Necuilai paced restlessly in front of one of his stalls. He has them spaced around the festivial grounds, but, alas, no one to man them. So, they were closed and empty and it grated on his nerves that this had come to pass. Really, he should have been more prepared for this years festivial. It was important, after all.
The wears that he did have were from the Wind member of the rose clan. None of the things were stolen, he knew, but still, it made him jumpy to have so little to sell. A few dark gems from the light tribe, some fresh fish from the water tribe, which needed to sell quickly, and some other trinkets that were gleaned from other trines. Nothing major. Nothing worth keeping his stall open, really.
So, Nec paced idly, before smiling and raising his voice. Well, just because he didn't have much of anything to sell didn't mean he couldn't try to sell things he didn't have, and maybe get some help in the process.
"Come one, come all, to sample my fantastic merchandice and maybe, perchance, grab a roll in life that you have been missing." He grinned and waved at an imaginary B'alam. "You, miss, wouldn't you look amazing in this jeweled necklace from the Light Tribe, brought to you by my finest young assistant? And you, sir!" Another imaginary B'alam. "Another thing brought back from the far reaches of the Fire Tribe, by my brave, noble, fearless, wonderful, assistants!"
Neculai was beginning to wonder if he was getting his point across. He need Some dark pelted assistants to go out into the world and start collecting the things he would need for his business. Perhaps the festivial would provide him with that.Characters Involved ~Neculai ~Lilija ~Desperoux ~Hook

She hadn't gotten out much and was taking the time with all the festivities to do so. She wanted to get to know some of the others and see what else there was to offer besides the scrolls in the library. Mind you she absolutely loved her job, she just wanted to get a paws on experience on the rest of what the tribe did. She figured it was best to have a little bit of background knowledge on just about everything, or at least experience it. She had read about a lot of things in the books and scrolls but experiencing something was far more fruitful than just reading about it.
She heard a male voice loud and clear over the crowd and made her way towards the Tahtil that was selling wares. She was curious about what he had and she herself didn't have any jewelry but she wasn't one of those one's that liked flashy items but perhaps he had something that wasn't so gaudy. "Hello, I don't think we've had the chance to meet before. I'm Lilija, one of the librarians." She said softly as her wings shifted against her side slightly.

DesperouxHookIt had been done...
Well, almost.
It had been a huge relief off of the light Tahtll's chest to know that at least in part his journey had been completed. That even the idea of actually enjoying the festivities, made a little peep in the worrysome's b'alams mind. His gold eyes, look past teal strands, taking part in look about the caves with more interested. It was more then just eyeing the tan and metal paw steps of the guide b'alam ahead of him. Yellow tail shifted quietly behind the soft paced b'alam. His light sensitive eyes, couldn't see a great distance ahead of him past the glow of the bolf's lantern. Though it still was obvious, with all the noise and others he had already met; that the Dark Tribe was certainty a lot more 'bustling' then it was back home. As well as more active then the travels of a wanderer.
It had been a day full of uncertainty and adventure. What was more, was that his journey had still yet to be resolved for the official Scale collector, the chosen connoisseur of the Light tribe. He had been directed by Lord Gabriel to talk to the merchant of the tribe; a dark b'alam named, Necuilai. In hopes to further introducing light scales in trade and knowledge of their uses. The Wing b'alam, Hook had vary interested in the idea, to say the least. He had been quite kind in showing him around his tribe, and even introducing him to the main magus. Desperoux couldn't help but feel it might all done in hopes to be apart of the endeavor of scales and applying them to trade. Which, Desperoux would be more then happy to do. However, he wanted the dark tribe to be the first to have the opportunity, in regards to their colony bond. That wasn't to say, that Tah Hook wasn't of the dark tribe-as even Lord Gabriel seemed to acknowledge that he was. Though, be that as it may-Hook wasn't the lead merchant. So in respects, Desperoux would first talk to the one called 'Necuilai'.
