i have had my period for a couple of years now but i still cant get on a tampon, i have tried with different kinds and sizes bur i cant what can i be doing wrong???

Try the slim fits Tampax Pearl. Those are plastic applicators really great used those first few times. Still prefer those to cardboard just upped sizes heh. sweatdrop But anyway, go read the puberty sticky in this subforum. It's really helpful and should answer some of your questions. What helped me when I first started was to squat and relax. Just ease it in. Don't teanse up b/c it's harder for it to go in. It takes practice, but after a while it's a good think esp. in summer when you want to go swimming. I like pads the best though.

I reccommend o.b. tampons. I started using them when I was 12-13 and have not stopped using them since.
They are smaller than regular tampons and they absorb better. Also, there is no applicator so you have a bit more control when you put them in.
Remember to relax. Try practicing with a few if you know you're going to be nervous. Lying down on a bed might help...
