Talents/Skills/Powers

As the daughter of Captain America, the Super-Soldier Serum (SSS) metabolized and enhanced all of Tanya's bodily functions to the peak of human potential; she is not simply at the peak of what a human can be now, but the very epitome of what humanity may eventually become as a species. It's debatable whether this means she's actually artificially enhanced, because the SSS was passed down to her through genetics. As she is not fully grown, what is stated here is subject to change as she reaches adulthood.

Peak Human Physiology: Tanya has no strictly superhuman powers, although as a result of the Super Soldier Serum being passed to her through genetics, she was born as a "perfect" specimen of human development and conditioning. Tanya is as intelligent, strong, fast, agile, and durable as it is possible for a human female of her age to be without being considered superhuman. Although the SSS is definite and cannot be removed from her being, she currently maintains an overall healthy lifestyle including a regular exercise regimen and a balanced diet, even though she doesn't need to.

Peak Human Strength: Tanya's strength is at the very peak of human potential for a female of her height, weight, and age; she can currently lift up about 300 pounds on average, and on occasion has gone to about 600.

Peak Human Speed: Tanya can run at speeds of up to approximately 30 miles per hour, and is capable of approaching fifty when under duress.

Peak Human Stamina: Tanya's body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing chemicals in her muscles, granting her exceptional endurance and lung capacity. She can exert herself at peak capacity for several hours without rest and before showing any signs of fatigue; Of course, she always gets top marks in her PE classes.

Peak Human Agility: Tanya's agility is greater than that of an Olympic gold medalist. She can coordinate her body with near-superhuman balance, flexibility, and dexterity surpassing any average human. She also has the ability to leap 15 yards out in a single bound and 10 feet into the air without a running start.

Peak Human Reflexes: Tanya's reflexes border on superhuman level. Her reaction speed is 20 kph, which makes it possible for her to dodge gunfire even in point blank range from multiple gunners at the same time.

Peak Human Durability: Her bones and muscles are denser and harder than normal, to the highest human potential, which makes her very durable compared to a normal human. She is durable enough to the point that if a person beats her with a thick wooden stick, the stick would eventually break, while Tanya would be unharmed.

Peak Human Healing: Tanya's healing speed and efficiency is at the highest limits of human potential, which means she can heal faster than most humans. The white blood cells (WBCs) and the SSS in her body are efficient enough to fight off any microbe, foreign body and other contaminants from her body, keeping her healthy and immune to most if not all infections, diseases and disorders. Also, Tanya cannot become intoxicated by alcohol, drugs, or impurities in the air, and is immune to terrestrial diseases. She is also highly resistant to hypnosis or gases that could limit her focus.

Peak Human Mental Process: Tanya's mental performance has been greatly enhanced, allowing her mind to operate in the most efficient and rapid manner possible, giving her a genius-level intellect. She doesn't have the advanced tactical and strategic training that Steve has, but she is still more than capable of reacting to changing situations on the fly and has been encouraged to utilize her mental capability as much as possible, which is why she, like her older brother, gets perfect grades in school. Like her father and brother, Tanya also has eidetic memory, and therefore never forgets anything she encounters, having perfect recall.

Peak Human Senses: Tanya's senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch are at the highest possible limits of human potential.

Peak Human Aging: The SSS dramatically slows Tanya's aging due to extensively healthy cells. This has not been shown as she's still growing up, but once she is fully matured she will seem to stop aging afterward.

Martial Arts Mastery: Thanks to nearly ten years of training, including more than a full year under her father's tutelage, Tanya is a superb hand-to-hand/melee combatant, equivalent in ability to Tim Drake during his time as Robin.

Gymnastics/Acrobatics: A decade of gymnastics training, coupled with Tanya's naturally enhanced balance and agility, make her a gymnast to rival characters like Nightwing.

Leadership: Tanya's time as the leader of the Young Avengers of her reality has revealed her to be a skilled tactician and strategist despite not having military training like her father, and her ability to keep a group of dysfunctional, squabbling teens together and united can't be overstated.