"Thank you, for what you have done already for my tribe and myself, Hook." Came softly from Desperoux as he followed the uneven foot steps of the traveler ahead of him. It was true, if he hadn't have ran into Hook and Chronos, Desperoux was sure that he would still be wondering about in the surrounding forest. Not, that it wasn't a interesting thing to do, he did meet a new Nahtill-as emotional as an encounter it was, Desperoux had often found himself wondering how she was doing. (Though, perhaps for another time....)The Golden Tahtll, had also took the time to realize the slight change that had been happening to him on his journey. Though still vary nervous at times, he didn't feel as if he was so much timid anymore but rather meek. "It's my pleasure, lad" Hook chimed in with a smile as he took a glance over to his shoulder at the light b'alam that travel in tow. Mr. Smee had politely, just as before fallowed along side the light b'alam. Making sure to keep the lantern close so he could see within the tunnels. His light tan tail help lead the way for the brown bolf.
Traders and adventures had to stick together, after all. "I Honestly don't think I would have found my way, if you and your brother didn't find and help me when you did. " The Light b'alam added. Perhaps it was all Weaver ordained, and to think that there were actually other light tribers in the clan as well. Gabe did mention something about him having a chance to meet his mate, and friend. Marie and Zobek?
"Do you think, we might actually see my clansmen on the way to the stalls?" Desperoux found himself asking softly. Realizing at that moment he was actually quite eager at seeing more of his clansmen. Perhaps it was because, the worry of his mission wasn't as pressing and actually halfway if not almost fully being completed. He found that he had more personal things to worry about think about. Like seeing his b'alam of his own tribe. Though it made him wonder if the other light tribes of the Dark colony, had actually seen the trees of the light tribe.... "We just might. Who knows, they might even be in the market." Hook kindly responded once more over his shoulder and past the wings. His smirk giving of a faint glow in the mixture of darkness and faint light.Desperoux's ear turned about as the voice of another was heard. It sounded like a tradesman of some kind calling out to a unseen crowd....
The Light b'alam took in a slow breath as his gold eyes placed themselves on the hooded Tahtll. He was clearly, talking to someone. Looking around, Desi placed his eyes on Hook and found himself quaking a eye brow."May I introduce you to, with pleasure-Necuilai the dark tribe's lead merchant." Killian smile and offered his hook to gesture over at the dark b'alam spouting about his wears. Hook smirk and grined seemed to tease a set of paired words: 'Good luck'. Releasing a sigh, eyes turned themselves back on to the b'alam before them. Giving a nod, Desperoux stepped closer to the Merchant.
Where to start? Hook had seemed to pause as if to let him try at introducing himself this time, which...was refreshing in away, it seemed to speak a certain amount of trust in the action. Like a trust that he knew that he could do it all by himself, and just needed the encouragement.
"E-excise me?" Desperoux spoke out in a slight nervous stutter to the merchant, he gave a swallow. Eyes darted to each side, as if to make sure he was rudely interrupting another that he might be talking to? He had been talking to someone right? Hopefully he wasn't being rude....
"Weaver has given me name, Desperoux." The b'alam added, thinking that it was most likely a good idea to start with his given name. "I hail from the light tribe." The Tahtll swallowed, his paw steps took him closer to the stall. The Tahtll had travel quite far to make trade with the dark tribe, to teach about the finer uses of scales, their practicality and many uses. "I have spoken with, L-Lord Gabriel about scale uses and trade..." He started to explain his reason in visiting the merchant. He did have a reason for visiting the booth, he just hopped that he wasn't interrupting anything...
" You are Tah Necuilai, the merchant. C-correct?" Desperoux gave a nervous swallow, his tail shifted uneasily as he felt his maw go dry.
His gold eyes shifted from the merchant as if to check and see if Hook had still be present in, what seemed like a long exchange.
Weaver help him...

Nec sometimes really enjoyed talking to himself, for it amused him and it amused other, but there was nothing like talking to someone else, especially someone so pretty. Smiling broadly, he swept a bit of a boy before the librarian. "No, I don't think we have. I would rememver someone so lovely. A librarian, you say? Perhaps, in time, we shall have some books for you to examine, but alas, I am short handed at the moment. However, I will make it a priorty for my new assistants, once I have, only say the word."
