She wasn’t too happy right now. Talking to Order senshi felt really off and made her irritable for a reason she couldn’t exactly place. She didn’t want to hurt others without reason, but there were whispers in her mind telling her the soldiers clad in white were absolutely no good. So she was following that whispering, trying to ease it, quiet the dull roar. Whispers could be really loud.
It wasn’t quite dark. The oranges and pinks in the evening sky were still very much there, stars just kissing the fall sky as the evening chill set in. The dark mirror senshi worked her jaw as she looked for more of her own kind out tonight. She hadn’t met many, but she knew they were there. Her mission was to try to make friends. Maybe even gather some intelligence from them. The neon signs of tattoo parlors and corner stores glared harshly in the quickly darkening area and cast a ghastly glow upon her pale skin.
So far nothing was happening. Machholz couldn’t sense any Order or Chaos aligned energies and that put a pit in her stomach. Lace encased arms grasped each other at the elbows as she crossed her arms just under her chest and frowned.
“How odd,” she whispered to herself. At least if there was an energy around, it wasn’t strong. “Maybe I need to train with Erythrite..” Her voice carried on, almost echoing as she jumped to the top of an abandoned building next to a seedy little bar. She landed on one foot with a slight click of heels on the shingled roof.
Where should she go from here?

Powering up felt weird. Being Eros, super powered heroine for love and justice and junk, felt weird, when you are used to being Sid, mongrel mutt with an ear for music and a terrible habit. She wasn’t even entirely sure she knew what she was doing, and it had been at least a few weeks since that trippy event in the subway that had landed her in this situation.
Granted… it was kinda cool, being able to run really fast and jump really high. She’d freaked out the first time she did it, making it to the top of a two story building in one go. She’d been sure she’d break her legs on landing, though sadly after having already jumped. Travel time was significantly shortened to a third of what it would have been, had she run on her small, normal feet. Her testing and trying out had taken her clear across town before she’d even realized it, stumbling to a halt on top of a bookstore that spilled warm gold light onto the sidewalk below.
Still early, by Eros’s reckoning. The clubs wouldn’t be revving up for another hour or two yet, which gave her plenty of time to fool around some more and head back to get dressed up to go out and party on her night off. Even when she wasn’t DJing, it seemed she always found herself in a club, enjoying the music that danced through her soul and the people who’s hands danced on her skin. Idly, she pondered what she felt like tonight as she jumped up onto the ledge and walked along it, testing her balance.
Would falling to the ground even hurt, from here? Would I bruise, let alone break anything?
Somewhere in the back of her mind, Eros knew there must be a reason she had been given this power, but for the most part, it was pleasant to ignore that nagging voice. No one said she had to do anything with it. You’d think, if she was, there would have been training or a guidebook or a mentor or something… not just getting a pen chucked at you in the middle of a trip to hell and back. Until someone saw fit to explain things, well… she figured she might as well enjoy what she could do.
Gathering herself, Eros took a few running steps and jumped to the next building, stumbling on her landing as she went further than she had been expecting.

The building Eros happened to jump on was the one Machholz was standing on trying to decide where to go. She’d felt the Order energy for a little bit now and had hesitated leaving. It felt like it was a weak energy signature. Probably a basic page or senshi. It wasn’t on par with hers yet.
You can have fun tonight.
The thought made her laugh as she watched a very vibrantly colored senshi land near her. With a tilt of her black lips she gave a grin. Her black boot tapped almost impatiently as she waited for the girl to somehow gather herself and then cleared her throat. A sudden breeze washed over the pair, causing her hair, overlay, and skirt to blow with it and made her shiver.
“You shouldn’t be out all alone, senshi.”
That was all the warning she’d give her. With practiced movements, (because she had been practicing in her downtime with defense classes that also taught you to attack) she rushed the other senshi and aimed a quick punch for the girl’s side.

