Lumi had been thinking about having children for a long time. Of course, part of her had thought she'd wait until there was another special someone in her life to do so. To say that she was picky about the people in her life that could be considered for a romantic relationship would be an understatement. She knew she was a bit of a handful to deal with in the dating department, so maybe it would be better to give child raising a shot without the help of another Nightmare?
She was a cache nightmare herself, so she didn't have family to rely on to help. However, she didn't think the fact that she didn't have parents would hinder her ability to love and care for another child. She wanted so badly to pass on her own ambitions to another young life. Having a child around her home would make her feel more whole. Even without another person in her life, she could help to imbue a soulstone. There were often cases where individuals wanted to pass on their genes, but didn't necessarily want to raise children themselves.

The day finally came when she made her plans. She had done the research she needed to figure out how to receive a partially imbued stone. She had read books about imbuing a stone and how to prepare your home for a child. She'd bought books, toys, clothes, and the other essentials that one needed to have a baby. Now she just had to go and get a stone, she wouldn't allow herself to back out of this down as she boldly walked down the street. She was going to be a mother! This was super exciting. And a little bit scary.
