Camelot was standing on the roof of his library, looking out over the city with a fond, distant expression on his face. He had just finished up sending out a missive to the members of his team, calling on anyone who might be interested in coming to his Wonder that night to train and learn.
Quote:
Knights of Destiny:
I am holding a small training session at my Wonder tonight, if anyone would be interested in attending! I am more than willing to answer any questions or engage in any discussions you might like, and of course, we will be doing some battle drills and mock fights depending on how many people come. There might also be a dragon or two. Please arrive between the 8pm and 9pm hour, as we will be setting out at 9 sharp!
-Camelot
Beside him, Merlinite sat thoughtfully, perched like a gargoyle on the railing of the roof, tail swinging behind him. The half dragon was not sure if he was going to go with them to this training thing, but at the very least he could meet the team he was considering joining.
He was not technically a knight, but he had wanted to be before he got corrupted this far. That counted, right? Camelot seemed to think so, but maybe the other knights would not.
Camelot glanced at him, noting how nervous he seemed. There was no need to comment on it, as it was perfectly understandable, but they would just have to face any bumps in the road as they came up. It would be a learning process for everyone but, thankfully and unironically, that was sort of the point.
It was the Royal Knight's goal to help the member of his team and to build a little more of a connection between them all. He wanted them to be able to rely on each other, even if they did not patrol as a unit all the time. This was all about trust.
And sometimes, that was a lot to ask for.

She had just been told about Camelot's team earlier that morning and she wasn't expecting to hear back about it so quickly. Though that's not at all to say she was disappointed when she got Camelot's invite for a training session at Camelot. In fact she was elated.
She decided to cut her patrol short for the night and make her way to library. Which is where she figured he'd be waiting. It didn't take long for his royal aura to confirm her theory. However she felt another aura that gave her pause. A half youma.
She had a thought on who it might be. Merlinite? I hope so, it'd be good if he has Camelot to help him. She thought as she climbed up the fire escape. Once on the roof her theory was confirmed, there was the half dragon man. Although she was sad to see he hadn't found a way to purify yet she was glad that he was ok.
"Bonsoir Camelot and Merlinite. It's a pleasure to see you again. I'm glad you're safe. I'm not too early for the training session right?" She asked as she noticed that she was the first one there beside the royal knight and half youma, though she wasn't sure who all was coming to begin with.
Esquiline had ignored messages from the Knights of Destiny, despite being interested in joining them so long ago. She didn't feel like this whole powering up thing was going to affect her life as much as it already had; but the latest visit to her Wonder and the discovery of her ancestor's grave site had shaken her greatly. She felt she needed to comfort of others who shared her fate, and so when the message arrived, she didn't disregard it immediately as per the usual.
She left her apartment, powered up, and sought the location of the meet up. A chance to tell someone about what she found, to make sense of it.
She could use that.

Corey hadn't even really been planning on going out this evening. He'd been planted into his favorite arm chair, already halfway through a bag of chips. He'd been in the middle of trying to take out some a-hole sniper that'd been tucked away for the entire game when the note suddenly appeared in front of him, startling him enough to almost drop the remote as he snatched the letter out of the air.
The signel was familiar, and the particular invitation as well given the fact he'd practically begged to be a part of it. He played the last couple minutes of the round out of politeness, but as soon as the game ended he was chucking his stuff aside and powering up.
The library was a familiar sight, as was the aura of the Royal Knight who awaited on the roof. A small smattering of other auras also accompanied him, one young knight quite familiar to him and another that made the squire pause.
He'd never felt an aura like this one. Nor seen a half youma - every encounter in fact that he'd ever had with Chaos in all of its forms (negaverse, youma, DMC, magical space creatures) had been absolutely terrible. They'd never offered him any mercy despite his many attempts to simply talk. And yet the dragon remained stilled, both Camelot and Hyperborea lacking in aggression towards it as well.
"Hey guys" He called out tentatively, though he lingered near the edge of the rooftop cautiously.
Glitnir had not been expecting a note from Camelot, though after his encounter with his Shadow, he had considered seeking the Royal Knight out. The note had mentioned something about Knights of Destiny and a training session at Camelot's Wonder; Glitnir was certainly interested, even with his general glum state. It'd be a chance to meet other Knights and gather some information that hopefully he'd actually use this time.
He arrived a little later than the others did; he didn't know the Venus Knight or the male Cosmos Knight, but Hyperborea was a familiar face. He gave her a wave as he passed by, going right up to Camelot. It might have seemed unusually distant for him, and when it came down to it, it was. "Hey, Camelot," he said. "Right place, right time, right? If we get a moment during practice, there's something I'd like to talk to you about."
Then he spotted Merlinite. Oh, so that's where that unsettled feeling was coming from. "And... I guess he's the dragon you mentioned?" Glitnir knew better than to let the outward Chaos aura bait him into going on the offense; there were Negaverse agents who posed minimal threat to Order. Most likely, this dragon-man was one of them. The poor fellow seemed to have it particularly bad, what with those dragon parts...

Let me know if the handwave is okay! If not, I'll fix it.

