Sauron’s night in the small town had gone relatively well to be honest despite the occupant in the tent next to him snoring loudly, oddly enough when he got up in the morning the loud log sawing noises seemed to belong to a petite young dancer where he would have expected a big fat hammer wielding brute. The world never ceased to surprise him with its little quirks. He stretched, ate breakfast late as he had intended and headed out for a fresh start into the beautiful Tale countryside, it was so beautiful here it just refreshed his whole spirit. That was until he found more signs of kinfa on his walk. Did these birds just never give up on the whole pummeling naughty shifters thing? I mean really what did Sauron ever do to them he only fought yesterday because the silly birds refused to let him leave in peace. Violence didn’t have to be the answer, he should know, but when needed he could flip from peaceful moss collector to enraged spear wielding hellion. It looked like his quiet morning was going to get more exciting again. He winced, so much for a nice morning he was going to get all sweaty and disgusting again. He had just bathed this morning what a complete waste. He heard the wingbeats before he saw them coming in a phalanx of three, well three was better then six that was for sure. They were incredibly tough creatures and frequent quarrels with them was enough to make him rethink his little vacation in Tale, the question was should he go back to Jauhar or just travel off to one of the other areas. He should probably go home first but right now he would have to survive the coming skirmish, it was probably too much to hope that they were just passing by all peaceful like..like normal not blood thirsty birds. Irrational critters, he was glad he had a radaku for a mount instead he thought he would rather hate flying anyway. A big orange brute screamed at him then landed right in his face. A challenge blatantly made and accepted. “So be it.” Sauron said then gave a war cry to spring into battle with. He had survived yesterday he could survive today too darn it. The battle this time was more of a wrestling match and Sauron was strung out trying to keep the beast from pinning him and shredding him like so much meat. I am not going to be your sandwhich today! He thought since wrestling wasn’t conductive to more vocalization then squawks and grunts. He shoved and managed to push the bird back. He noticed the pink kinfa from yesterday again sneaking up on him. He should get that one for one of his daughters they would appreciate the sneakyness more than he did. He flung himself on that one hoping his weight would be enough to keep her down unfortunately she lifted him and he bailed before he got too high and became a pancake when she got tired of his weight. He groaned and coughed up some dust ick. He hated the taste of dust, this was just not his day and it had started out with such promise too. He got up and kicked that dust at the brown kinfa, it sat and batted at its eyes, one bird incapacitated and the pink one looked like she had quite enough of him, which left the big ugly orange grouch. Sauron hissed his displeasure at it and it hissed right back at him obviously territorial to the max maybe it was breeding season and Sauron had stepped in at the wrong time. It wouldn’t surprise him if that happened. They wrestled again this time the bird won and Sauron had to be a little more creative to wiggle away he had to poke the bird in the leg with his spear. It shrieked and scratched him up pretty bad in revenge. He wasn’t exactly sure how he escaped that. But when he limped back to Jauhar to heal he was glad he had. He had to wait for his wounds on his chest and abdomen to heal before he was able to take a long deserved hot bath but it was so worth it to get all the gunk off of him and out of his hair. He had thought about cutting it but he was loathe to lose his legacy it had taken so long to grow out this far.
