Sweet Sinnamon Roll Too evil, Too impure for this world.
As some would know, a good breakfast is the key start to a great day. Or night, depending on at what time your 'day' began. And with the season for Sinnamon Spice in the air, a traditional holiday pastry is making the rounds. Literally. However with such a high demand, (and often a high price tag!) its just cheaper and often easier to make some for yourself at home. Or well, in Home Wreckonomics. The school has opened up small bake sessions in the spirit of the season anyone and everyone can bake their favorite holiday classic. But to those who make the oh so tasty Sinnamon rolls? Well.
You can make some serious dough off of those.
Quote: gaia_star Step 1: Make the dough. Simple enough! Roll to gather the ingredients. Take as many rolls of the dice as you need, (max 3 dice per roll). Use 10-sided dice. 1- You can't seem to find what you're looking fo- oh wait you would have HAD SOMEONE NOT TAKEN IT. Rude. 2- You can't seem to find what you're looking for in the fridge. 3- AHA! You found the key ingredient. Fresh Sinnamon. 4- You can't seem to find what you're looking for in the cupboards. 5- You can't seem to find what you're looking for in the pantry. 6- You found all you needed from the pantry! Awesome. 7- You can't seem to find what you're looking for in the trash. ...Why did you think you'd find anything in there anyway? 8- You can't seem to find what you're looking for in recycle bin. Hey, gotta try and stay green right? 9- The fridge just had it all hiding in the back, score! 10- You can't seem to find what you're looking for and blame the gnomes. Because you can hear them laughing. Jerks. It's very likely was them. You'd put money on it.
Quote: gaia_star Step 2: PrepDough made, roll it out and roll it up, but careful not to put in too much of that sinnamon sugar goodness! Using 6d10, try to keep your sinnamon-sugar combo below 7. Anything above and well... it's no longer going to be sweet but more... semi choking. Use 1d10 1- +1 Sinnamon scale 2- +3 Sinnamon scale 3- +0 Sinnamon scale 4- +2 Sinnamon scale 5- +1 Sinnamon scale 6- +0 Sinnamon scale 7- +2 Sinnamon scale 8- +1 Sinnamon scale 9- +0 Sinnamon scale 10- +3 Sinnamon scale If you get over 7, you'll have to start over from scratch, and that's terrible.
Quote: gaia_star Step 3 BAKEAll rolled up and cut up, it's time to bake these buns in the oven. Sweet sugar spice babies you can't wait! But alas, the aroma has lured hungry gnomes come to knock you out so they can steal the fruits of your labor. Fight off the three Gnomes, Popper, Artiehokie, and Snapies. This gross trio is head on ready for a culinary showdown, so bring out your best. Each one has 10 HP, and does an auto-2 HP each turn. Thankfully, armed with the spice rack's unlimited back pepper, you can do an additional +2 damage with each hit. One their all taken out, it's only a matter of time before...
Quote: gaia_star Step 4: Relish in your victory. Enjoy, and weep at your tasty sticky buns. For these are the true treats of the crisp season's culinary finest.
gaia_diamond LEARNED ABILITY: Sweet Sinnamon- By the infusion of evilly delicious spices, you student can now outside of battle, make any food they touch palatable and vaguely taste like there is a bit of a sweet kick to it. Kamakura had heard the school would be hosting a baking class, and had set time aside in his schedule to attend the course. He could deny it all he wanted, but learning how to make some of the things he liked to par-take in didn't sound like a half bad idea. Rolling up his sleeves, he made his way to the class, pushing his bag under the table before examining the various items within his immediate line of site.
There seemed to be a lot of things here, mostly ingredients of all types, namely the smell of sinnamon was thick in the air. Sniffing curiously the felines ears rolled forward with a curious look on the cat boils expression brightened some as he started looking for what he might need to follow the directions that had been displayed for them.
It wasn't like he was an expert..but perhaps there would be some other student he could wade through this with to get a grasp on the situation. It would depend, he wasn't very good at asking for help to begin with...he glanced up from his work station, noticing another student near him he glanced over at her for a moment, a curious look on the cat demons face. However he still needed to find a few things. "Where do they even keep everything.." The demon muttered moodily. giving the air a curious sniff. It was easy enough to find the fresh Sinnamon, he gathered a few things of it, and then went looking for the rest of his stuff he felt like he was wandering in circles. Obviously someone had taken what he'd needed, he swore he even heard snickering and thought of the resident gnomes.
Shrugging off the feeling he switched gears and went into the fridge, looking around a bit more until he came across the egg and butter he'd need, along with the milk. His eyes lit up as he snatched up what he needed, glad at least to not be on a wild goose chase anymore. That left a few things from the pantry then he'd be set to start.
Setting down his ingredients he placed a hand on his hip scowling as the list of ingredients for a moment lost in thought as his tail twitched. "You having any luck over there?" He directed his comment to the reaper, although he was not yet sure what flavor. The demon tilted his head peering up form his list, golden-cat like eyes narrowing on the ghoul in question.

