Brie was still getting used to the sudden change of having been plucked from the virus infected city and then brought to the island of Deus Ex. If that didn't help matters, there was a gap in her memory that spanned over a whole seven days! What ever had happened in that time, as well as the people she may have met were lost to her now. In time, it was possible that the hunters may be able to discover what had happened. Maybe..
For the moment, however, she was more concerned on finding familiar people. It must have been apparent that she had been wandering aimlessly, when another hunter, introducing herself as 'Molly', had started her on a long tour of Deus Island. Following quietly behind the other woman, Brie glanced at passing faces, hoping to spot anyone from her faction from before coming here.
By the time they had arrived at their next destination, Molly received a look of curiosity. "What is this place?" Even more so, what were all these pods for?

As clueless as Molly was most days, seeing a familiar face of loss was something recognizable. Always eager to help and please, she had inquired, and now here they were! She also felt it her responsibility as the higher ranking hunter to show a newcomer around. They had also actually made a quick pit stop to Molly's second floor apartment, where she had grabbed a small batch of cupcakes and whipped up a thermos of hot chocolate--- Because no welcoming was ever complete without those! Unfortunately for Brie though...it was questionable how informational this tour was...aside from pointing out where things were. Molly tried her hardest though. Bless her heart. "Oh!" Molly's curls bounced in reaction to her straightening a bit. She had just gotten so used to strolling in here, maybe it was different for someone--- "It's the pod room! It's where all the hunter candidates sleep until it's time for them to awaken! It's where you woke up!" She paused for a moment, tilting her head as she brows knitted. "...Do you remember?" She was assuming, of course, that Brie had woken up here, because in her entire nearly four years here, no one else new had arrived on Deus otherwise. Before any more could be said though, Molly stilled as she heard a beeping, and then the tell tale whoosh of a pod lid opening. "...Oh my gosh!" Molly exclaimed, eyes going wide as she stared at Brie, and then jetted away from the girl. "Someone's waking up right now! Let's go, Brie! We'll go say good morning!" She also didn't see anyone on duty right now---uh oh! Molly was combing through the rows like a mother hen looking for a chick until she finally found it. Her boots squeaked on the floor as she turned sharply despite her larger frame, and she came to a stop before the opened lid, peering into it with wide eyes.

It was rather like taking a nap.
Kind of. If by nap it was meant that he was encased in some sort of like, weird pod thing that was kind of like a bed if a bed had four rounded walls and smelled kind of like metal and plastic and a vague sense of antiseptic. October was dimly aware that he was probably maybe not in a bed after all.
What a shame.
There was a click and a hiss of steam and the door to whatever he was in - a space shuttle, October thought - swung open. He caught a brief glimpse of familiar bright colored hair and round, wide green eyes that were not quite as familiar, and yellowish lights.
"Oh," said October. "Hello."
Then he toppled forward.

Woke up in- "I don't think I did?" Was she in one of these when she was out? She didn't remember anything like this before. No matter how hard she thought on it, nothing came to mind. The first thing she remembered was waking up after having been rescued by other hunters, but she wasn't in this room, nor in one of these pods. "No, I don't remember anything of the like-"
Anything more on the subject would have to wait, as they were apparently about to witness someone's wake up call now! "Oh-uh-er- okay!" Moving over to stand by Molly, her brow furrowed, as she watched with bated breath.
If she had to describe the scene, it was like something out of a sci-fi movie, or game she may have played in the past. Part of her was expecting some weird alien creature to jump out and eat their faces off. However, when the pod opened, there was no alien, but a human, and not just any human either.
"October..?"
Blinking, she merely stared a moment in disbelief, before reaching out in attempt to catch him as he fell out of the contraption.

"Oh, goodness!" Molly gasped. Her thermos and container of cupcakes fell to the ground as she joined Brie in catching the falling newly awakened sleeper. The thermos clattered to the ground and rolled away, while the cupcake container hit the ground at Molly's feet. Luckily it was a plastic container, and the cupcakes were relatively unharmed. Just some smeared frosting. Molly wrapped her arms around October, at least preventing him from hitting the floor. "Oh----dear----never had this happen before---h-hey-um, are you alright!?" One hand move to briefly pat his cheek.

He wasn't quite sure what was happening except that there seemed to be two voices around him, two faces, and two different people. Maybe. Or maybe he was just imagining things, October's memory and mind rather hazy as he staggered forward into one of the said people. Two sets of arms had shot out to catch him, so, okay, maybe there were two people.
He blinked sleepily, one of the voices strangely familiar.
"Hello," said October, and then realized who was in front of him - or rather, who was behind the woman currently clutching him.
"Brie?" he said, his eyes widening - and he struggled to his feet again, legs feeling unsteady. "Wait. Am I still - where am I, exactly?"

