Empathy is an important emotion when it comes to understanding the people around you, but for Ferris empathy is a double edge blade that she wishes to avoid for peace of mind. In small doses and with people she trusts connecting with someone on an emotional level can be enjoyable and deep, but otherwise causes a hindrance in the quality of her life. This is because empathy can lead to other's emotions being confused with her own, and in worse case scenarios cause migraines from the emotional energy people carry one their person or leave in certain areas or objects. For this reason alone Ferris secludes herself to a minimalist life in the forest as to avoid becoming emotionally frayed.

> Reclusive

Two sides of the same coin. Living as a hermit can be rewarding in it's own right, but after a while can become tiresome and lonely loosing much of it's luster after so many months of reclusion. Because of this Ferris takes long trips into town to trade their clothing, materials, and on occasion offer their divination services in exchange for the necessities they could otherwise not procure in the wild on their own. This also gives them the chance to find muse and inspiration from outside sources and scratch their social itch before heading back their deep wood abode.