Indu was flouncing around her station with the air of a trained professional. She had been on hell's kitchen and nearly almost won. The only reason she hadn't was because the entire thing had been a huge joke - although obviously her skill had allowed her to survive for that long. Basically, Home Wrec could kiss her fabulously talented a**.
Pulling out all the ingredients necessary from the fridge, dropping them on her station, and fighting with another student for the precious sinnamon payload was all done within a few minutes. Turning as she heard a voice, she inspected the student standing at their own station beside her. "Hm? Oh I'm doing fine, thaa~nk you!" Fluttering her eyes, she moved slightly so the other student could see all her neatly arranged ingredients. Side-eyeing his station, she wilted slightly. Oh. The boil had found his as well. It seems he wasn't like most of the students in this class, flailing around like a deranged spider. That was fine, though it was always fun being slightly better than the person you're next to. She extended the olive branch of table partners to him, as well as a smile. "You can use some of my sinnamon if you run out. Ok?"

Sinnanom Total Count: 9 (eww)
Kama watched the other student move around with masterful-like precision for a while. While he wasn't as sure of himself as her perhaps as he'd never baked before but at least he had watched his scarenanny enough times as a scareling to have a vague concept of what to do.
"Thanks, I appreciate it, the smell of it fresh is so nice." He commented thoughtfully, with a smile creeping its way onto his face. Kama decided to take having a cooking neighbor in stride and instead of ignoring her inclined his head. All it took was a second to look away and he'd poured way to much of the spice in.
Wrinkling his nose, he assumed it would be fine as he tried to roll out the dough and get this process moving along, admit ably eager to try one of the treats. Pacing by his oven he waited not keeping a close eye on his station and hovering near his oven. "Honestly I have no idea if that's right." He muttered, ears laying back with a sigh as he watched them turn from their rolled out dough-like state to firmer through the artifacts door.
Enough time passed that the thing let out a loud BEEP to signify it was done. The smell of fresh cooking Sinnabon's while delightful, he could tell without even taking a bite they had way to much of the sinnamon powder. When he pulled them out he scowled at them, pinching off a small bite not minding the hot heat.
"Well Jacking hell, I just ruined a whole batch." He'd just have to start over...or so it seemed from scratch. As he looked from the batch to the ghoul he noticed a certain lack of things at his station..and the faint sound of gnomish later. He growled scowling in the direction of the fleeting later, although he could not see the culprits.

"No problem!" Unable to resist rubbernecking, Indu kept glancing over at the boil's station. It wasn't being nosy, she told herself, it was simply helping out to make sure that he didn't mess up. Oh - he did. Trying not to smile and sternly telling herself that it was not a competition, she nevertheless continued to sneak glances at his baking. Her own rolls, she felt sure, would come out just fine. She hadn't made them before but cooking and baking and all that was basically just understanding how to use a kitchen properly. Barely paying attention to her own work station, she watched with a sad shake of the head as the boil lamented the loss of his first batch. "Aw - well we only have to do a good batch? So you can try again?" Turning to pull her own buns out of the oven, she selected one and bit down heavily. After a few seconds of concentrated silence, Indu turned back to the boil again. "Here! I'll make some more as well, these are soo yummy I want to make some more to take home."
As soon as he wasn't looking, she dumped the rest of her first tray in the garbage.

"I was merely jesting, of course I'll use your given name." He indicated, his expression falling flat as he looked more serious than the smile vanishing for the now. Although the good spirits between them persisted, he returned a smile to her and a murmured sheepish apology as he got to work.
Kamakura glanced between her and his work station, she'd caught up considerably quickly. Even with the state of things being disorganized, but that was the least of their problems. While the delightfully devilish good delights, they seemed to suddenly have company. "I'm...not certain?" Kama started to say, when he realized they suddenly had company.
Three gnomes all but demanding for what they had worked so hard to create. "Give us the goods you pathetic brats they belong to us!" The first one named Popper said. "Yeah! Or no one gets hurt!" Artiehokie added, with a jeering and rude gesture. Finally there came the last voice. "Hehehe and you will if you don't!" The last one Snapies snapped as they introduced themselves, with their crooked smiles and narrowed eyes.
Kamakura's eyes blazed at the outrageous demands and stepped forward, blocking their path towards his and Indu's buns.
"Not so fast, you aren't going to touch them...I'll give you one but you can't have the whole Jacking batches!" He snapped as he launched a fireball at one of the trio as one tackled into him, cackling and giggling all the while. It was a true tiny menace. "Look out!" He called out to the reaper ghoul to warn her of the danger.

Turning around, Indu was unable to let out a scream at the sudden flare of fire. The sinnamon had reached critical mass and had exploded into - no, it was just her new friend lighting a gnome on fire. Her eyes widened at the sight of him being swarmed by all three of them and she hurried forwards, still without summoning her weapon, to help pry them off. "Shoo - shoo! Go away!!"
After all, this wasn't the gym. A ghoul could get into trouble waving two iron balls around without the teacher's permission!

It was no biggie really, just casually setting a few hyper aggressive gnomes on fire..the class was going swimmingly. Kamakura scowled as he swatted away one of the gnomes, kicking at the first one he'd thrown the flash of fire at. Not wanting to burn down the kitchen area instead he morphed his usually human-like hands into more clawed ones as he slashed out at the little jacking bastards as they kicked and flailed wildly to try and steal their hard baked treats.
"Get OUT of here they aren't for you!" He hissed, ears laying back as he tried to watch his new friends back, and keep them from leaping on either of them.
