Elvira had a plan, and when she had a plan, nothing could stop her from doing that plan. Well, most of the time at least. Cygnus had told her to call him if she ever needed help…so maybe if she texted saying…something was wrong he would come to help…but the bad part was there was nothing wrong so…
But her attack had made Newgrange so…happy, so clearly if she used it on Cygnus, he would be happy too, so she had to at least try to make the boy happier.
The chibi let her legs swing as she sat on the bench, a text open to the other chibi. Finally she figured out something to say, so away went her thumbs, typing out the message. Quote: Hey Cygnus! You told me to call if I needed help with anything, and I think I could use some help with my magic! My aim is really terrible, and I think you could help me work on it, would you like to come out to the park tonight? I really would appreciate it, and if you want to practice your magic with me you can! I would love to help you in return! Hope to see you soon! -Elvira There. That was good enough…at least she hoped it was.
All she could do was wait…
Well, that and send another quick text. Quote: By the way, I’m at the park now so…see you soon! He had to come now, right?

Cygnus looked at his phone and frowned at it seriously, taking his time to read the long text she had sent him. He was not expecting anyone to actually contact him, let alone that girl he had spent most of their initial meeting insulting.
She wanted to use magic?
He was not good with his magic. He did not really understand it, and was pretty sure without any of that knowledge that it was terrible. He did not need any facts to back that up: what kind of magic would a senshi of fear really have? okay, yes, he had tried it before but it was... beyond him.
But it would be cool to find out he had awesome magic after all... and could be a really good hero... instead of the lame-o he was turning out to be.
Rolling his eyes profoundly, though there was no one there to see his theatrics, he moved toward the park and soon enough he spotted her sitting on the bench. He folded his arms over his chest, already pouting as he got closer.
"I was already close so..." he said, by way of defending his presence there, and the fact that he had actually answered her text by showing up.

There were literally no words to describe the feeling of satisfaction and joy at seeing Cygnus walk up and hearing his surly excuse for coming. Elvira jumped off the bench, nodding, trying not to look too excited, but unable to keep a big grin from forming on her face.
“Well, I’m glad you came, it makes me pretty happy that you meant what you said about coming to help me out!” There. That was good, and not too eager…and it totally put it all back on him…so that was cool.
“I was practicing my attack on my brother the other day, and I was pretty terrible at actually hitting him…you know, unless he was standing still and not moving…or moving into my attack so…I really could use help with someone just letting me try to use it on them…because I just want to be able to use it when it counts, you know? And it’s better to be able to practice when you have the chance, because if you’re up against someone…you never know if it’ll hit! I got lucky the other day, and my attack actually stopped a really bad guy…so um…attacks are important. Like I said, you can practice on me too!”
Phew. That was a lot of talking in a short amount of time. Why hadn’t she brought some water?

Cygnus looked at her as if she were speaking a foreign language. He made someone happy? That certainly never happened before, and he was not sure what to do with the news... or the resulting warm feeling in his gut.
Was he going to throw up?
"Alright, well, if you want to practice magic that's fine. I dunno how useful it will be or whatever. If you're not good at it, maybe you're just not... good at it. I'm not going to waste a lot of time trying to figure it out for you!"
He frowned, hands now shoved into the pockets of his jean-overall-like fuku.
"So what is your magic supposed to do, anyway? What are you the senshi of?" Had she told him before? He had only just managed to remember her name. Or at least that was what he told himself, and would tell her if she asked. Really, he had been very excited to see her text him, and was hiding his extreme nervousness as best as he could.

“I’m the senshi of Poinsettias, and…from what I’ve seen…my magic…” Elvira hesitated, trying to choose her words carefully. “I mean, it’s useful, I think. Sort of. It doesn’t hurt anyone, so don’t worry about that…what…um…what is your magic like? What are you the senshi of?”
The chibi fiddled with the ends of her scarf and looked at the boy. She didn’t want to out and out say she was doing all this just to see if he was any better when he was happy…and maybe if she knew his sphere…she could understand him better…after all, maybe that was a reflection of who you really were. So…she was a flower. That was cool, she supposed.
There could be worse things to be. Like poop.

"Fear."
He gave her a look, though he was trying very hard to look tough and completely failing to do so. Being dressed as a little scarecrow was probably not helping his case. There was very little actually scary about him, and he was pretty sure he had gotten his sphere from... well.
The universe being a jerk and teasing him.
He sighed, scratching at this buzz-cut short hair for a moment before relenting a bit.
"Alright, that's fine. Let's do this magic thing, then. What do you want me to do? Just stand here and let you use your magic, or should I move, or what?" He was not sure how his magic worked, either, as far as moving or non-moving targets went. It would actually be useful to learn which one was easier for him, in case he did get stuck in a battle.

