Beta Aquarium is making a valiant attempt to adjust our prices to better reflect the current Gaian Economy/Currency Update in a way that's not only fair to the colorists, but also the customers. Staff is very very bad about underpricing themselves and the Owner isn't available to smack business sense into them. Therefore, we are turning to you, the customers to help us out!

Current Goals
- keep everything affordable, the lower cost items with little effort and the higher cost items with fair amount of effort
- keep pricing simple and easy to estimate
- keep highest base price (breedable se) UNDER 500k platinum?
- permanently equate currency/GC/work values
- anytimes/letters/cash shop items folded into General Bribery with limited slots (offer more, get more in one go!)
- equate Cash Shop Items to their original GC value, unless the GC to currency conversion vs marketplace prices are WAY off
-- We'll figure out how off is too off and what to do once we get bases sorted

Things to Keep in Mind
- 40% of the shop functions on templated lineart of simple, solid quality (egg & fish)
- 40% of the shop functions on templated lineart of varying complexity (all current evolves)
- 20% of the shop functions on new lineart specially edited/custom drawn/templated (new ses)
- shop's main prices have always been on the low end for B/C (customs at 10k gold vs. 100k gold 2015)
- gold/plat is very easy to come by now, even without resorting to Gaia Cash and playing the Marketplace
- not looking to price anything in astronomical; just want to pay colorists/lineartists a fairer price in current economy

THE POLL HAS SPOKEN!

With a 9 to 4 win (because let's face it, the Trial Prices and Range 2 were practically the same), we're going with the lower end pricing!

What does this mean?
It means that the temporary prices the staff have been using aren't going to change by a whole lot, if at all. The new proposed pricing schedule is under the spoiler tag/in above post. Prices are shown in Gold and Plat, and in Gaia Cash where applicable.



Basically Aryn took the original Trial Prices and dropped a zero to get our Temporary Prices and the Prices for the sheet above.

So what's changing?
At a quick glance, getting a Common SE is going up by 50 Plat. Everything available in our shop now has a price attached to it (unless Aryn missed a category - plz let her know if so!). We've got GC prices for bribery and SE stuff, and a conversion table for your convenience (GC/Plat/Gold/Beta Work).

Are these the OFFICIAL new Prices?
Not quite yet, even though not a lot is changing. We've got some minor tweaking to do, but if anything changes at this point it'll be going down, not up.

EX: The Raffle Ticket Price listed has a range of 1-10 plat. Originally, the new price was going to be 10 plat, but the 1 plat price for Meegs' V-day event went so well that it's up for consideration.

These prices have been preemptively edited in on the front page, and across the appropriate guild threads; Panda and Meegs will update their work threads at their leisure or after everything's been officially confirmed as good. If any changes are needed, all necessary pages will be adjusted again.