With Molly's aid, they were at least able to prevent October from crashing to the ground, and possibly injuring himself.
Still slightly awestruck of what she had just witnessed, and being reunited with her faction lead, Brie offered a warm smile to the groggy October, holding back a small snicker when Molly patted the man's cheek. "You're always sleeping in weird places, huh?"
Upon her name being spoken, Brie knelt down beside them both. "We're on an island. I'm not sure when or how, but we were rescued and brought here. To uh.. Dayusss E- I can't remember the name.." Though, when she said 'we' she wasn't entirely sure who all that entailed. After all, so far October was the only person from their group she had yet seen. For all she knew everyone else may have already perished along the way. But that was a worst case scenario, and their faction was known to be resourceful as well as careful. There was a chance that most of them may yet still live.
"I'm glad you're okay! Er- um.. he will be okay, right?" She asked Molly, questioning if these pods may have any side effects they may be unaware of.

Molly couldn't help but just blink as she listened to the two for a moment, also as she fretted over the newly awakened sleeper. Rescued and...brought here? She blinked, her brows furrowing in thought. As October moved up to his feet, Molly slowly relinquished her hold on him, but kept a firm and warm hand on his elbow to help keep him sturdy. "Oh, right!" She replied, her eyes going wide, and she cast a smile at Brie and October. "He'll be fine! No worries! Sleepers always don't feel so well when they wake up. Dizzy and nauseous sometimes, but it fades! AH! Yes!" She straightened up a bit more, ready to give her spiel, despite the fact it'd been forever since she gave one, and she didn't have her note cards. "Welcome to Deus Ex Machina! You're both on an island which is located in the Bermuda Triangle--pretty neat, right? It really explains all those stories about planes and ships sinking here---oh, right." She blushed. "Sorry! Back on track, um---you're here to fight the shadows and the monsters that plague the world and to make it a better place for everyone else, with the aid of a companion as well!" She paused for a moment. "....Um....if any of you have any questions, please feel free to ask!" She beamed at both of them.

October was still trying to figure out why Brie was even here. Not that he didn't want to see her, because he was actually quite glad that she was; but he was still hazy on the details as to where exactly he was and what exactly was going on.
Details slowly began fizzling their way into October's confused mind.
"An island," he repeated, frowning slightly, and he gripped the young woman's shoulder momentarily as he straightened, until he was able to stand on his own without toppling over. Taking a deep breath, he tugged idly at the bandanna around his neck, grateful it was still there, and gave the two women a sleepy, bemused look.
"We're on an island in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle?" he asked. "To fight...shadows, uh..."
October gave Brie a questioning look, head tilted to the side.
"So...we're not in Kansas Canada anymore..?"

Relieved my Molly's answer regarding October's health, Brie made a mental note to keep an eye on him. Just to be safe.
Deus Ex! That was the name! Though, the location of the island was definitely news to her! "Bermuda Triangle? Really?" She had heard of stories of the Bermuda triangle- on how people would go missing when enturing through. If what Molly was saying, then that was mystery solved. Aside from that, she wasn't quite sure what to make of the shadows, and other creatures mentioned. She accepted their offer to join, so that she may help in fighting the undying, but she hadn't really considered what else was out there.
Offering a meek grin in resonse to October's question, the red head shook her head. "'fraid not." Far from it apparently. Turning her attention to Molly again, she decided to take her up on the offer and ask her a question.
"So, what do we do now that we're here? I know we're here help fight, but I'm not exactly sure what all that entails."

"Uh." There was a long and very awkward pause as Molly stared at both of them like a deer in the headlights. Almost four years here, a senior hunter, and still not good at dishing out objectives and telling someone what to do next. She stared and stared and stared before something finally hit her. "Oh! Both of you don't have coats!" Well, obviously October didn't, because he literally just woke up, but Brie had been up for a while, and still didn't have a coat! Molly peered at Brie in specific for a moment, trying to see if she had gotten her partner yet---but with all the different forms totems took, it was really hard to tell. "Ummm....I know you haven't---um, Ocotober, was it?--been to the weapon's cove yet, but Brie?" Molly tilted her head. "Have you been to the weapon's cove?"

At the very least, he wouldn't be lonely, October thought. But his mind had also gone to the others in the apartments, wondering whether or not any of them had been rescued as well. He ran an absent hand through his hair, the expression in his eyes dimming somewhat.
No. He wasn't going to think of that.
"Coats?" October said blankly, grasping onto the first word that he thought of, because his mind felt hazy and unclear. "Uh. No. What's a weapon's cove?"
He looked sideways at Brie, as though somehow she would know.
