Nadia flopped onto the pile of cushions she had broken down and moved to accommodate as many people as she had texted. Food, of all sorts was placed around her kitchen, Champagne and wine. Colin and Auguste were snacking, and Lorne had joined her.
"So the choice of movie is up to Andrew! When he gets here, and Rhea is coming over." There was so much pointed stare at Colin and Auguste and Lorne. "You guys haven't met her yet. Rhea is her powered name. She's a chibi senshi of laughter." She rose her brow and then waited.
"Once they join, that'll be all the people we've got so far." Minus one angry russian but he was like a low key knight. That appeared when they needed him the most.
Like batman.

Colin had come early to help set up, because he was officially the team leader and because it was a lot of work for one person. He was nibbling on Oreos (surprisingly tasty with red wine) and poking at Auguste with his toes; the meeting had him in high spirits - he just wished Aleksy had been able to come too.
"Sounds like a plan, Nadia." Rhea? The blond stopped playing footsie with Auguste and sat up, trying to place the name. Ah. That's right. Nadia told me a little about her. Nadia's pointed look in his direction was met with the most wide-eyed and innocent expressions Colin could manage. "Why are you looking at me like that! I know how to behave in social situations."
He stuck his tongue out at her and rolled his eyes good-naturedly. "It's not like I'm going to crawl into someone's lap and grind during a team meeting." Picking up his glass, Colin smirked "I am housebroken, you know."
Colin did a quick count, of the seven current members, six would be in attendance. That was pretty damned good. "Six out of seven's not bad. A good turn-out."
Auguste sat at the table with a glass of water instead of wine, but he'd snagged an Oreo before they were all gone (he'd been warned about Colin's liking of them), munching on it happily. He could feel the blond's foot against his own and he was prodding him back, his expression a mixture of excitement to meet with the rest of the team and apprehension, because, well, he was still a little uncertain about just being a part of them as a whole.
"Chibi senshi of Laughter?" he repeated curiously, finishing off the Oreo and reaching for his water. "I've never met her, but I'm very much looking forward to it!"
Nadia's pointed look was met with a politely confused one of his own, Auguste tilting his head to the side. He did, however, understand at least the mention of grinding and his cheeks pinked, ever so slightly, even if he wasn't quite certain why that was what Colin had jumped to thinking Nadia had meant.
"Who's the seventh we're missing?" he asked, reaching for a chocolate chip cookie this time. "Aleksy?"

Isaiah's evening fought him every step of the way to Nadia's house.
First he woke up late from a nap, then he discovered his shirt was inside out, then he smudged his own makeup in application, then he couldn't find his car keys, then he dropped said car keys into the garbage disposal accidentally, then he took a wrong turn twice in trying to reach Nadia's apartment, and lastly he stopped at the wrong address first. Luckily he remembered the DVD he intended to bring, and sunglasses for the dull, throbbing hangover that finally subsided to a tolerable level. Once he found the proper door to Nadia's, he knocked surreptitiously and waited for an answer.
Isaiah grasped the DVD loosely in his left hand while he adjusted the sunglasses with his right. Despite the setting sun (or perhaps the setting sun intended to spite him), Isaiah found the brilliant hallway too oppressive for his headache.
While he waited, Isaiah leaned against the doorframe. His head came to rest against the jamb, and he preferred the cool wood to his temple.
As a second notification, he sent Nadia a generic text stating his arrival.
I wonder if I should listen to Colin and tell them my real name for once. It's exhausted its usefulness now. If I keep it up any longer, I might just lose the friends I made with them. Relationships are such tricky little schemers.
She was going to meet the other's today and she was really excited. Methone's friends, she simply couldn't wait and also she want to give her friend a super big hug. She walked up to the door of the apartment to see a guy leaning against the door. She wanted to knock instead she stood staring because she didn't know this guy.
After a moment the 12 year old found her courage and piped up, "excuse me, um, is this uh ...," she paused briefly trying to remember a name which she didnt think she had, honey colored eyes wide as she tugged on a piece of wavy hair the came loose from her buns.
"Is where the um meeting is and um movie night .... uh," she said finally feeling super awkward. "Did you knock?"

