The activity in herbalism today was gourd carving! Leif was very excited about it. Corben - his dad - had asked them all to team up into pairs to work on a gourd, but he didn't really know anyone yet. As he watched all of the other freshlings pair up, he tried to see if anyone else was without a buddy... After a few moments of searching, he finally spotted another kid - what was their name? he couldn't remember... Ah well. He slid out of his chair and crept over to the other freshling, tail wrapped around one arm to make sure it wouldn't get stepped on by the others who were gathering their gourds.
"U-um, hello... I'm Leif... do you want to be partners...?" Oh, he hoped this kid wouldn't turn him down...
