Sascha almost couldn't believe that he'd reached this point in his life already. It only seemed like yesterday that he was a freshling just enrolling in academy and taking his first lessons, but now he was a full fledged adult. The idea seemed surreal, honestly, and made his heart thump harshly against his chest. His days in academy were over...

And Dahlia and Laviticus' were just beginning.

The Geist found himself turning away from his desk and wandering out toward the living room. It was more of a gathering area, really, than anything fancy, but it did well for when he had company. However, now it was filled with boxes and cards from friends he'd made over the years, all of which wished him and his family well on their future together. He smiled and touched the edge of one of them before placing it into one of the boxes and turning toward the window.

It was time to move on, wasn't it? He was no longer a child, and he had two babies to look after. Sure, they'd be going to the academy just as he had done and they wouldn't be moving too far, but... It was still hard to imagine being anywhere else but here. All his friends, all his teachers... He was leaving home and setting off on a brand new adventure. A tough transition for anyone, he was sure, but he could handle it. He'd seen others get jobs and do just as well as someone who'd gone onto university, if not even better. His smile broadened at the thought. Yeah... He had nothing to worry about.

He moved toward the boxes again and paused, the sound of Dahlia's voice outside the front door catching his attention. Oh, were classes done already? It felt like he'd just said goodbye no less than an hour ago! He shook his head and laughed. Time really did fly by when you were an adult, didn't it?
