Tony was hard at work, setting up the library for Halloween. He loved decorating, and this year he was holding nothing back as he spookified the library out. Cobwebs and tombstones were the current theme, save in the children's area. He tried to keep that, at least, a little less on the scary side and more on the fun: it was themed around a pumpkin patch instead. The second floor was where the cemetery theme really took root, and the third floor looked like a haunted forest of some kind.
He was on a step ladder, reaching up over a shelf behind the front counter, hanging some cobwebs to finish this area.
Hadaya was sitting on the bottom run of the ladder, looking up curiously and watching Tony intently. He wondered how a man with a cane could balance so well, but of course, the moment that thought formed the curse was cast. Tony lost his balance and wobbled, letting out a yelp as he pitched forward, then backward. He managed to step back to regain his footing and not fall, but that resulted in his foot meeting Hadaya's paw.
The kitty let out a yelp and bounced up and away from the ladder, hitting the ground and scrambling in fear and surprise, which in turn made Tony turn quickly to check on the Guardian Cat and, of course, knock himself off balance again.
This time he did fall, landing hard on his butt, with cobwebs falling down from the shelving unit to land delicately on his head.

Ciel had made a decision she would try to continue her mother's book series. It was unfinished and she felt like she could honor her mother by writing a conclusion, plus she felt like her mother's fans deserved an ending even if it wasn't as good as it would have been under her mama.
So to that end she had gone to the library with her laptop, figuring it would be a good quiet place to write.
She had been working on it for several hours with only a few pages completed. Writing a book is so hard, how did Mama do this all the time. she thought as she leaned back in her chair.
She was startled from her thoughts when she heard a cat's meow in protest followed by a loud from behind the bookcase next to her. Leaving her laptop on the table she looked around the comer to discover the source of the disturbance.
She saw a familiar face laying on the floor with cobwebs on his head, it was a friend that she hadn't run into in month. "Tony!? Mon Dieu! Are you ok?" She asked as she went to help him up.

Tony looked up at Ciel as she came over to help him, offering her a very strained laugh that was meant to be reassuring and dismissive, but sort of sounded half way like a whine. He got up slowly, with her aid, shaking his head to discourage her helping him while at the same time thanking her for the effort.
"Thank you. Ah. Yes, I'm fine. That was um. Well. That was an unfortunate series of events, wasn't it? Did you see what way the cat went?"
He looked around and did not have much trouble spotting Hadaya and his 'hiding' spot.
As a rather large cat, Hadaya had difficulty fitting into the small places that called to him. He liked to hide and squish into boxes, like any other cat, but he had to make sure he found an appropriately sized place to accommodate him.
This spot did not fit that bill. Or this cat. He was squished under a bookshelf, but had not made it all the way. While his head was under and he could not see anything but the underside of the shelf, his butt was sticking out and his legs were flat out behind him. At least he did not have a tail to worry about.
Tony reached up and took the cobwebs off of his head, sighing and looking up at where they were supposed to be hanging. He would have to try that one again.
"Ah. I'm sorry if I made a bit too much noise there..."

"Oui." She said with a chuckle. She looked around and saw the back of a cat sticking out from under a bookshelf. She pointed to the cat in response to Tony's question.
"Oh no worries. I'm just doing some personal work its nothing important, plus I wasn't making much progress anyways." she said with a dismissing laugh
She felt a little awkward because of how long it'd been since she'd been with the royal knight of earth, and the last time they meet hadn't exactly been a good time for her. "So um long time no see. How have you been?" She inquired.

"Personal work? I'm sure it's not without importance, if you're here working on it. What was it?" He didn't mean to interrupt her work, as he knew that the library was supposed to be a quiet place where people could come and... not be interrupted by falling librarians and yelping cats.
He spotted said cat, though, when she pointed him out and sighed, shaking his head.
"Hadaya?"
Moving over to the shelf in an effort to collect the cat, Tony stooped and picked him up carefully, tugging him out from under the shelf and picking him up without much difficulty, as Hadaya had given up on moving and was completely limp as he was handled. Dead weight. He gave Tony a look and the librarian sighed an apology, holding Hadaya to his chest now and petting him.
"I'm doing well enough. I've been worried about you, though, and I'm glad to see you now."

"Um well you see my Mama was an author and she never got a chance to finish her book series so I thought maybe I could finish it for her." Ciel explained a blush etching itself on her face, saying it out loud was actually pretty embarrassing.
She smiled as she saw the star on the cats forehead once Tony had retrieved him from the shelf, so this wasn't just some house cat but a mauvian.
"Another addition to the Darrow power family huh?" She asked in a quiet voice "Bonjour Monsieur Hadaya." She said with a wave. "So are you Chaonis' guardian?" She asked curious just who the cat was attached to.
"Merci." She said blushing a bit the Tony had been worried about her, but it also made her feel good inside to know that he still care about her. "I've been through a lot since we last meet that's for sure. Some of it was good, some of it was really bad, and some of it was so weird I'm still not entirely sure it was real." She said thinking about some of the weird things that had happened to her these past few months.

