He severely regretted coming home. Sergei didn't think he would get any breaks now. With this..knighthood that Polaris had explained to him, and school starting.
Plus he was pretty sure he saw Olga almost everywhere he went. He has looking over his shoulder. It was tiring.
Today though, was most likely the most calmest of the days. He was sitting in the cafeteria of DCU, with a book opened to the newly assigned criminology reading and was thumbing through the text.
Alone. In the corner. Like he should be.

Every breath you take Every move you make Every bond you break Every step you take I'll be watching you was pretty much Olga's theme song when it came to SergeiAlone--- Until Olga appeared to destroy everything Sergei held dear and sacred. She ate at the cafeteria a decent amount, because scholarship helped, and even across the other side, with a tray in hand, she could spot Sergei in his corner. Like a beacon of light in the dark cold ocean. Or maybe he was the dark cold beacon in an ocean of light. HMMM. It didn't matter, the point was she could pick him out a mile away. How awesome he was here! Olga bounded over, and her grin was nearly splitting her face. There was no hesitation as she plopped into the seat directly across from him, and set down her tray. "Heeey, Sergei!" She greeted happily. "How are classes?"

There was little Sergei asked in the world. Perhaps a little was too much at all? He just wanted something small. Quiet. His. Alone.
He already felt his apartment was compromised. Noel was a small comfort and joy. His night life was practically taken over by the mysterious knighthood that he had achieved. His days? School.
It was his one reprieve.
and here...and here she was. Again. At his table, beaming a smile at him. He quietly shut his book, leaned back and contemplated what went wrong? Where had this started? What was the root of this problem he needed to solve?
"Vhat are doing here, Olga," It was a statement. Not a question.

"Eeeeeeating?" Olga offered, brows raised and smiling still. That may have been a bit of a smart a** answer. She took her bottle of tropical fruit juice off her tray and uncapped it. "Or about to! Plus talking to you." She shot him a brief fox eyed grin, and glanced down at the text book he had closed. "But if you meant at DCU, it's because I'm a student here, too! Remember?" She gestured to his book with a tilt of her head. "How are the criminology classes?"

"I can see that Olga." Sergei stared at Olga, who was sitting across from him. Sitting across from him. Still.
He thought about leaving. But she'd follow. And where would he escape too? She probably knew more about the campus then himself?
"No, I did not remember. You did not tell me." He pretended that he didn't know, but really he had forgot. As he was trying to forget most things about her. if he did not know, then he did not care.
"It is fine." He took a bite of his food.
And that was it for the words.

Olga took a swig of her juice, but a brow arched high as she stared at him. "Uh..." Her voice echoed a bit into the bottle, and she capped it and put it back on the tray. "But I did tell you." She blinked. "Because we talked about maybe seeing each other around campus." Which they were now. Very delightful (for Olga)! "...Just fine?" Olga tilted her head, and then took the granny smith apple off her tray and took a bite out of it. She chewed on it quietly as she stared at the young man across from her, swallowed, and then smiled. "But it's your passion, yeah? Nadia said you want to go on to become a police officer after...so I'd hope it'd be more than fine! After all, if it's your passion you should love it, right?" She grinned a bit. "Do you attend the police academy after you finish your degree, or can you start during?" It's okay. Olga had more than enough words for the both of them. For both of their lifetimes.

"I apologize. I do not remember." He grumbled, crossing his arms. It was not a pout but it suspiciously looked like one. A stubborn pout if you well. A stubborn stoic pout.
"It is fine. It is school. Do you enjoy school?" He had. He enjoyed the quiet schoolings of both his russian and american teachers. Turtoring as well.
His mind blanked and then he scowled. A small sound of grief emitting from that same face.
"Nadia tells you many things, does she not?" Not he was REALLY pouting, looking off to the side. He didn't like how much Olga knew of him, but he knew nothing of her. Not that he wanted too, but he felt like there was a rug under him and it was slowly being pulled out of his feet.
It was not good.
"I do." He grumbled again and narrowed his eyes. "I will go to police academy after a year of criminology and sociology." He paused, "Police academy does not require schooling, but I thought it best, after being on zhip for so long." he scowled again.

She cheerfully waved off his apology with a hand, and took another bite of her apple. Wait a minute was he...? No...he couldn't be...pouting? Olga nodded her head enthusiastically, waiting until she swallowed her bite before answering. "Oh, I love it! It's amazing to be finally learning about stuff I want to do, instead of all the general ed shenanigans back in high school. All the professors are so knowledgeable! I'm stoked this is going to be the next four years!" It was here her grin turned a tad sheepish though, but she also couldn't help but internally gush. Holy cannoli--- he was pouting. Not only was it incredibly endearing, but it was incredibly adorable--- be still her heart. "Yeah---she does---Three years of pen palling!" Because their pen palling had also turned into some kind of matchmaking game show all starting from a joke. Olga knew a handful of things about each of Nadia's brothers (probably way more than what was considered comfortable for one who hadn't met any of them in person yet---barring Sergei). But, of course, she knew a ton about Sergei---Also had a lot of pictures--- Insert internal dreamy sigh here. Olga nodded as she listened. "That seems really smart! So you're only going to be in school for a year---or you're going to take classes for a year and then enter the academy while still attending school?" Maybe a way to ease back into it, too? After being in the Navy. "What made you decide to want to become a police officer?" She asked curiously, because gasp that was something she didn't know.