Indomitable Will: Tanya is a remarkably strong-willed person. She does not have a fear of her own death and is perfectly willing to sacrifice her life to protect others if she has to. She is therefore able to resist incredible amounts of pain in combat and keep going, while high doses of drugs and toxins don't affect her much, in part due to her physiology. Even her crippling fear of spiders is able to be overcome, at least temporarily, if the situation is dire enough.

Marksmanship: Tanya is highly skilled with throwing projectile weapons like her synthetic diamonds. She is also highly accurate with firearms, but does not use them as Diamondback, preferring less lethal means.

Weapons Proficiency: Though she rarely uses melee weapons in combat, her training with Steve allowed Tanya to become highly capable with a number of weapons, including swords, staves, nunchaku, tonfa, and even firearms.

Multilingual: Due to how Tanya's mind works at an accelerated rate, she has been able to very quickly learn, and comprehend, a variety of languages apart from English: She currently is fluent in Spanish, French, German, Russian, Latin, and Mandarin Chinese, and is currently learning Korean.

Vehicular driver: Tanya has been taught how to drive cars and motorcycles, and effectively taught herself how to pilot a Quinjet.

Background Story: A resident of Earth-9199, Tanya is the second child of Steve Rogers and Rachel Leighton-Rogers, the younger sister of Anthony Rogers, and elder sister of twin Chris and Ian Rogers, born on March 17th, 1999. Growing up, she was quite close to all three members of her family, and idolized her father for all of his heroic deeds. Throughout her life, Tanya repeatedly asserted that she wished to one day become a superhero like her parents, but her father in particular was very concerned about her safety, and so she was refused each time, much to her frustration.

Tanya's uncanny, Serum-enhanced intelligence manifested at an early age; by the time she was six, she managed to shrewdly convince her parents to sign her up for daily classes, such as martial arts and gymnastics. She told them this was for her to get out and meet people, but this was only half-true; the real reason was that she wished to prepare herself to one day become a superhero, and if her parents weren't going to teach her then she'd make sure she got the training somehow.

By the time she was twelve, Tanya decided that she had had enough of being babied and, after a lot of persistence on her part, she managed to convince her father to train her. As AJ had graduated high school by this time and was looking into college, and as Steve had already trained him to the best of his considerable ability, she reasoned that he no longer had an excuse not to take her in as a sidekick. Using this logic, Tanya managed to get her father to take her in for training, on several conditions: Namely that she be trained by him for at least a year prior to actually going out to fight crime, and also that once her training was complete, she swore to only do such work on weekends as she still had school during the week. Tanya found these terms acceptable.

So, for a full year, Tanya was trained by her father, and was quite happy with doing so. When the year-long training ended and Tanya was finally allowed to go out as a hero for the first time, she decided to emulate her mother, taking the code-name Diamondback, wearing a costume similar to her mother's, and using the diamond-shaped projectiles that Rachel had been known to use during her days as a crime-fighter. She started out as her father's sidekick in 2012, and has remained an off-and-on partner of her father since then.

In late 2012, Tanya encountered a crashed Kree ship that housed a young "Pink" Kree known as Rell-Xi. Tanya immediately befriended the alien girl, who was around her own age, and after Rell was taken in by Carol Danvers, she began attending PS 341 with Tanya, and later Franklin Roosevelt High School in Brooklyn. In early 2013, Tanya gave her status as a superhero to a classmate, Miles Grey, who had accidentally shown his own mutant powers when walking home from school with her. Tanya told the frightened Miles that he needn't be afraid of his abilities or status as a mutant, and then told him of her identity as Diamondback and offered to train him as best she could to defend himself. These encounters gave Tanya an idea to create a new team of teenaged heroes, which she initially kept secret to everyone except her "sister", Billie Stark.

This team of teen heroes, called the Young Avengers, first saw action in 2013 when Tanya was just fourteen years old, and for the past two years she has led the group admirably. She is currently in her junior year of high school, and well on her way to eventually graduating with honors. But this has currently been stalled as Tanya was thrust into the MvDC universe, landing in a strange cave...
