The spar had worn them out. The shower that followed had worn them down even further. It meant that by the time the two men had crawled into Zeke's bed, the only thing left on either mind was sleeping. It meant one man sporting a pair of over-sized sleeping pants, and the other stripped down to a pair of green boxer briefs. And, tired as the Mist had been. It meant he'd forgotten to lock the door when they'd come in. Sleeping deeply, Zeke had slid himself right up against the other man's back, one arm slung loosely over his waist, the other tucked up beneath both pillows. He had his face pressed up against the pale stubble at the back of Ever's head and neck, as was usual when the pair shared a bed.

Hattie couldn't sleep. Tommy was away for the night on a mission, leaving her alone in their room. The silence was deafening, and without another body nearby, she found she couldn't sleep. She suffered restlessly for hours before she finally decided to seek company. Any company, really. When she left her room, she left it with her sheets wrapped around her like a towel-toga, as all she was wearing was a thin nightgown. She peeked in on Dylan first, but he didn't seem to be in his room. Her next attempt would be Zeke…and she hoped she'd have better luck with him.
Due to the hour, she didn't knock. Instead, she tried the door knob. It opened easily, which meant - thankfully! - he was home and alone! The best of combinations.
Harley slipped into his room through the smallest gap in the door she could get away with, making sure that all of her sheet toga came in with her. Her eyes adjusted quickly to the lack of light, and she crossed the room she knew too well, shedding her sheet as she went. At his bedside, she paused.
There were two bodies in that bed. Zeke she recognized right away as he was closest, but the other… She squinted in the darkness, trying to make out the second form; she put her bet on it being Ever, but really, she couldn't prove it. Now came a dilemma: should she leave them alone, or stay anyway? It was a very important decision to make, as it affected more than just herself.
Which was why it only took two seconds.
Shrugging to herself, Hattie crawled into the bed as delicately as she could manage, curling up right against Zeke's warm back.

The bed was small -- the trainee rooms too small to sport anything much bigger than a twin -- and Ever and Zeke were already each a solid six feet and taller. It meant that when it was just the two of them it was snug, they had to curl in close and struggle to keep the blankets over them. It meant that Ever's feet usually stuck off the end, when they weren't pressed in against Zeke's legs for warmth, or one arm trailed off the side of the bed. It meant getting very cozy. That, with two of them. With three, it was likely, rapidly, going to become a problem. The cozy cuddle pressed Ever, inch by inch, toward the far edge of the bed. A hand dangling turned into an arm. His fingers brushed against the floor and as he struggled to keep his balance he made a very soft, surprised noise.

Zeke, ever the heavy sleeper, didn't consciously notice the addition of a third body to his small bed. Subconsciously, there came a soft sound that might of been contentment, the slight shift of his body against the one spooning against his back, and the tightening of the arm around Ever, even as the other man slid precariously towards the edge. Even on his own he didn't always wake up when Harley slid into bed with him. At least not at first. Now, having already been out for a while, he didn't show any signs of waking without additional help from the Lifers at either side of him. At least he didn't snore. Often.

Thankfully, Hattie was a rather slight person. Her thin frame, while taking up space, managed to not take up too much of it - until she decided that she wanted to be closer to the source of her warmth. She took another inch or two for herself, snuggling in close to Zeke's back. As she settled in to get herself comfortable, and weaseled one leg to tangle in with his, briefly hoping that it wouldn't wake anyone.
Then, with a small and content sigh, she closed her eyes, and allowed herself to doze off.

A wiggle -- a shift -- a slight adjustment -- and Ever woke up to find himself three quarters of the way off the bed, wedged into the space between the mattress and the wall, with Zeke sprawled out next to him, entwined with Hattie. He made a sound, not quite a yelp, and struggled to right himself again. Failed. "Zeke." It was weak, a hand reaching out to grab for whatever part of Zeke he could reach.

It wasn't Harley's warm weight at his back that woke the Mist, but the sudden loss of warmth against his chest, coupled with a yelp, his name, and a hand groping at his arm and side. For a moment Zeke couldn't process everything, because he was never at his best upon first waking, and the sensory input he was getting just didn't make sense. It was mostly automatic, the hand that caught Ever's the shift of his body to follow that arm towards the wall so he could drag the poor Life back up onto the bed. Onto himself, actually, as he flopped back against the mattress and pillows. Which was about when he realized the additional warmth beside him belonged to someone other than Ever. He blinked in the darkness of the room, eyes straining, and finally shifted a hand to touch the hair on the pillow beside his. He'd forgotten to lock the door...whoops. "Knew I forgot something," was his murmured reply. For Zeke though, and apparently for Harley, this wasn't a big deal. He slept with the both of them separately most nights, and seemed to have slept just fine with both of them at the same time. If anyone was going to have a problem, other than a very obvious lack of room, it was going to be the blonde he'd dragged on top of him. Yawning, Zeke brought his hand back to rest on Ever's back with the other, and now they moved in slow, lazy circles across pale skin. He kept his leg tangled with Harley's, and a tilt of his head let him rest his temple against her brow.

