What day was it again? He’d completely forgotten. Everyday consisted of mostly the same routine, so the different days of the week often ran together in his head. Well, regardless of the day Wilson still had work to do, so once he found some free time he could properly look at his phone to actually look up the date.
But the day would never start off on the right foot without a cup of coffee in the morning (at this point, it was the afternoon, oops.) It wasn’t as if the caffeine worked a drop of magic on Wilson with his natural immunity, but the hot sensation and bitter taste was still comforting, and offered a placebo effect regardless. You just had to love science.
Today, the death hunter looked even more out of it than usual when he noticed someone walking around in casual clothes and looking rather, well, lost.
He stopped, took a slow sip from his coffee as he watched the woman while contemplating his life choices. “…can I help you?” he asked reluctantly.

Mercy had been wandering for about an hour after she woke up, looking around to see what she had to do next or if she was doomed to wander for the rest of her days. She needed a new change of clothes, cause being in a pod for however long she was in there without a change of clothing was just disgusting... The tiny hunter nearly jumpped out of her skin when she heard the monotone voice of another person. Probably male. "Uhhhh yes! I do actually...You offering?" She could tell he was a bit reluctant to ask so she didnt want to keep him from doing something important or whatever...
Why were all the people she's met so far so...What? angry? Bitter? or in this guys case, just sounded like they wanted to just go belly up?

He’d certainly wanted to die a handful of times throughout his hunter career, but out of sheer guilt and perhaps a dash of masochism, continued to live on as an empty husk. Because empty husks were so good at faking stability, Wilson offered Mercy a casual, albeit tired, smile that actually appeared normal excluding the exhaustion.
“Would I be asking if I wouldn’t?” A simple question, one with an obvious answer for a majority of the population. Even the hunter population. He just drank more coffee as he waited for the woman’s inquiry.

Well, he had a point there didn't he? Mercy simply smiled and nodded, walking towards the man. "I just woke up and had the misfortune of meeting an a** hole back there by the name of Finn. So please tell me you're going to be civil at least? I hate it when I have to loose my temper..." It made her a terrible person in her opinion and she was prone to throwing fists. This guy seemed nice enough so maybe there would be no need for fists or spit for that matter.

“I don’t see any point in being mean to people unless they’ve done something bad, so,” he replied before drinking his coffee again. Wilson eye’s squinted slightly, as if he was trying to get a closer look at this newbie trainee. “So, if you have something you want to ask, better do it now before I’m on my merry way.” As merry as a depressed man could be, anyways.

Oh good...Mercy squinted back at the man before her who by the way, wasnt that much taller than her. Weird..."Erm...I really just need to be shown where to go after this? That other guy wasnt much help. What do I call you by the way? I mean if you's rather me call you squinty, then I can do that, but I know most people prefeer to be called by name." She tilted her head with a smile at the cool man before her. Were those bags under his eyes? Maybe she should call him raccoon man? She cleared her throat and waited a bit, "You can call me Mercy. Not sure if I have any other nicknames I would care to be called." She shrugged. Maybe she could earn some new nicknames in this place?
Im sure b***h is going to be the first one if I have any inklings about it.
Really, she was kind of a nice person, its just people always rub her the wrong way.

As a man who'd inherited most of his looks from his Chinese mother instead of his English father (an unusual thing, really, since it was usually the opposite in these types of situations) Wilson was caught between the desire to squint more or not at all. At least he was blessed with a passive personality so he wouldn't make any potentially-nasty quips. Instead he answered briefly, "Wilson is fine."
"And if you just woke up, then you'll want to head over to the weapons cove to get your weapon."
An awkward pause. He sipped his coffee. "Anything else?"Viva Viola wilson forever squints at mercy

"Willson it is then! Ermmmnnn...Not to sound like a baby but...Could you walk me there? I dont even know what the weapons cove is or wich direction if could be...So just telling me like I would automatically know doesnt help." Okay so a bit sassy, but she was starting to get irritated slightly. What was the point of being in this facility if no one was willing to come and help her around? Geezus.

At first, Wilson blankly looked at Mercy as he held onto his coffee. Was this for real? If this girl was sorted into the death division she was surely going to die, either figuratively or literally. "You woke up in a room full of pods, right? That's where everyone starts, so they put a map there." He took one hand off his cup to make a vague gesture, pointing a finger on an invisible sign. "It was on the door. Red arrow?" Well, obviously this stranger had walked past it, otherwise she wouldn't be asking him for direction.
"You passed it on your way here." Wilson started pointing behind Mercy. "Just backtrack a bit. It's going to be a staircase."Viva Viola senpai is unfortunately not impressed

The blank stare she got made her look away with embarassment. Why was he looking at her that way? She simply asked tobe shown where the weapon room was! How come the people around here were so unhelpful? She narrowed her eyes in annoyance, about to give the poor man what for when he pointed out that the instructions shouldve been on the door on her way out. Well that explains the funny look, she shouldve been paying better attention...Mercy sighed and looked back the way she came. That means she would have to go face that Finn a*****e again...
She really didnt want to do that.
"Could you please come with me just this once? I was woken up by a really douchy a*****e and would prefer to avoid having to talk to him at all costs? Damn right she should be embarrassed. How can a person blatantly walk past a bright red arrow? But some things were not meant to be known, so Wilson would continue to say nothing about it. He would just throw her blank looks that were occasional judging, or perhaps judging deep down inside. Whichever one Mercy preferred.
Just like this empty gaze Wilson was giving Mercy as he raised his cup to his mouth. It wasn’t like she had to talk to the other hunter. She only needed to take a few moments to stare at the map, but fine. She probably wasn’t going to stop bothering him anyways. He was still drinking his coffee when he walked past her and gestured for the woman to follow him.

A person that was just too angry to notice things could walk past a bright red arrow thank you. Mercy could feel the judgement from a mile away, which instead of annoying her, it just made her squint while she tried to hide her shame. He kind of reminded her of the silent yet stern senesi type from anime, which she was sure he propbably wouldnt appriciate if she started calling him that. Besides that might seem racist right?
Mercy continued to stare at the back of Wilson while she followed him.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight?