“Oh!” That wasn’t what she had been expecting…she was thinking maybe corn or crows or…straw, even…but fear? Oh that could be kind of…well, scary.
“Um…How about you stand there first, and I’ll use my magic, then you can use yours on me, and then you can move around and give me a moving target to try to attack…and then I can do the same! I think that sounds pretty fair, don’t you?”
She didn’t even wait for an answer…clearly it was fair. Drawing in a breath, Elvira closed her eyes, getting ready once again to use her magic. Maybe if she kept using it…it would get easier. But then again, maybe it wouldn’t…
“Elvira Wreath!” The chibi flung her hands out towards Cygnus, hoping the wreath of energy poinsettias hit him…like they were supposed to.Lithiasaur Sailor Elvira holds her hands together and says the name of her attack, then spreads the hands apart in a circle formation, creating a wreath of energy poinsettias. She flings these at an opponent and if they hit the/a target, the/a target will suddenly appear to be wearing a wreath of the energy poinsettias and a feeling of happiness will overtake them, lasting ten seconds. The attack can be used three times per battle.

Cygnus closed his eyes when her energy hit him, thinking it was going to hurt and she had been lying to him the whole time. Instead, some silly looking energy flowers settled around his neck and shoulders, and he looked at them in surprise.
But it felt... okay.
Actually, he felt pretty good.
He looked at her, surprised. What was this attack supposed to do? Well, it didn't really matter, because it looked surprisingly good and he was feeling pretty okay with everything all of a sudden!
"Oh, hey. What does this do? I feel... I mean. I guess this is okay. It's not an attack, though, is it? Oh, hey, we could hang out after this if you want? Do you want to? I feel like hanging out and getting to know you a bit! If you wanted to be friends. I don't... have many... friends."
And then the feeling faded, and he blinked, looking sadly down at himself as the little flowers went away. He looked at her, confused, then realized he had embarrassed himself and turned a bright red color.
"I mean...!"

Elvira was pretty excited that her attack worked…and that was…awesome. Of course he hadn’t been moving so maybe that was the reason…but then…he looked so happy too! This was so beyond awesome…she made people…happy? How amazing was that.
“I mean what? I think I’d love to be your friend and if you want to hang out after this, I would love that too!”
So maybe she had been just a little dishonest about this whole thing…but it had been for the best, right? Now she had a new friend, right? Even though he looked all embarrassed...he had said it, and she had agreed, so clearly the deal was sealed and they were friends. No take backs!
“It’s your turn, Cygnus! Try out your magic on me! I’ll stand real still, so have at it, I’m ready!”

Orangeish Sherbert Sailor Scout Attack: Feel My Fear Cygnus creates a cloud of smoke that evaporates in the air. The area around him becomes infected with this gas, which makes a person's body react like it is experiencing a strong dose of fear. The effect radius is immediately around Cygnus, branching out to about five feet in any direction, and lingers in the air for ten seconds before it vanishes. If breathed in, the effects of the gas last for up to twenty seconds. Cygnus frowned at her, not sure how to feel. He missed the feeling of his burst of happiness, that was for sure. It was strange to have been made to feel it, though, and he understood that it was because of her attack and not... like... honest emotion on his part.
Though he had said some things he was trying to keep quiet, so he could keep up his general facade of being a grump...
"Uh. Well. Okay," he mumbled, voice barely audible beyond a bunch of growly noises.
Taking a slow breath, he focused on his magic like he was told to, though he felt a tight pinch of anxiety in his chest. This magic was not good, he knew that innately. What if he hurt her? What if it did something bad? The more he worried about it, the worse he felt. But he held up his hands, mimicking her pose without really thinking about it, and yelled his attack name.
"Feel My Fear!!"

Elvira watched him, nodding encouragingly. This was good. This was important. This was just practice. She kept a smile on her face as he said his attack, and blinked as what looked like smoke formed around him. Well, that was different than hers! How cool! How…
As she drew in a breath, the chibi’s eyes grew wide and she began to tremble. A small scream came out of her throat and her hands moved to cover her eyes, knees shaking now to the point that she ended up sinking to the ground.
What was going on? This wasn’t…this wasn’t anything! But she couldn’t stop shaking. “Wh-what did you do?” The words were no more than a whimper, with another small yelp of fear making its way out of her mouth a moment later.

Cygnus took a step back, watching the smoke and remembering it from the last time he used it. It did not seem to have any kind of effect on him, but he quickly saw what it did to Elvira. He had not tried it on someone his own size before, another Chibi for instance, and he watched her crumple.
She was scared. Very, very scared. And he was the one that did it to her.
While it occurred to him distantly that this magic could be useful in an actual fight, and at least distract an enemy enough for him to either get in a good attack or run the hell away as needed, it troubled him to see what it could do to people on his team. People who could have been, if he had not messed it up, his friends.
"I... I didn't... I didn't mean to! I didn't!"
He felt his own panic rising, tears stinging his eyes, and before the smoke even fully faded from the air he was turning and running as fast as his little legs could carry him.

A few seconds later and Elvira managed to stand again. That had been…a really good attack…and it wasn’t…wow…but that was kind of…
Well. Scary.
She glanced around for the other chibi, frowning slightly. “C-cygnus?” He was gone…and she was alone and…and she was really sad because of that…
Slowly the chibi headed home, fully intent on sending the boy another text, telling him that everything was okay and she was okay and she still wanted to hang out…but when she got home, all she could do was land face first in bed, clinging to a pillow.
…Maybe next time she told another senshi to attack her…she would ask what their attacks did first…that sounded a lot easier…