Grinning again, he swept a wing back at his stall. "Or perhaps you are looking for something else, my dear? Something shiny? Or just the pleasure of meeting someone new? I am Neculai, the lead merchant, and it is my pleasure to meet you."
With a somewhat crooked smile, he watched the crowd. He was always careful, even when talking to potential clients, to keep and eye on passersby so as not to miss an oppotunity. Or a theif. His eyes fell on the Wind Tahil but flicked over to the Light Tahil after a moment, raising an eyebrow at the stutter. Most other B'alam seemed to be at ease around him, not nervous.
"Well met, Desperoux. I am Neculai, and this lovely young lady is Lilija." He indicated his current customer with a tip of his wing. "What brings you so far from home? The festivial? Or... Oh, business it is." His grinned widened. Nec loved expanding trade. It was, in fat, what he lived for. "Yes yes, I am Neculai. Call me Nec, everyone does. Or they would, if anyone called me anything." HIs eyes flicked to the Wind Tahil and back again. "I do have to say that I will not sell or accept stolen goods, not to be stereotypical, vut I would need your assurance they are not. I have a Wind Nantlil with whom I trade as well. She is in one of the Clans and does not steal." He smiled again. "Sorry for any unwanted impression, but I must be sure. Though, since you hail from the Light Tribe and are going to be trading their scales, I would find it hard to believe they were stolen." Espeically with them having spoken to Lord Gabriel already.
"PLease tell me what you have to offer and lets see if we can make a deal?"

She had to admit that she was uncomfortable, but not because of reasons one might think. She wasn't at all nervous by the Tahtll before her. She was mainly nervous about some of the glances she got every now and again. She was one of the few to have been woven a very pale color. Thus she wasn't allowed to do many duties within the tribe, but she was content with her scrolls and books not to mention she now had Yune. He was just as pale as she and she couldn't have asked for a better soul to be bonded to. She was more charismatic than him and a little bolder and it was good for him, just as his tenderness and silent ways were good for her.
She flushed slightly at his words and gave him a warm smile. "I appreciate the compliment and perhaps you'll come seek me out in the future when you do." She said with a small nod of her head. She glanced around his wares for a moment. "I am looking for something to..." She thought of the best way to put it. "wear. Do you have any decent cloaks?" She honestly wasn't ashamed of who she was. She felt undermined sometimes, but never ashamed.
She figured a cloak would suffice if he had one since it would cover her up a bit and not leave her so open to staring. If she was one who was boastful she might like it when others stared but she didn't feel that way about it so she wanted to be as un-noticeable as possible. "It is a pleasure to meet you."
Her gaze shifted as it appeared that two more Tahtlls joined the mix, one of which wasn't from their tribe. A light triber. She was fascinated. She hadn't seen any of the other factions yet so he was her first. 'Desperoux.' She'd have to remember that. She gave a gracious bow of her head to the two as she was introduced by Neculai.
"It's nice to meet you Desperoux." She watched him with pale eyes, curious about him and noticed his nervousness and her gaze fell over towards the wind Tahtll that had introduced Desperoux. He was just as fascinating to her but the scales on Desperoux were wonderful and she had read about some of them in the scrolls. "Who might you be?" She asked looking at the winged Tahtll with s curious glint in her eyes. "I'm curious to know what you both think of the festival thus far."

"Ye-yes." Desperoux started and gave a respectful nod to the Nahtlil. "nice to meet you..." He added quietly before turning his attention back to the dark Merchant.
"I have-" The Tahtll started only to stop as his guiding light hopped closer to the stall. A nervous ear turned as eyes looked to the red capped bolf...Mr. Smee's head turned and his dark brown eyes seemed to narrow at the Merchant as he spoke of his friend. "Bark!" The bolf hopped closer and growled at Neculai.
