Ochre scratched at his ear constantly, now. As he crossed the street, far from the blaring red signal in the distance, his pinky swiveled about in a sore ear canal. His hearing shuddered and swished but he didn't care. It itched and itched and itched, and festered in a way that Ochre could never quite reach, but he tried because there wasn't anything else to do.
Because if he didn't scratch, his thoughts wandered.
A latent exhaustion built up within him too, accumulating in the corners of his joints and the bottom of his thoughts and all the gyri in his brain wore smooth with such a terrible lethargy. Were it not asked of him, had he not felt a compulsion toward the streets of Destiny city, Ochre would've preferred to spend this day - and the next, and the next, and the next - sleeping. Wasting the day away. Abandoning all thought to the process of strange dreams.
Ochre paused when he reached the next street lamp and leaned against it thoughtlessly. The thick steel supported him effortlessly, forming a grounding chill at the back of his spine. Overhead, the light glared down in a flood that peeled all the stars from the sky.
Ochre thought he preferred it here. He preferred it, because the brilliance was so great that he needn't see anything else. The darkness looked thicker from here. Black overtook more of his surroundings, and all he needed to do was stand in the light.
Except a star touched the ground. A star danced and flickered and bounced through the city at the edge of his senses.
Ochre stopped scratching his ear.
xx____i wonder what they're doing out here this late
He blinked. Something else itched but he couldn't quite place it. It didn't matter; he wanted to know about the star now.
Maybe they could help.Sami-Fire let me know if i need to edit!

The star bouncing at the edge of Ochre's senses had just come down from a rooftop and was gearing up to go to another one before she felt something pull at her from a distance. Sadachbia had been patrolling on her lonesome recently; Megrez had been busy with college and other life matters, which left her without her mentor. That was fine; she figured she could handle herself, and right now it seemed like there would be an occasion for her to handle herself. A Chaos aura prickled at her from a distance away, and she was more than ready to chase the source off. The star would bound closer and closer to Ochre, and once she figured she was in earshot, Sadachbia sounded her warning shots. "What are you doing here?"

"What're you doing out here?" He fired back petulantly. "Or are corrupted senshi not allowed outside without your permission?" Sometimes he wondered if White Moon were w̷orse͏ than the Negaverse in how they treated the corrupted. Even his own kind treated him poorly.
'Kind'. As if I'm some k###\_____
Ochre flinched slightly, as if startled by a sudden motion where none existed. He raised his gazed back up to the senshi. Tan she was, with dark hair and an unusual outfit. Egyptian themed, it looked like. He couldn't guess the sphere. Did it matter? anything she had, he could duplicate. Or, at least, that is all he learned of his attacks.
"I have an energy quota, and if I don't fill it, then I get punished. Are you going to stop me? Are you going to tell me that's how people die?" His head ached in one dull, continuous motion. It lacked a heartbeat. He thought it strange, and then he thought of it no more. Like it didn't matter.
Nothing mattered, he supposed, beyond the quota. But she needed to move.

"Depends on what they're doing," Sadachbia said, her hands on her hips. She felt a phantom itch at her fingers, the "I need to hit something" kind of itch. With a drawn-out "Hmmmmm," she mulled over the Corrupt's words. "Collecting energy, business as usual. Suuuuure. I'm not gonna say that's how people die, but there sure are a lot of complications, aren't there? And what kind of Order senshi would I be if I didn't at least send you packing?" She raised both hands, preparing to catch her bricks. "First one to yield has to go mess around elsewhere... Sadachbian Building Blocks!" She caught her bricks but waited a moment to throw them. If he got close, she might be able to break them over his head. Strickenized Sorry for that whopper delay ><
