere. She almost tripped when he spoke, and whirled around to the chaos signature that was suddenly right on her.
Oh my god.
HE WAS NAKED.
She blinked but froze like a deer in the head lights. “ R-right… “ She stammered out, both from fear of suddenly being so close to a chaos aligned person ( because let's be honest that usually did not end well for her ) and because she was trying REALLY hard not to look at him and yet not look at him at the same time. Which meant she was staring intently some where around his Adam's apple.Noir Songbird It was not often that someone was so thoroughly distracted by Ashanite’s outfit. He raised his eyebrows, briefly, but then he realized this was something of an opportunity. At least for a little bit of amusement, if nothing else. He took a step closer, bringing her within arm’s reach, and then reached out to gently rest a finger under her chin and tip her head up. “My face is up here, darling.” He said, tone teasing and playful. He let go, and then gave her a little bit of a bow. “Ploutonion, formerly of Saturn, currently of the Negaverse. May I ask your name?” A small strangled sound almost like an “eep”, that she had tried to keep from escaping, left the tiny girl, and her whole body snapped to attention, taking a half step back when he touched her. She also blushed so suddenly and so furiously that she almost felt light headed.
It did accomplish what he wanted though, Eden looked up at him with wide green eyes, and his words hit home…. another one.
“ Wait… you used to be a Saturn knight? “ She wasn't exactly ignoring his request for an introduction.. it’s just, she was having a slow realization that more than likely every negaverse agent was indeed some form of knight ripped away from them. And it was a horror that never really occurred to her. She just sort of assumed Galatite and Caledonite were the exceptions to the rule, A CRUEL CRUEL JOKE PLAYED ON HER FRAGILE HEART. But the more she got to know the agents of the negaverse, when they weren't trying to rip her starseed out or murder her and such, the more she realized the heart breaking truth.
And suddenly, Eden looked like a puffy feline who had been pet the wrong way. “ WHO DID THIS TO YOU “ She clenched her tiny firsts infront of her like she was ready to deck someone in the chin - which was almost a laughable mental image.

Ashanite wanted to laugh, her reaction was so embarrassed and overblown. But that would have been cruel, so instead he stood straight, rested a hand on his hip, and just waited for her to calm down.
"I did," he confirmed, and lifted up the broken Saturn symbol on a chain around his neck, to draw her attention to it. But it was hard to retain his normal charm and calm in the face of her suddenly puffing up angrily - not even Mont Blonc had reacted this fiercely, and they had known each other.
"I..." That he was startled was genuine, and it took him a moment to compose himself. "A General named Umber, and a General-Queen named Laurelite. Please, trust me when I say - an attempt to take revenge for me will not end well for you."

Eden looked at the broken symbol, and was flooded with such intense sadness that it mixed with her anger in a swirl of toxic emotions. She felt extremely helpless. Sure, she didn't know this one, and she certainly couldn't have done anything to stop it.... but that was the problem, wasn't it? She reached out a tiny hand hesitantly to touch the broken Saturn symbol.
" I'm sorry I couldn't help you... " She said quietly. God, why was her face wet? Oh well, it didn't matter. " I know, I know... I'm not strong enough to help anyone... no use in getting myself killed... " She let her hand drop, but one of her hands stayed locked in a death grip around her lantern, the dainty beads trembling as her hand shook.
But still. She had names. Laurelite... Umber. She carved them into her memory. Everyone who ripped a knight or senshi from their home, she would remember. " Are you at least... Okay? "
God this sounded so stupid, she had no other idea how to ask what it is she was trying to ask. Caledonia hadn't been willing, and it seemed to have broken and reformed a part of him, the same with Rannoch. There seemed little she could do other than be there for them and try to pull them back. There WAS a way, she knew it. She had been promised that. She hadn't seen it herself, but she would trust that they could come back.
" Like... can I help you... you know... get out? Are they takeing care of you?! Are you at least safe!?! DO YOU NEED A HUG?!?!? " Eden did not like being filled with so many volatile emotions. She wanted to hit something. She wanted to protect this half-naked guy who could probably kick her a** across the country twice over. She wanted to squirrel away all the corrupt knights away somewhere warm and safe and then torch the negaverse with rainbow fire. It didn't even make sense, but its what she wanted to do.

Ashanite shook his head, pulling back the necklace and letting it go. "No one could. People were there, plenty of them. A Cosmos Page nearly died trying to save me. It isn't just you, the Negaverse is..." He exhaled.
"'The Negaverse will have no opponents in days to come. The fate of all will be either assimilation—or death.' That's...what Laurelite said, when she corrupted me. And she's right." He crossed his arms, shrank into himself, looked away from her. "I'm alive. That's all I can ask for." He said, shrugging his shoulders.
He turned back to her, reached out, rested a hand on her shoulder. "You can't help me get out. I'll die, if I leave - if I even think about leaving." He exhaled. "And I still don't know your name."

She make a snort of derision that still managed to sound dainty and lady like " Well, I don't believe that one bit. Laurelite can go suck a lemon. " Which was pretty much the closest thing anyone would ever get to hear her swear. " I've seen wondrous things and horrors sense this all began. The horrors fade away with time, but the wonder always sticks. The Negaverse is just another horror, and you don't have to be a part of it. " The light on her lantern shone just a little brighter, as if in agreement with her words. Or maybe it was just her imagination.
He put his hand on her shoulder, and she reached up and covered it with her own. She frowned, they had such a close watch on their agents that they even knew what they were thinking? That put a small tremor of fear through her but it was still a pale and distant thing compared to her rage and sorrow. " Eden. "
For a moment he had looked so sad and lost, with his arms crossed and looking so vulnerable, that before she knew it, she was hugging the poor man. " If you ever need help, Ill be here for you, Ploutonion. " It was like getting a bear hug from a tiny kitten. You knew it was trying its hardest, but at the same time you were still painfully aware of just how small and fragile it was.
Unfortunately for Eden, this also put her cheek right on naked chest, which it took her a moment to process, and she quickly let go as if the charming Britt was constructed entirely out of hot potatoes, taking a step back.

Ashanite raised an eyebrow. This tiny Knight was clearly a spitfire, but also - well, he suspected she was frankly a bit naive to the ways of the war. He doubted she had seen what he ha - and even if she had, clearly she had far more optimism at the start than he had been blessed with.
The hug legitimately startled him, and when she let go, he found himself taking half a step back. She was a whirlwind of energy and emotions - more than he felt entirely ready to deal with.
"Be well, Eden of Cosmos. And get home safely." He said, and then he vanished.