"Bad form!" Hook called out at Neculai as he speculated, that their wears might have been stolen. Taking a glance to Desperoux, Hook stepped forward and closer to the stall. How dare the Tahtll...
"I don't know what this 'stereotypical' is, but it's still calumny and slander none the less-..." Hook started and his eyes narrowed on the merchant, and searched about him as if to find a word to call the creature before him. His tail made a sharp flick. How insulting.
"'Nec.'" The word spat from his maw like a strange dirty word. Hook and paw took a step forward and looked about his so called 'wears'. How dare this b'alam claim him to be a thief and he didn't even know him! That, and say so not even thinking that he might actually be apart of the clan! His clan!
Hook was a tradesman, a more accomplished one in his mind-but that perhaps was a claim by his own arrogance, but at least it was true in his own mind.
That, and Hook had been around the land. The wind sailor knew of no other clans aside from the dwellers in the trees, and heard tale of a group of beastie off shore take took the pelt off of others. That was not to included the main colones, of course. Was this a different clan? That wasn't to say that the wind b'alam couldn't live in a tree, after all Hook did make his home in caves....as hard as it was, and uneasy it was when he heard the accented screams of two particular b'alams. Hook could swear that the screeching noise would cause a cave in.
Taking in a breath, Hook's gaze was pulled from 'Nec', as the white Nahtlil spoke. Lilija soft words pulled his ear, and a smile was replace on his maw as he gave his attention to her. Giving the Merchent a glance, a smirk twisted on his maw.
Slipping around Desperoux, Hook's attention turned back to Lilja. Straightening, he turned his hind quarters to face the other merchant. The scent of parchment, and ink was stronger the closer he was to the Nahtlil. It was a smell, that he knew vary well to belong to the library. That and she did claim to be a librarian
"I be known as Hook." Hook spoke, giving a little swagger to his head as he let his eyes look at the Nahtlil. She must be of the library, at any case it was a well placed guess. It was the only place he could gather such a scent, unless it be from one that was in there quite often to carry it on herself.
"Or Jolly, if you are feeling savvy." The b'alam smiled as he gave a little playful swish of his tail, as he did his white wing opened up slightly to reveal a small pouch at his side.
"The festivities are going quiet well, regardless of unfair speculations of my good friend." Jolly Rodger spoke with another glance over to Nec, before turning his head to look back to Lilja.
"Aside from that...." His thoughts pulled free a small glass bottle, and another. The glass bottles had been bound at the top with care, as a dark liquid swished about inside their well.
"I can tell, that you must like to decipher writing." Hook smiled and let the small bottles float over the dark Nahtlil. "In turn you must fancy ink as well, just as your Lead." The b'alam chuckled. "I have something for the both of you, Liberian."
"Here, a gift for you and the Lead." Hook offered the ink to her, a arrogant eyebrow raised giving more of a swagger to his smirk. "It's the finest of ink from the water tribe, and I assure you a -gift- given to me-" The tradesmen shot an look over his shoulder to the dark merchant. He actually got his wears to by honest trade....
"by one of the recorders themselves."
He had plans to meet with the Liberians and give him the gift but since there was a librarian there before him, he trusted that she could give the gift and he could meet up with Chronos-his brother sooner. In which he distracted himself from answering the question about the festivities...
---- "Um..." Left Desperoux as Hook stepped around him and his eyes looked back to Neculai. "Nec..." Desi started as Hook seemed to distract himself with the beautiful White nahtlil.
Gold eyes looked back to Neculai, in hopes that it was okay to talk though Hook seemed to be doing a lot of it. "I assure you, what I have in mind can't be easily done though thief." Desperoux started, not seeming to care about the comment-as yes, he did take the scales of others-but they had been discarded. So in fair-they were salvaged.
He paused, to see if the merchant was still interested or had been distracted by Hook's statements or not. Giving him a chance to respond before politely continuing on. Hook and Nec seemed to be talking about something, Poor Desperoux had no idea about or even considered.