Colin and Auguste STILL received a look from Nadia and then she nodded.
"She's really adorable, to be honest. I've met two chibi's now and it always surprises me that they have to fight." She relaxed, "Seven is Aleksy. Camlann, Knight of Saturn. You'll most likely meet him in a very unexpected place..." Like knitting with grandma's at the community center. "I hardly believe that Colin," She smiled, "As 6 out of the 7 members are of legal age, and have been intimate all together." She rose a brow to the ceiling. But she was only teasing, and it was shared by the calm and playful smile on her lips.
She almost didn't hear the voices outside and slowly made her way to the door, opening it and checking her cellphone.
"Ah Andrew!" She smiled at him and then peeked over his shoulder, a smaller girl joining them. "And you must be..Rhea?" Although she should really get her name. "Come in you too, Andrew there is some advil in my bathroom if you need it." She could see some sort of pain in the eyes, and wondered if he would still be up for the night.
The voice from behind did not immediately draw Isaiah's attention, for he wanted to assume that the obviously childlike tone addressed someone else. Once she mentioned the movie night, though, he kicked himself quietly for his luck in having to talk to a child. Mustering the most natural smile he could, he turned to address the girl.
And yes. She was definitely a child. "I... Yes, it's a movie night, but I don't know if-..." Isaiah dropped off from answering when Methone - or Nadia - poked her head out to answer for him. Idly Isaiah adjusted his sunglasses, flashed her a smile, and nodded slightly in thanks for the offer of painkiller.
Isaiah kept his tone low to prevent the girl from overhearing him and considering him rude. "Is she supposed to be here? She's got to be a preteen. Does awakening extend to kids as well?" At which point the girl may be a part of their team. What use had a war for children? Adults were better equipped both physically and mentally for the hells of war, and children seldom served as well beyond tactics. When trained properly, children were far more pliant in devotion, and far more willing to commit atrocities than adults, and their presence on a battlefield doubled as shock factor, but the meek girl that um'd and uh'd her way through a question to him hardly seemed like the ruthless killer/cultist type.
"Anyway, the best cure for a hangover is more drinking. But, I'll take the Advil if she's company." And what a damn drag if she is. Kids like to take the fun out of everything. I wonder if her parents are the type to expect everyone around them to stop cussing, like she somehow won't pick up on words like ******** and s**t and cocksucker. Maybe I can send her home with a few new additions to her vocabulary...
Isaiah stepped inside beside her, and offered the DVD in hand. "I brought this, in case we needed it." The battered old case read Evil Dead 2 across the top.
Afterward he passed into the hallway and followed the sound of conversation to discover Auguste and Colin in the kitchen. Finally he took off the sunglasses. "Haven't seen you two in a while. Where's Lorne at? I'm surprised he doesn't have a bottle to himself."

Lorne had, handily enough, popped right off to the bathroom real quick - seemed like the best time before everyone had settled down and all - and he popped back out just in the nick of time. The first person he saw was the younger member Nadia had been talking about, the girl who must be a senshi (which frankly it bothered him that children were expected to fight, but she wasn't the first he'd seen, so it didn't exactly shock him).
"Oh! Hello!" he greeted, rather more chipperly than he usually would've greeted - well, anyone he didn't know. There was not a hint of red in his cheeks as he bent to be closer to her level. "My name is Lorne. It's very nice to meet you - oh!"
As if just noticing him, in spite of all the confusion over his name that he'd already had with Auguste, Lorne was beaming as he greeted enthusiastically, "Isaiah! Hey, you made it!"
Methone answered the door, at at least Ashleigh thought it was Methone that the guy at the door spoke in hushed tons too, Ashleigh assuming it was something she wasn't suppose to here. It made her frown, but it was okay, she was 12 after all and people seemed to do that with what was it ... young ears.
When the guy moved out the way and Ashleigh was addressed by her powered name she lit up and instantly latched onto Methone giving her a big hug. "My names Ashleigh, guess I should have told you that before. I'm really glad to see you again, " she spouted releasing the girl, " and meet your friends. Um is he ..."
She started to ask about the guy at the door, 'Andrew', but found herself being addressed by someone else. She frowned at his bending closer making a face the preteen in her almost getting sassy, but hearing his name the face fell away and she grinned.
"Thats a cool name, I'm Ashleigh, but everyone calls me Leah." She looked back to Methones moving further into the apartment. The was grinning clearly excited.
"Is everyone hear? Do I get to meet them all?"