Eros straightened up with an offended motion, brushing her hands against her hips as though dusting them. Okay, maybe time to work on the landing part, before I pitch myself into a wall or over the edge of the roof. She had never been particularly athletic, but dancing for fun gave her a small measure of grace and body awareness. She needed to work on that, it would undoubtedly be handy.
A creeping unease touched her and Eros shifted nervously, unsure just what was causing the feeling. Something was wrong, but there wasn't anything obvious to hand... At least until the voice spoke out of the darkness to make her jump.
"Jesus ********!" Eros gasped out as she spun, arms swinging. There wasn't time for much else as the chill wind ruffled her hair and black boots grated on rooftop gravel. The girl, or whatever this was, rushed her and without any sort of provocation, hit her hard.
Eros gave a wheezing yelp as a fist punched her and she was knocked to the side with the force of it. She crumpled to a knee, arms wrapped around her middle as she gulped in air that had rushed out with the impact.
"JESUS CHRIST, what is your PROBLEM?" The small woman gasped out, scooting away on hand and knees as she stared at the stranger in anger mixed with fear.
s**t... Was this one of those Negaverse people Puck had told her about? s**t s**t s**t.

This senshi was quick, but apparently not quick enough. Her leg landed and she smirked hard and watched the woman stumble and gasp on hands and knees, gold eyes locked onto her target. Beautiful. Watching the struggle was always so fun for her for some reason. Machholz popped her fingers with her thumb on her right hand as the girl spat the question out her with fearful venom.
"Oh, poor, sweet baby. You're new, aren't you?" She cooed in a condescending way and then laughed, bringing fingers to her lips. "I suppose I can spare a moment or two to talk... I'm Machholz, Dark Mirror Senshi of Poison. You, little senshi in white, are the enemy of someone very dear to me. I have to protect her from your kind, you see." The way she spoke was low but very clear, trying to lace every word with an unspoken promise of pain or suffering. "Now, I realize you probably don't know her personally, but you are clad in white, which means it's only a matter of time before you get to her. If I eliminate you now... Well, she has a chance to thrive without many more scars."
Erythrite's beautiful face was already scared a bit. Poor girl. Nevermind Machholz's own scars. She could get cut and broken as long as it saved Erythrite from pain.
"Why don't you tell me who you are." Not a question, more of a demand as she slowly started to circle the other girl.

The rainbow senshi scooted back further as the girl began to circle, her pink eyes wide. Machholz…Poison? It was not a name she was going to be forgetting any time soon, that was for sure.
“I’m not a fighter!” Eros burst out as she shoved herself back onto her feet, clutching her aching side. “I swear to god, I don’t want to hurt anyone! Whomever you’re talking about, I swear, I’m not going to do anything to her. I couldn’t even if I wanted to.”
She chanced a flicker of her eyes to the sides, searching for an opening. How fast did this chick run? Was she faster? Could she make a break for it? Running was really the only option here… Eros had little experience with fighting. Even when things had gotten bad while she was with Ice and people had gotten demanding, she’d learned to just give them what they want, and while you might not come out of that entirely unharmed, cooperative stood a better chance of alive than being troublesome. Sadly, that wasn’t going to work here, that much was obvious.
“My name is Eros. I just started this bullshit… I haven’t done anything to anyone. If you want me to stay away from your girl, then just tell me who she is and I will never, ever go near her, I swear! I’m really good at keeping promises like that.”
Another smooth step backwards and Eros tensed, her eyes on the strange black senshi for any more signs of threat from her. God, this night was turning out just ******** peachy...

Oh, so the girl wanted to make a deal, hm? Machholz stopped her circling and had the thoughtfulness to look interested. She waslistening, just wasn't sure she was going to like this 'deal'.
But Eros made Mach hesitate and then hum. Not a fighter. Maybe defensive. That couldn't be too bad against a Negaverse Captain, right? So the white haired tapped a single nail to her lips and thought about what was said. Something about this senshi made her want to take it easy on her. It could be the fact Eros was one of her favorite mythological figures. It could be because she had those sad eyes that just begged to be listened to otherwise it'll end up looking like Mach kicked her puppy. That wouldn't be fun.
She sighed slowly and tilted her head the other way before nodding.
“Her name is Erythrite. She's a Captain for the Negaverse...” She let her voice trail off. “You know. I might let you off the hook and keep an ear out for you, Eros. Something about you makes me want to believe you. Maybe I'll trust my gut on this.” Machholz made a little 'hmm' and smiled. “Okay. I won't fight you here and now. But if I hear you attack her, you had better believe I will become worse than your worse nightmare.
“Now that's settled! What's your sphere?” She seemed to flip personalities at the flick of a switch and she put her hands in front of her, smiling wide, relaxing. “Is it paint? You're so colorful… I'm bad at guessing spheres though...”