Neculai smiled at her and made a mental note to get some books from neighboring tribes for the library. Maybe one or two as an enticement, and apology for not having anything yet. Being light pelted, he couldn't leave and go find what he needed on his own. He would have to get someone to help him. And while, making deals with other tribes would help, he needed assistants to send out, both to trade things from his tribe to others, but to get certain items. Special requests and the like. Like a cloak. Maybe from the Ice Tribe up north. He didn't have anything currently in stock.
"I am so sorry, Lilija. We don't have anything like that here at the moment, but if you can give me an idea of what you want, I can make sure to get it. Once I get some assistants to go fetch and carry for me." He smiled charmingly. "And the pleasure is entirely mine."
Nec raised an eyebrow at the bolf and smiled. "So protective. As stated, I meant no offense." He bowed his head in apology. "It is something I will have to ask anyone I am going to make a pact to trade with. And Winds from the Floating Mountains are known for their thievery. Better to be cautious than to be caught with stolen goods. I do apologize for any offense given, and it is good to know that there are at least two trusted sources, Wind and Light."
He smiled a bit, knowing that he would have to go through the same thing in some places, or his people would. Nec hoped that the Wind Tahll wouldn't take offense, truly. Perhaps he understood being cautious. He watched him give Lilija a gift and shrugged, turning back to Desperoux.
"I hope your friend carries no grudge, we are just getting things started here and I would like to get started correctly." Nec bowed his head again. "I did not truly think it was something I had to worry about with the two of your, what with your meeting Lord Gabriel already. I am glad to hear, not that scales would be easy to steal by any means. What did you have in mind for trade?"

She couldn't help but smile at the nervousness of Desperoux and then looked at the small scene that took place before her. 'oh my.' She thought to herself slightly as she watched the wing Tahtll take the merchants words to possibly imply the pair might have stolen their wares from elsewhere. She was no master in the art of trading so she wasn't entirely certain that she would have a place to say anything so she stayed quiet.
Plus, it wasn't like she had anything to trade right now. She watched as Hook finished his very vocal opinion and then turned his attention to her. It was interesting to see how quickly things could be set aside, at least for a moment or two.
"I would prefer to call you Hook, I think it's more suiting than Jolly." She said softly. "Not that Jolly isn't a good name, I guess I'm not feeling Savvy enough to call you it." She was pleased that that everything seemed to be going well for the wind balam and his friend despite the small hiccup that had happened with the merchant.
Her eyes went wide as she watched him present a bottle of ink and she took it from him and examined it with twinkling eyes. "Oh my. This is quite the gift. I'm sure the Lead will be most pleased to receive this and I must say this is quite wonderful of you." She said rather speechless about the gift. Her eyes twinkled slightly as she looked at him. "And yes, deciphering writing is something I'm very interested in and enjoy."
Her gaze turned over towards Nec and smiled. "It's alright, i'll be sure to check in now and again and see what you have available. Once you're done bartering with Desperoux here I'll be more than happy to let you know what it is I'm looking for though." She said kindly. "I think as he's not from around here he should take priority."

( Due to RL issues Darken has stepped down from her FC position and has asked that I continue with this RP. I'll try to get a response up today or tomorrow (Depending on whether or not I have wifi later today) so we can wrap this up. Keep on the look out for an FC contest in the near future! )
Within ten minutes of the exchange between wind b'alam and the Merchant a nantil appeared above the stalls. Her landing was as quiet and swift as her arrival. The other three b'alam went completely ignored as she exchanged words with the Merchant.
The conversation was brief and too soft for anyone to really overhear, even with the grand ears of a dark B'alam. The words "Trial", "honor", "Chronos" and "blood giver" had come up among the silent whispers.
Once the conversation was done the Merchant was escorted away with the nantil. The two few off once they reached a launch point and vanish into the curtain of darkness overhead. Their destination was unknown... After the Merchant and the nantil vanished another figure approached the stalls. His bright pink eyes darted from the three B'alam present while a playful grin formed on his maw. His wings ruffled than tucked to his sides following his landing.