The movement didn't do much to stir her, but the voices did. She peeked open one blue eye as a male voice called Zeke's name, and after a bit of shifting, Zeke's voice replied something entirely different.
"You left the door unlocked, fair game." Hattie yawned, nudging her forehead against Zeke's. A moment later she lifted her head up to try and look at Ever in the darkness. It registered, however slowly, that it was Ever that had fallen, and likely because she had taken up what little space was left on the bed.
"Sorry…did you want me to leave?"

"I should be ******** a full hunter." Ever offered it grumpily in response to Hattie's question, still half-asleep with pillow lines hatching one side of his face and his hair plastered down on one side. On the other, of course, it stood nearly straight up -- a wild rooster-like crest. He kept hold of Zeke's wrist to wiggle back onto the bed and then closed his eyes, swallowing and trying to put his thoughts together. Hattie was just lucky the pair of them had on anything at all, even if, in Ever's case, it was just boxers. Easter bunny boxers. "...then he might have a king sized bed. It's a good idea. Where do I find one?"

There was a soft, drowsy chuckle followed by a very loud yawn, his voice cutting into it at the tail end. "S'alright." The door had been unlocked, and that had clearly been laid out as an invition, because the Mist was hard to wake up in the middle of the night after a long shift. as meticulous as he usually was, he hadn't foreseen an occasion where he'd forget to set the latch, and Harley being who she was, wasn't going to pass up a good cuddle just because there was another body present. She was lucky they were demise eased, though. Granted, Zeke wasn't even sure that would have stopped her. "I'd take a queen at this point." Another yawn, and he turned his head so he could brush Harley's chin with his nose blindly. All the while still running his hands up and down Ever's back. A moment of thoughtful silence as Zeke considered the other man's question. "Furniture store, though you'd probably have to get it vacuum packed to get it through a portal and up stairs." Ever hadn't told Harley to go, and Zeke wasn't about to turn her away, so the question went unanswered. "Bet we could fit a queen in here." But then what did he do with it when he ranked up? Hunter dorms came equipped.

"I didn't mean the bed. I meant the hunter." It was mumbled into Zeke's shoulder as he squinted around in search of the time.

A slight pause, then a snort as Zeke dug his thumbs lightly into Ever's sides. "Can't help you there, but if you give it a couple months..." He really wasn't well equipped for conversations in the middle of the night.

Hattie herself was only in a thin nightgown and panties. There wasn't terribly much left to the imagination herself. The boxers at least helped alleviate the already minute guilt that she may have snuck in after a rather romantic evening. She struggled to listen to Ever's grumbling about the Hunters, and giggled in the wake of Zeke's misunderstanding.
"Full Hunters are on the second floor." She piped up helpfully, before blindly reaching out to pat Ever's shoulder with a sleepy clumsiness. "That'd be a good place to start." Another yawn, and she finally peeked an eye open, letting her sight adjust enough to catch Ever looking around. Why was he looking around? What would be - oh, maybe -
"It's 3:30." She mumbled: really, it was just a guess. She'd made her way over around 3:15, so it stood to reason...

That got a disgusted sound: too early, then, to get up, late enough that he'd been pretty soundly asleep. Ever shifted a little, again, trying to decide if his own room was a good idea, now -- but it was warm, and he didn't know where his clothing had gotten too, and maybe one of his feet was asleep, and getting up seemed like far more work than it was worth. Instead, he just wiggled back in. One pointy elbow jabbed into Zeke's kidneys, just a little. That was his punishment for bringing a woman into the bed; Ever certainly hadn't signed up for those kinds of threesomes. "Who's single on the second floor, then, little miss knowledge? Or single enough, at least..."

Despite the sharp jab of an elbow into his side, Zeke had to smirk as Ever snuggled back down against him. Not leaving, and not kicking Hattie out either. It seemed the Mist was going to get his cake, and eat it too. If he were a jealous person, or less secure, the conversation springing up between either Lifer might have bothered him. As it stood, Zeke took it in stride, not hung up on whether or not Ever was serious in his inquiries, or just carrying on an amusing joke. Possibly both. "Making her your wingman, now?" It didn't matter, because whatever relationship he had with Ever wasn't exclusive. It also didn't matter because today's victory on the training grounds meant he got to drag Ever off to Vegas in the morning. Shifting a little between them, Zeke adjusted until he could lay one hand on Ever's hip. The other had wandered up to trail his fingers along Harley's arm where it lay on his chest.