The short woman’s mouth worked, but no sound came out. She stared for a long moment, before shaking herself and plastering a pained smile onto her face.
This chick was ******** nuts. Just like that, and she flipped from aggressive to almost pleasant, just with a promise not to make trouble. I… guess this is a good thing, even if its ******** weird as s**t...
“Heh, yeah, okay. Erythrite. No problem. If I hear it’s her, I will make sure to make myself scarce.” Eros said, trying for ingratiating. She didn’t relax, but she did allow herself to straighten up, gently rubbing her side in an inconspicuous way.
“Ah, well.. Passion. I guess. It was kind of a huge toss up, when I awakened, and I didn’t really get the whole low down on what was going on at the time. There were monsters and weirdos in trench coats and this big cat-man…” She shrugged uneasily.
“Um… what’s a Dark Mirror?” Eros ventured, hoping to steer the conversation further away from ‘punch Eros in the face’.

Well, if the other had called her nuts, Machholz might be offended, even if it was starting to become true. Mach knew not everything she did was in the realm of normal, but her thought pattern was ..skewed at best. Oh well.
“Or, if you see her getting attacked, you could create a distraction and try to let her get away? Or, oh, if only you could call me…” She hummed softly and tilted her head again before shrugging. “Passion? That’s an interesting sphere… As for what you’re talking about, I’m assuming it’s youma and a Negaverse agent. Cat-man sounds like a half youma… The monsters were definitely youma. Mm..”
Then the question came about what a Dark Mirror senshi was. “That, Eros, is a good, complicated question with a complicated answer…” She thought a moment, trying to gather her thoughts. “I know most of you, the Order senshi, call us Chaos. We might align with the Negaverse more often than not, as a group, but it tends to vary from person to person. We can walk through mirrors and are given mirrorwraiths. I’m not sure, exactly, where we come from, where our power comes from. I know I was chunked through a mirror and came out the other side looking like this.” Mach motioned to her black dress and just shrugged. “If you find an Eternal one, they can probably answer the question more completely than I can. We’re a small group. Very family like. Not all of them are like me. Not as intense. Not all of them will try to attack you on spot.”
Mach wasn’t going to apologize for it, but at least she was being nice enough to tell her that she didn’t have to be afraid of all Dark Mirror Senshi.

"Ah... Yeah... I can help her out." Eros murmured, lying through her teeth and forced smile. If she ever ran into anyone named any variation of 'Erythrite', she was ******** running the other direction.
The information the nut job delivered was gathered and filed away for mulling over later. With a grain of salt, of course. Someone who could so easily flip between aggressive and passive wasn't to be trusted to have an unbiased, truthful view of anything. She'd need to find someone else who knew and ask them for the full story. Aligning with the Negaverse didn't sound real promising, even without the kick to the gut the woman had given her.
Chucked through a mirror, though? ******** weird. The more she heard about what magic could do, the weirder it all got, and not in a good way. Why couldn't things be more straightforward? Why all the colored lights and sparkled? She liked glitter as much as the next rave bunny, but this was a bit much.
"Your family, um, sounds very... Nice. I'm sure they're all wonderful people." Eros soothed, smiling and holding up her empty hands. "Ah... It's getting kinda late and my roommate will worry if I'm out too late. Would it be okay with you if I headed home now? It was great talking with you, and all."
She was highly tempted to start backing away, but she restrained herself. What if, like a cat, motion drew unwanted attention? Better to make sure she wasn't going to jump her again when her back was turned.

Machholz’s smile only got wider as Eros said she’d help her out. In the DMS’s book, that was as good as a promise.
“My family is very nice. I’m going to protect them with everything I am.” But then Eros mentioned how late it was getting and that she had a roommate. Her head tilted to one side and Mach gave a little nod and even waved her off. “Of course! I have no reason to go after you. You’re a really nice senshi. I’m sorry for attacking you. I won’t next time we meet up.” She just gave the other a sweet smile and hummed.
“Be safe getting home. There are worse people than me out there.” With that, Machholz put her hands behind her back and just waited for her to leave. She was going to keep her promise. No following.

Eros gave a half-hearted smile and offered the strange woman a little salute laced with a hint of sarcasm. Thank god she’d gotten out of this without getting her s**t ******** up… she could tell this would have gone badly, in a different scenario.
“Yeah, hey, you too.” She said before she turned and started off at a fast clip, keeping her pace to a walk. Didn’t want to draw her attention more than she had already.