"Ah! What a gathering we have here!" Chronos chuckled. "I do appologize, but it seemes our former merchant was needed elsewhere. Oh, but do not worry. I am sure Lord Gabriel will be looking for a replacement after the festivities. Or perhaps before? You never know. That is what keeps life so fascinating."
Chronos glanced over to the empty stalls and released a heavy sigh. It was sad to have such festivities and have no one to sell anything. Hopefully they could find a replacement soon. Trading, as he had recently discovered, was quite fun.
When his attention returned to the present company he glanced over Despereaux and Hook to meet eyes with the nantil he had never meet before. His playful grin returned to his maw.
"Greetings young miss." He tipped his head. "Apologies for interrupting your shopping. It is quite bad form to leave out introductions... my name is Chronos, lead stage mechanic for our Lord's grand theater."
The tip of his tail flicked back and forth.
"I must warn you, there may be very little going on here at the moment. It may tickle your amusement to sight see elsewhere. I would be honored to give one such as yourself a tour of my stage... or perhaps you would fancy a trip to the library? Courtyard? My sincerest apologies to this sudden change in events for you miss."

As Nec went on to say the Wind Tribes where known for their thievery, Desperoux let his gold eyes slip over to Hook uneasily. His ears laid back, as he contemplated the Merchant's claims. The Light b'alam hadn't meet any other Wind Triber, before Hook and he had done nothing to show that he was a thief, because he had feather wings. These floating mountains must have been where more b'alam that had feather wings lived. His tail lowered a little, and habitually curled around his tail as if to comfort his thoughts. Hook had been nothing by helpful, and never tried to steal his collective of scales. How could assume and say something about another, based simply by what the weaver made them to be. Gold eyes lowered as he wondered what kind of thoughts he was putting in others mind about the 'light' tribe, based on how he acted.
Sensitive eyes started to glaze over, as he thought about his shaking legs and his insecure stance. One could easily assume, he was a nervous cowardly wreak. Which-he didn't dispute that, like his Senpi did. His Senpi was everything good, and nothing like him. Yet, based on his scales and where he was from-others could and seemed to easily assume a whole of a culture based on the action one.
"He didn't steal anything-I didn't steal anything..." The b'alam squeaked as he looked up at Nec with tear filled eyes. Why, would he even need to be cautious about such a thing?
The b'alam who had been so certain quickly lost any back bone, he had as the subject carried on.
"Why do you keep saying that?" He asked, his tail curled more around his hind leg.
Was the b'alam really so bad to think that thieves would be the only ones that would want to trade goods.
Lord Gabriel, had sent them personally to the merchant, yes. That was a little reassuring, as Nec even seemed to acknowledge such a thing. Which, he did apologize about he miss assumption, which caused Desi to raise his ears just slightly. However, it still effected the insecure Tahtll. Caused him to question things and make him wonder if he was portraying his tribe in a good manner. Because if he didn't, one might think things of his tribe. A tribe he was proud to be with....a tribe that wouldn't stand to work with another that would so quickly assume that they would steal.
"I...I don't..." Started to leave the quaking b'alam. His yellow tail tightened more around his leg, so much so he felt the tip of it start to turn numb.
His Tribe wasn't a shaking, sniveling coward...like him.
"....Whant Toh do this." Desperoux stumbled unevenly from his maw, whiskers tingled as he felt wetness from his eyes slip over the dirty gold scales that rested under his eyes. His horn dropped with his head. The dim glow only seemed to brighten.
Did that come out right?
"IDon'tWantToDoThis!" He stated more firmly in a sob. Quickly turning himself, tail puffed. Tucking his head, a still lower body shuffled away rather quickly. Stopping abruptly his head popped up as he looked around in a panicked dart. Wait-where was he going? He could barely see in the dark. Eyes darted around in a nervous panic as he felt his chest heave with the thunder of his pounding heart.
It wasn't so much what the merchant meant, but rather what he had said that caused Desperoux's thoughts to burn like a wild fire though his mind. Which caused him to panic and in his nervousness he reacted....anxiously. Perhaps if it had been anyone else, such a thing would have been brushed off easily and business could be carried on as normal. After all, the comment of thievery was made toward the Wind tribe. Who, apparently stole things...