Tony couldn't help the smile that hit his face, and he nodded his head slowly.
"That is a really lovely thought, and it's very good of you to want to finish her books for her. I think that is a really important thing for you to do, and if you need any help that the library can provide, a quiet place to work before or after hours, you're always welcome here. Just let me know, okay?"
As a knight or as a librarian, Tony was dedicated to helping those he cared about. He was delighted to hear of her project, and could already guess how much it meant to her. So it did not hurt him at all to offer her whatever he could to help her.
He chuckled when she noticed Hadaya was a guardian cat, the cat in question looking up at him in surprise. He nodded his head slowly.
"Yes, he is part of our family, but..."
"I'm Navi's guardian!" Hadaya responded, mewing happily. He loved when he got to actually speak to others, so it did him good to learn this was someone who was part of the war with them. Navi was, of course, Chaonis' girlfriend, and was living with the Darrows until the duo could find their own place.

She blushed again at his praise, but it felt good. "Merci. I doubt it'll be even half as good as if she wrote it but I feel like her fans deserve some kind of ending. I might take you up on that, my roommate can be kind of loud sometimes." She said with a laugh.
"Well she's lucky to have you then." She said with a smile. Truth be told she was really jealous of senshi, that they got such cute and helpful companions. Sure knights had their summons but it wasn't the same, they couldn't talk or walk around the city like Mauvians could.
"So Tony, anything new with you?" She asked curious about what the royal knight had been getting up to since they last saw one another. She offered him a seat at the table she had been working at.

Tony chuckled and nodded his head. He was easy to contact, after all, and she knew where to find him at any time. If she wanted to drop by the library, he could always let her in. There was no problem there, as far as he was concerned.
Everyone needed a quiet place to work, after all.
Deciding a small break would not hurt, Tony took her up on her offer and sat down, putting Hadaya on the table. The cat waddled over to her side of the table, rumbling happily.
"Nothing much on my end. Some visits to my Wonder. A lot of time with the family. Watching my daughter get bigger and bigger. They do grow up very fast." But he knew that, from watching his 'children', the Pages he saw from awakening to knighthood, grow up. Of course, his actual baby daughter was a little different, but not by much in his heart. He loved them all, and couldn't help it.

"Aww, how old is she now? Kids are so cute." She said with a smile. She loved little kids they were so innocent and happy, and that only made her wish that the war was over more. It broke her heart to think of little kids hurt or orphaned by Negaverse.
"Oh I don't know if Chaonis told you about it or not but we beat Painite in a fight when she attacked us during a training session." She said, still feeling proud of her accomplishment there even if she would have died without Chaonis there to help her.
"Also I meet three senshi royals. I don't know if you know them: Polaris of magnetism, Leto of camouflage, and Remarque of puppetry." She said curious if the Royal Knight knew any of the names.

Camelot frowned.
"You need to be careful around people like Painite. Once you get her attention, she won't stop hunting you. I don't want you to be hurt by her. If she comes after you again, make sure you send for me immediately, okay?"
He was careful around her because he knew what she could do. She was evil, purely so, and delighted in hurting people for the sake of it. Spiteful and torturous, she would not simply kill the knight if she thought she could get away with causing lasting pain and suffering.
Chaonis should know better, but he assumed they had a good reason to be fighting Painite. Likely, she did not give them a choice.
"I know of them, met them before. Not in recent days," he said, nodding his head. He had met them, some before they became royal.

She looked down at the table. "I'll try to be careful, and I'll try to call you if its something I can't handle. But I can't run from people like her. I want to be like you Tony, a knight people can look to to protect them and keep them safe. And to do that I need to be able to face Generals on my own two legs."
"Besides she's at least not a General Queen..." Ciel shuddered at the memory of that awful woman she had seen at Ploutonion. The woman who lifted the tall man up with one had like he weighed nothing before shoving her hand into his chest, the woman with that horrific aura that was the exact opposite of Camelot's warm and comforting aura. "So I at least stand a chance in a fight against her."

"Yes, that's fair enough. Still. Power level isn't everything. It lies in how far a person is willing to go, and what they are willing to do, to win. Painite will do anything: she has no limits, and no conscience. You do, and that's what will make you stronger than her in the long run. Don't lose sight of the power in yourself, the power in peaceful actions and relying on your teammates."
He believed strongly that the most power they had was in each other, and he did not want anything to happen to her, or anyone else, if they could avoid it simply by being in contact. He smiled, though, shaking his head and laughing a bit.
"Sorry, I don't mean to give you a lecture. You're already busy, and I'm nothing but interruptions today. I'll let you get back to it. I'm really glad you're doing well, and I hope you do keep dropping by here." If only because he liked being able to keep up with her, and see how she was doing. he worried, as any mother hen would do.

"You're right, I'll try to take that to heart." She said earnestly. She respected the older knight alot and she would do her best to follow whatever advice he gave her.
"Its ok I like your lectures, they remind me of...of my papa." She said the last part softly. "Merci, I'll try to keep in touch better. Have a good day Tony, and it was nice meeting you Hadaya." She said petting the guardian cat affectionately before returning to her laptop.