Feet still poking at Auguste, he heard the knock at the door but made no move to get up; Nadia was the familiar face to everyone, so she could handle it. But he did Colin stick his tongue out at Nadia’s smiling face as she moved to open it. “Excuse you, that is not all on me—“ The happy trill of her voice greeting Isaiah - Andrew - and Rhea made him shut his trap; Colin wasn’t going to argue about something like that during this little get together. Instead he straightened a bit in the chair and licked cookie dust off his fingers before wiping them carelessly against his jeans. Sounded like a lot of confab going on near the door, he could wait a minute.
But then Isaiah was there to be greeted, so he waved his fingers a bit. “Hey, he just—“
Lorne did it. Called Isaiah by his actual name and not the assumed one. At least it wasn’t me. A glance at Auguste to see if he'd caught the alternate name - of course he would have, he wasn't stupid - and what about Nadia?
And of course he could hear Rhea’s bell-clear voice. “Well. This is a thing that’s happening.” With a bit of a laugh, he offered his wine glass to Isaiah, “Tonight’s gonna be interesting, I can tell.”
Auguste would have protested the look from Nadia, had he any inkling as to why exactly she was giving it in the first place. Instead, she just got more confusion as he reached for another Oreo, breaking it in half so that he could eat the half with the cream on it first.
"I haven't met any chibi senshi yet," said Auguste thoughtfully, as Nadia stood to answer the door, and either he missed her comment about being intimate, or he just wasn't thinking too hard on it, Auguste idly returning Colin's poking feet with ones of his own. He turned where he sat to catch sight of a dark haired man and a small girl - though admittedly, he was barely a few inches taller - stepping into the room.
Auguste opened his mouth to say hello to Andrew, heard Lorne say Isaiah, and was reminded of what Lorne had said to him, about them being the same person, then promptly shut his mouth again in mild bemusement, trying to figure out which was true. Nadia had said Andrew, and Lorne had said Isaiah, which did not help.
He pushed it out of his mind and instead just gave him a smile as he came over, Auguste prying apart another Oreo.
"Hello," he said brightly. "I'm glad to see you came."
He peered curiously around at where Rhea was, though Auguste let Nadia and Lorne do the initial greeting, and he'd wait to be introduced before talking. "Have you been well?"

"Isaiah?" Nadia's word was said with careful consideration as she looked at him. Her brow rose in just a way that made it seem like she would want an explanation for later, but the easy smile returned and she was laughing as she pulled Rhea in, snugging the girl. She briefly heard the name, Leah? and pushed her forward.
"We have soda if you want some, or juice or water. Feel free to snack on whatever you want, Leah!" She waved her hand. "There is a lot of people here but...That's Lorne, That's Auguste, That's Colin-" She leaned down to whisper, "He's our leader. This is...Isaiah." POINTED LOOK, "And I am Nadia!" She nodded, "This is your team! We hope you like us."
To Isaiah, she drew him aside and nodded. "She's a saturn moon. Younger, Found her on the streets. She's had it tough already. Kids in war dude. I thought it'd be best if we keep her with us." She made a sound and then narrowed her eyes. "Which do you prefer, Isaiah or Andrew?" She tossed the movie towards Lorne, as he was now suddenly in charge of setting it up.
"Oh hold on, I need to-" She had almost forgot one of the members, but after a thought, decided that Rhea and herself needed another pretty lady around. "We've got another member!"

Text to Bestla: So we are having a team meeting, if you are free, you should come and meet everyone!
Lorne emerged from another part of the house, all smiles in his shy manner. Isaiah looked to him over his shoulder, prepared to greet him, and then promptly dropped all pretenses when he heard his real name. The building, well-prepared smile fell away abruptly, and what remained was a faint mix of dread and embarrassment, before in its place came a magnanimous, toothy smile that issued a hint of Lorne, you cocksucker. And possibly some veiled threat.
"Lorne," he started with a murky undercurrent of irritation. "Have a drink. Have half a bottle. You're plenty fun that way." Everyone is, it seems.
He heard the preteen talking and tried to ignore it. Isaiah found children much too far beyond his interest in interaction, and hoped that he had no need to address her in the future. Mentally he prepared a long night of awkward smiles to escape conversation and generally finding reasons to distance himself from her. The rest of the group looked willing to engage her, enough that he felt his interest (or lack thereof) in the child should not matter.
"Looks like I won't be needing to explain myself after all." Isaiah turned around and stood against the table, then received Colin's wine glass in kind. Holding it in palm, he took a long swig. His face soured somewhat with the lack of acquired taste for the wine. The alcohol in it warmed, and he could taste it readily - wine held lower volume than what he was used to, but he should be able to get drunk off it nonetheless. That felt like a necessity with a child there.
"So, hello Auguste. I'm Isaiah." He offered his unoccupied hand for a somewhat dry handshake.
I'd be more glad I came if I didn't have to deal with a child while nursing a terrible hangover, he wanted to say, but couldn't find means or reason to fit that in edgewise. "I've been." He managed a smile that lacked homicidal qualities. "There's been a lot going on in the realm of magical horseshit, but that might be a tale for another day.
"Nadia," he called back toward the foyer, "should we start off with a bit of official business acquaintance? All of our powered qualities and whatnot, I mean."