He was very much pouting.
So hard.
God she talked a lot. Why couldn't she simply just say a few words. He could communicate just fine without all the word filling in his sentences. His scowl only deepened.
and a small fog of guilt was settling in because she was just being friendly.
TOO FRIENDLY THOUGH.
"Because it is the closest to becoming an officer like on the navy." He grumbled. "How much did Nadia tell you." He asked again, wondering what it was his sister wrote to this woman. How much of his life did she know already?
Was that why she always seeked him out?

She couldn't handle his pouting. It took everything she had to not be writhing like a fangirl at cute feel gifs on Tumblr. Everything. "Uh huh..." She waited for him to elaborate more on that, because that was kind of a vague answer--so she quickly followed it up. "What made you want to join the Navy, then?" As he asked her a question though, Olga's cheeks turned a bit pink and she coughed. "Um---" All the things. Like what he got for his first birthday to knowing that he had had two known girlfriends--one in high school and one in basic training. "Just a---few things---here and there----" Suddenly she was looking out the window, kinda cursing the fact she wasn't built for lying. "Yanno---recent stuff---" Lies. She also took some more bites of her apple, because eating was a good reason not to talk.

"Because it offered school, job and housing all in one." he rose a brow, the first real and straight answer. "It was also a way, to travel world. Zee the Zights." He waved his hand. "I was young and Stupid." But he had learned, and he was thankful for that. The navy was and always would be, the second family. The second home. The place he could go if all else failed.
But his eyes narrowed and she was a terrible liar. Because of this, he stood up slowly and gathered his things.
"You are terrible liar, Olga." He commented and then started to walk away. "I do not have time for games and lies."

"Well...that's fair!" Hmm. That seemed like such a...surface level answer. Like she'd been expecting more...was there more!? "...But you can't exactly travel if you're a police officer, yeah?" "Eh!?" She whipped her head around, panicking already at seeing him up and moving. Nooo! She wanted to keep talking to him---but she also didn't want to leave her food. It was good food. She looked from Sergei to her tray and back again, before she just opened up her messenger bag and comically swept all of her food off of her tray and into it with an arm. She felt bad leaving her tray on the table, but it was leave it or lose track of Sergei. She jogged a bit to catch up to him, and leaned forward a bit to peer up at him, her hands behind her back. "That's a bit of an unfair double standard there, yanno? I didn't get up and walk away from you when you told me a lie." And she hadn't exactly been lying. She just hadn't told him the entire truth. Actually, he'd probably would have walked away too, if she had told him Nadia told her A LOT.

There was a slight smugness that Olga had to give up SOMETHING to continue dealing with him, and Sergei knew it. She knew so much about him, that he didn't have to feel guilty for how he acted.
"I didn't lie." He gruffed, shifted his back pack around and then looked at her from the corner of his eyes. "No you did not, You vould not anyways. You have, what is word..." He mulled over it, "Fixation on me. Do not understand, vill not try too." He huffed again and then turned.
It was a quiet walk for few minutes before he spoke again.
"It was natural. From navy to Police officer. have seen Captain america? It is a lot like that. Police is uniform and duty. It is like, I did not leave home. It is vhat I know."

"You did." She smiled at him. "You said I didn't tell you, but I did. It's one thing if you only said you didn't remember, but you didn't just say that." Olga really did want to protest the 'fixation' thing but---well. She couldn't lie. She slapped a hand over her mouth briefly and glanced to the side. Inwardly she was crying though. Was it that obvious? She totally thought she was being chill about it. Like...so chill. "I---" She was going to try and save that statement. Hhngh. She needed to try! "It's just---" Her cheeks turned a bit red, and she just blurted it out. "Have you ever known someone who was just really cool? Like---you really admired them and you just really wanted to---" She paused for a moment, before finishing. "Be their friend." ...Gosh she felt really lame. Thought she sounded lame too, but that was the truth. Er...well....a portion of it. She was definitely leaving out the part where she was crushing on him bad because she thought he was really cool and a whole bunch of other amazing qualities plus washboard abs. Definitely. "Y-yeah! I have...have you?" She seemed kind of surprised, but delighted to think that he was into Marvel movies too. "So you...feel right when you have a duty to uphold?"

He narrowed his eyes at her. Smart. Too Smart.
"I've no idea what you speak of." He moved a little bit faster now, ignoring her /blushing/ and her /fidgetting/. It was so awkward and he had no handle on women and their behaviors. Ever.
"No." Because Sergei didn't get along with others. He did not idolize anyone. He just fell in duty to whoever had the highest clearance and went from there.
"I like Captain America." He scowled, "He is true solider. Vants best for country. Vants to serve. That is what a solider has always done." He scowled again.
"Vhy do you care? It doesn't concern you." He was getting grumpier with her constant badgering. Why did he have to break it down for her? It was a simple answer for her very simple question.