And such a thing was addressed by Hook and the Merchant did apologize. However, Desperoux's own insecurities and anxious thoughts cascaded and personalized the message to refect on him. Which only showed him that deep inside, he truely didn't think he represented his tribe as well as he thought they should be.
Why did his magus, believe in him-when he could see the same in himself...or have the strength to even try to be what his leader believed him to be.
This all just seemed so impossible to him, he had felt so confident after speaking with the Dark magus. The Dark Magus even seemed to receive him well. Yet, here he was scales raised and barbed, tail puffed-bumbling about in a panic trying to find away out in the caves and into light.
His mind was so deeply ensnared in panic, he didn't notice the large magus Chronos making an appearance, or that the merchant was escorted away.
---- Hook turned his ear, as the Nec spoke about Mr. Smee's protective nature.
"Aye, that is what a first Mate is, swabbie" Hook spoke turning his head over his shoulder and his white wings. The second bottle of Ink still floated in the air waiting for the Nahtlil to claim as well as the first.
"Then 'Hook' should be just fine, love." The B'alam grinned and offered a wink to the Nahtlil as he returned his attention back to her. It was obvious to say that Hook's attention would always be grabbed by a Nahtlil and subject could be changed as easily as the turning of a page. His tail shifted about, once more not knowing if the other Nahlil had a Yoliliztli or not. It was that vary thing that caused him to loose a limb before...
"You are welcome to it, I had plans to stop by but it seems convenience had better ones..." Hook gave a grin, before his ear was taken once more over the merchant.
His eyes couldn't help but roll as Nec spoke of the Wind Tribe where Known for their thievery. 'No offense' then cruelty tugged at his ear...Funny word that...
"Oh, be fair." He called, breaking from the conversation with the Lilija he turned back to the Dark Merchant. "It's called 'harvesting'. If you are going to make such outlandish claims at least do it right." Hook spoke narrowing his eyes on Nec, before his attention was turn to the Light triber that seemed to only shrink more. His tail lowered a little bit, it was like watching two wind b'alam about to collide in the air. It happened all too quickly, and it was so bazaar one didn't know what to say right away.
His mouth only gaped a little as Deperoux squeaked, and then in a instant turned off.
"That's some apology, mate...." Hook spoke in a flat tone as he shook his head ever so slightly. Releasing a sigh, Hook turned himself.
"Oy, Lad-"
Mr. Squeek hopped after Desperoux, wanting to keep near him with the light-just as Hook instructed him to be.
Hook and tan paws made a jog over to Desperoux, in hopes to try and calm him down.

She was at all certain how she felt as she watched the scene before her unfold. She did think that how the merchant had handled things had been rather brash and her thoughts about it vanished as a second bottle of ink floated in her direction and she took it gratefully. She couldn't wait to show Yune and give the other bottle to the Lead. "I cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful gift..." She said as she secured it safely in a place it wouldn't easily break.
She watched then as a Nantil and a Tahtll she hadn't met before appeared, the Nantil stealing the merchant away quickly and then Desi broke down and wandered away. She was going to follow the pair of Tahtlls as Hook went to go calm him down but her attention was stolen as Chronos spoke to her. "Greetings." She said giving him a warm smile as she looked up slightly at him. She suddenly felt small.
"Oh, no worries, I wasn't really shopping anyways. More like browsing...." Her gaze danced over towards Desi and Hook and she frowned slightly. She hoped that he would be okay. She'd probably feel just as bad if someone where to accuse her of possible thievery or even mention the notion she would ever do such a thing. Her gaze flicked back to Chronos though. "It's a pleasure to meet you Chronos, my name is Lilija one of the Librarians of our Lords Beautiful Library." She said with a grin.
