Nicole glanced out the window, waiting for the slave to be dropped off. He was going to come today. However, Nicole wasn't able to watch for long, because she looked at her nephew on the ground. He was trying to put a stuffed bear into his mouth. "Don, no! Here, you can put this in your mouth," she said, giving him a small plastic ring. Don said something in baby talk that roughly was "Bwa-bware." (B-bear) "You can't put the bear in your mouth, Don," Nicole said patiently. She looked at the door again, watching for the slave.
Jake sat in the back of a transport van, his arms bound behind him with rope. There was a collar around his neck that prevented him from shifting to his true form, and a chain attached to the collar. He didn't really understand why the guards had gone to this extreme just to transport him; unless he was protecting someone he'd come to care for, he wasn't a particularly dangerous slave. He sat in the van in silence, wondering what his new home would look like. The guards had told him that his mistress had a small child living with her, but other than that, he knew nothing about her. He assumed that since she had a small child, she'd purchased him to babysit and protect the child. That was fine with him; the shield charm on his collar would tell her that he was a protector. When the van finally stopped and the doors opened, Jake got his first look at his new home. It was small, but it would be just the right size for him and his mistress and the child. He grunted as the guards pulled him out of the van, stumbling a bit as he landed on his feet. The guards marched him up to the front door, and one of them knocked on the door while the other released his wrists and removed the chain from his collar.

Nicole saw the van pull up. "Ready to meet someone?" Nicole asked Don, taking the plastic toy ring and putting it on the ground. "Me suh," Don replied. Nicole quickly picked up her nephew before he could get to the toys again. Not that she didn't want him to not play. She just wanted to keep an eye on him while answering the door. 11-month-old boys can do a lot in a few seconds, as Nicole knew from experience. Nicole opened the door when she heard them knock. She waved, smiling at the boy, waiting for the...rather....intimidating...guards to leave or say something or...something. Don stared at the boy with his big blue eyes. After a moment, Don smiled, deciding he liked whoever that was.
OOC
Lol, the sentence about eyes is for Don to have a set eye colour since his eyes are closed in the picture. This is so awkward in my mind...oh, and also, can Nicole take off the collar so he can transform sometimes once the '...rather....intimidating...guards' leave?
that works for me. and yes, it's set to where only his owner can remove his collar.
Werejaguar form:
Jake rubbed his wrists when the rope fell away, then blinked and let his hands fall to his sides when a pretty young woman with a baby boy in her arms opened the door. He returned her smile when she waved at him, and he immediately knew he would like living here. He didn't take his eyes from the young woman and little boy as the guards left, leaving him standing on the porch. "Hello, Mistress," Jake said, bowing respectfully, then straightening up again. "My name is Jake."

Nicole saw the van leave, much to her relief. "Hi Jake. I'm Nicole, and this is Don," she introduced herself and her nephew after Jake introduced himself."Don," she got Don's attention. "This is Jake.""Ake!""Come in," Nicole said, moving out of the doorway. She noticed the collar, which was almost unnoticeable except for the fact that it looks rather uncomfortable. "Do you want that off now?" she asked Jake. Don was staring at the collar and was actually reaching for it. "No, Don. No touching," Nicole said somewhat patiently and a little bit concerned.
Jake noticed that his mistress seemed relieved when the van left, and he didn't blame her. He didn't like the guards any more than she did. He nodded when she introduced herself and the child, saying that her name was Nicole and the boy was Don. He smiled when Don tried to say his name, and he wondered how old the boy was. "Thank you," he said, entering the house when she moved to one side. He looked around as he walked inside, taking note of where things were in the room. He looked at Nicole when she spoke. He realized that she was asking if he wanted his collar removed, and he nodded once. "Yes, please," he said. "It is rather uncomfortable."

Nicole thought for a moment about how to get the collar off once Jake said she could. He also said it was uncomfortable, like she thought it would be. Probably worse, since he was actually the one wearing it. "Here, can you hold him for just a minute?" Nicole handed Don to Jake. "M-mama?" Don looked at Nicole-his aunt-but he thinks she's his mom. He's not even a year old. 'I try to explain it to Don, but why do I try when I know he won't remember?' Nicole thought to herself as she moved to take off Jake's collar.
Jake nodded when Nicole asked him to hold Don, taking the boy and holding him carefully in his arms. He smiled when Don spoke, saying 'Mama.' Jake didn't move when Nicole moved toward him to remove the collar. "The collar is set so that only my owner is able to remove it," he told her. "There's a clasp at the back that will release it."

Nicole nodded when Jake said only his owner-her-is able to remove it, and there was a clasp at the back. "Okay. Hold on...there," Nicole carefully undid the collar and put it in the garbage in the kitchen. "It's okay Don! I'm right here! I can take him back now," Nicole said, speaking to Don for a minute before telling Jake that she could take him back. "M-ma," Don said. "I try to tell him I'm not his mom, but can he remember yet? No," Nicole said to herself, forgetting for a moment that Jake didn't know that Nicole was Don's aunt.
Jake held still as Nicole removed his collar, then watched as she threw it in the kitchen garbage. He nodded when she said she could take Don back, and he handed the boy to her. He heard her speaking to herself, and blinked when she said she wasn't Don's mother. He wondered what had happened to his birth mother, but didn't ask, feeling it wasn't his place to do so. Instead, he reached up and rubbed his neck where his collar had been, glad that he no longer had to wear it. Now that the collar was off, he could feel himself itching to shift, but he suppressed the urge, not wanting to frighten Nicole or Don.

Nicole hadn't noticed that she had said that she isn't really Don's mother and Jake didn't say that he heard, so she didn't explain. She took Don back, since he looked like he was going to get upset soon. Nicole thought about the fact that Jake could now use his powers-Nicole didn't know exactly what powers he had, but she knew it was nothing too dangerous-and she figured she should tell him he could transform. "If you want to use your powers now, whatever they are, you can, but be careful because I don't know how this little guy will react. He'll either love it or not, knowing what I know about him. Er, what are your powers...?" Nicole asked, realizing she didn't really know what his power(s) were/are.
Jake listened as Nicole spoke, and he raised his eyebrows in surprise when she said he could use his powers if he wanted to. She warned him to be careful, since she didn't know how Don would react. "The only true power I have is shifting between this form and my true form," he said. "I don't have any magic that I know of. But before I shift, I must ask if either of you are afraid of big cats?"

Nicole heard Jake explain that his only true power was shapeshifting between his current form and one other form; and he asked if either Nicole or Don were afraid of big cats. "No, we're not. You can transform if you want to," Nicole said. Don wasn't sure what was going on, but he looked at Nicole and then looked at Jake.
Jake breathed a silent sigh of relief when Nicole said neither she nor Don were afraid of big cats, then told him he could shift if he wanted to. Nodding once, he took a few steps back and closed his eyes, then began to shift to his true form. Spotted fur started growing over his exposed skin, and his tail appeared behind him. He started to shrink until he was standing on all fours. A moment later, he had fully shifted to his true form, and he opened his eyes and sat down on his haunches, then looked up at Nicole and Don to see how they would react.