Lorne stayed, hands on knees, as their youngest member introduced herself to him, and smiled back at her. "Ashleigh - Leah, then - your name, I must say, is also cool, " he said warmly, dipping his head to her politely. "Très heureux. It's a pleasure to meet you."
He squeaked as he fumbled with the DVD his girlfriend had tossed his way, then finally with it in hand eyed the cover skeptically and threw Nadia a look that radiated concern. But then for Isaiah, his smile was both warm and apologetic, not really having meant to 'out' him per say but... although his cheeks burned plenty hot at the drink comment, a small laugh escaping him along with a slight bob of his head.
Then, abruptly, somehow the 'official business' bit was what triggered the moment, and yellow eyes widened almost comically as Lorne squeaked, "Oh, god! I've forgotten someone!" He swept off quickly to get the first scrap of paper and pen he could find, hastily scratching out a message. "I met a Saturn knight some weeks ago, " he explained hastily. "She seemed interested in the team, and I - I said I'd message her if we had a meet or anything - I hope that's okay, Colin, Nadia, I - there."
His cheeks were fairly inferno level as he finished up the note, detailing little more than 'yes, there was a meeting' and the address. There was no telling if she'd even be free or not, but - "I-is this okay to send? - if you'd prefer to wait to meet her, I'd understand."
It wasn't really like him to be forgetful; but, again. He'd had a lot going on these past few months. Not that it was really any excuse, but it was a fact.
Colin watched Isaiah's expression at Lorne - and Nadia's at Isaiah - with amusement, green eyes bright from both the wine he'd had and from the goings on. Really, it was good that his artistic friend had come and that he'd foisted his glass of on him...drinking more than a bit was irresponsible. This was supposed to be at team meeting, and as he heard Nadia say - he was the leader. Setting a bad example and all that.
"Send it, please. Both of you. The more the merrier. More complicated, but that's fine." Lorne was fumbling and their was a young lady waiting, so Colin rose from his seat with all the grace he could muster (which, was quite a bit, even if he did have to sway around Isaiah to come forth and "properly" greet the small senshi.
"Leah," He knelt and put a hand out for hers in a princely fashion, as he had done so many times while in costume at the theater, "It's an honor and a privilege to meet you." Nadia had already introduced him as Colin - the leader - so he would play the part, even if he felt sometimes that he wasn't up to the part. With Isaiah calling for less chit-chat, the curly haired blond kicked into business mode.
"We'll do as Isaiah recommended, say a bit about ourselves." Colin straightened and smiled at the young woman he knew only in the most superficial of ways. "Powered side required, civilian side optional. I know we're here as civilians, but no one has to say more than what's already been said unless they feel comfortable doing so." Which basically meant that Colin wouldn't shut up, Isaiah would probably keep mum...and the others? Well, varying levels of openness, based on their individual comfort levels. Aleksy would have glowered and said nothing - or bitched in Russian.
"Colin Hargrove...but I'm also known as Aegir of Silence and this team's leader. Methone is second in command, if I can't be reached for any reason - get Nadia." He cleared his throat, tasting cookie and wine once more. "I'll give you my information so if you need something, you can get to me." He looked over the others, lips quirked, "That goes for you guys too, if you don't have everything yet."
"When I'm not playing magical dress-up, I work for one of the ballet companies in town...so I'm not always readily available. But I can teach you basic skills, like how to punch someone so you don't break a finger, traffic surfing, using your environment in battle, introduce you to senshi with more skills than me...and tel you where the best vegetarian restaurants in town are."
Having said all of that, the danseur blew out a breath and pushed his hair off his forehead, losing whatever princely air he might still have had. "I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, so...yeah."
Great impression! Maybe? Well, it's probably best she finds out from the start that I'm not as cool as Nadia might have made me out to be.