She listened as he spoke and her tail flicked wildly in excitement as he offered to give her a tour of the stage, library or courtyard. "Well, I'm quite familiar with the Library already but the Courtyard or the Stage sound marvelous to me!" She said looking at him and then glancing over towards the two she had just met. "And you needn't apologize for the change of events...." Her voice faded for a moment and then she looked back at him. "I would like to make sure that he is alright. I don't blame him for being upset..." She wasn't going to go into details about it but she did want to make sure Desi was alright before heading off.

Chronos watched Desi flee from the stalls with Hook following after. It was good he didn't have to say anything. Still... a sigh left him with his next exhale. Desperoux needed a good rest.
"Lilija, ah, a splendid name indeed. And among one of our great librarians, surely the pleasure is mine, my dear."
He lowered his head in a bow. The grin was quick to return to his maw.
"Unfortunately I must attend to our kind light ambassador. Please understand, it would be a shame for him to continue on is such a state of mind... I would humbly recommend that you enjoy the festivities at the courtyard. Our Lord himself is there for the night."
Chronos glanced back to where Desi had run off. Really the poor lad...
"Do not worry about him. My bloodgiver is quick and has quite the silver tongue. We will have our friend back in high spirits in no time." AstoriaFallen Same here. I was sorry to hear she was having RL problems and couldn't RP anymore. I wish the best for her. Maybe if life calms down she can return to gaia. <:

Desperoux's ear turned back as he heard Hook call for him? Well, in a way that he had used to talk to him before. Yet, it was no use. The Light b'alam's front paw raised as he quickly looked around for somewhere to hide, then his yellow gaze caught sight of a crack in the drapes of a stall's undercarriage.
There!
In a instance the light b'alam darted for sanctuary, his smaller body easily fit underneath he nearest stall.
Mr. Smee fallowed after him in a back. The Lantern dangled at his maw, leading the way to the panicked b'alam. Giving light to his hiding spot.
Paws covered his maw, but left what little comforting light Mr Smee illuminated from his carried lantern. Whimpers left the cowering b'alam. Why did he think he could do this, Senpi Sir was going to be so disappointed in him. He failed, and broke any tie with forming trade with their Sister tribe....
His tribe was going to go bankrupt because of him! The thought caused a meowed wail to leave the hidden Tahtll.--- "Lad-" Hook called, as he watched the b'alam make a hard right and dart underneath a nearby stall. "-Desperoux..." The Wind b'alam gave a try at his full name, it rolled strangely on his accented tongue as he fumbled the word slightly.
Luckily, Mr. Smee was polite enough to fallow the light dweller with the lantern. Weaver forbid, if Desi was completely cloaked in darkness.
Making his way to the stall curtain, Hook lowered his body and peaked his maw under the drape. His ears pinned back as the strange noise erupted loudly from Desi. What a strange, ear spliting sound.
"Easy-lad. Easy!" Left Hook as his eyes pinched closed. His hind hunches remained raised and outside the stall, his tail puffed slightly and shot up into the air.
"By the weaver, come about lad." Jolly breathed out, and slightly pleaded.

She smiled when he said her name was splendid. She thought it was nice of him to say. She listened as he said that he was going to go tend to the light ambassador and this made her frown but smile all the same. She was frowning because Desi was in distress but she had smiled because Chronos had volunteered as well to help the poor lad out. She was happy to hear that they were willing to help those in need around here.
"I do understand completely. I will make sure to go and check out the courtyard then. Perhaps you shall make it there later to give me a tour?" She said with a smile. She cocked her head slightly and looked towards hook and back to Chronos. Ah, so Hook was his bloodgiver. Hmmm. "I'm sure Hook will have him on his feet again as well."
She gave him a small bow of her head. "It was a pleasure to meet you Chronos. Perhaps we shall meet again later." She gave him a warm smile and then turned and headed off towards the courtyard.

"The pleasure was all mine my dear. Do enjoy yourself." Chronos returned the smile and watched as Lilija made her way toward the courtyard. No doubt there was some fun to be had there...
Now to attend to another issue. The poor scale collector. With a deep breath and an ongoing smile Chronos hurried off in a slight trot after his sworn brother and the fascinating scale collector.