Esquiline shivered when others started showing up. She didn't recognize anyone besides Camelot, which really, she should have known. She didn't exactly spend much of her time wandering about talking to people.
"Umm, hello." she squeaked out, waving nervously. She stepped a little closer to Camelot, taking comfort in his vacinity
Hyperborea had taken a seat on the edge of the roof while she waited for everyone else to arrive. It didn't take long for more people to show up. The first had been a page who she didn't recognize. She also wasn't sure what order she belonged to, she didn't recognize her aura or her uniform colors which made her currious which planet she was sworn to.
The second arrival was a familiar face. Hyperborea smiled at her fellow cosmos squire. It had been a while since she ran into Bimini and she was glad to see he was doing ok. It seemed like he was weary of Merlinite. Hyperborea considered speaking up to vouch for the half-youma but ultimately decided if it was an issue Camelot would handle it, this was his show not hers.
Then another familiar squire showed up. It had been even longer since she had seen the mars squire. A part of her felt awkward since the last time she had seen him was at Ploutonion's corruption, it brought bad bad memories, memories of her failure. "Bonsoir Bimini and Glitnir. It's nice to see you both again." She said with a friendly smile.
She looked to the unknown page. "I don't believe we've met. I'm Hyperborea of Cosmos." She said getting up and offering a hand to the older woman.

Esquiline watched the gilded knight come up to her, equal parts nervous and hopeful. With just a little bit of envy thrown in. Her dress was so lovely! She also seemed to know more people than she did.
She took the girl's hand, shaking it. "Nice to meet you. I'm Esquiline of Venus." Her title still sounded odd in her mouth, like it didn't quite fit right.
To say Mimisbrunnr had been negligent in her Knightly duties was an understatement. But she was around enough to receive Camelot's message, and to be interested and follow up on it. So the Squire of Mercury made her way to the roof of the library.
The presence of a General's aura made her tense, but there were so many Knights and only one of him -- surely he wasn't there as an enemy. And if he was, he had chosen the wrong party to crash.
When she arrived, her eyes fell on the stranger next to Camelot - truly strange, with his scales and wing, but clearly also not a threat. She gave the Royal Knight a wave, and then spotted another familiar face.
"Hyperborea!" She had last seen the Page at her Awakening, and to see her now a Squire, still alive and uncorrupted, warmed the older woman's heart.

"Mimisbrunnr!" Hyperborea echoed as she rushed over and threw her arms around the mercury squire. "It's been too long. I'm glad to see you again." Sure she had only meet her once before but the mercury squire had been so nice and had been her introduction into the powered world.
In a way seeing her was a reminder of when the world seemed bright, when it didn't seem unfair and cruel. A happier time.
Earth, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Cosmos. There was something inherently awe inspiring about seeing the ever growing collection of knights, almost all from different homes. Even without knowing each other they shared the bond of knighthood and of their home on earth as well. Bimini might have looked a little overly excited as he watched most of the strangers gather around.
One of the few he knew, Hyperborea, seemed to know most of them, which didn't surprise him. His little Cosmos 'sister' had seemed like quite the go getter and like someone that would be out and about making friends and getting into trouble.
In the end his gregarious nature got the best of him and instead of turning to any one person in particular he just stepped forward, introducing himself to everyone and anyone. After all he'd already heard the names of almost everyone anyway. "Bimini, nice to meet you all."
"I'm excited to fight with you all, to the death." It was extremely obvious that he wasn't serious, the goofiest of grins residing on his face even as he spoke. Not to mention the extremely unassuming pile of robes and sashes he was buried in. Bimini was like an open book and the title was quite clearly 'Pushover'.
Wasn't sure who to quote, but I can refrain from quoting people if it bugs them. Just lemme know XD

( Sorry for the long wait. )
Camelot let the group gather, watching them as they chattered, nodding his head and greeting those that approached him. He let Merlinite sit and wait safely at his side, though no one seemed to want to dust him on sight, which was at least a positive step. Camelot had done what he could to introduce the idea of him to others, at least, and Merlinite had managed to meet a couple of these knights on his own.
He did not feel like part of the group just yet, but at least he was not immediately an enemy.
Camelot cleared his throat and lifted his hand to get the attention of the little group, before he spoke up.
"Well, I am glad to see you guys here, and that my message went through alright. How about we hop right to it, and get over to my wonder? If you would not mind, gathering in a circle here, and taking hands with one another?" He held out his hand, Hype being closest and smiling at her reassuringly. The other side was taken by Merlinite, who held his clawed hand out to whoever wanted to take it next.
If anyone would.
Camelot waited for them to make a little chain of knights before he took them all to his Wonder. The trip to Camelot was draining for him, taking so many with him, but they still managed to appear in a vast, green field. There was a light breeze in the air and, in the near distance atop a rolling hill, stood an old, damaged, but beautiful castle.
This was the ancient realm of Camelot, home of legends and heroes.
Taking a breath, Camelot opened his eyes and looked around at his team, taking a step back and calling his shield to his arm. The solid metal weapon was massive, nearly the same height as the wielder, emblazoned with a red dragon with its wings curled toward the sky, a crystalline green eye glimmering against the steel.
"So. I've gathered you all here so we might be able to train and practice, and learn about things that might be troubling you. If you have any weak points, any areas of combat or defense you are unsure about, or questions that need answering, I'm hoping this is the place to address them."
Hyperborea took Camelot's offered hand and returned his smile. It always felt so reassuring to be with him, like she could borrow some of his power. She held out her hand for the next person to take and waited for the circle to form.
Once they appeared in beautiful green fields of Camelot, Hyperborea felt her breath leave her body. It was still just as beautiful as the first time she had visited. She loved her city more than any other place but this castle was truly wonderful as well.
She nodded when Camelot began to speak, after he was finished she walked over to Merlinite. This was a great opportunity, the chance to train with a general. Maybe she could develop some sort of counter to their teleportation or at the very least get used to fighting against in.
"Merlinite would you do me the honor of training with me. I'd like to practice against someone with the ability to teleport." She asked the half dragon in a polite but friendly tone.
