[ The cage ]: You come across what can only be explained as a horrifically large cage, enough to contain hundreds of humans. You see it in the air, as you are no longer fully human, the lingering memories of those who had been trapped inside. They echo in the area as shapes and voices, and you feel only a great sadness that they were so incomplete.
(Roll 1d4 if you wish to look around - OPTIONAL - and match your dice roll to the results below. You can roll as much as you'd like!)

1. You come across a man in grey. His echo resonates as he shakes his head. "I volunteered because I expected to succeed. I failed. I understand now, it is because I had not accepted it when it was there in the first place. This is only my fault."
2. You come across a woman in grey. Her echo resonates. "I rejected it because this was not our organization's true intentions. This was originally not the knowledge we sought and the power was not something we should have handled in the first place. We once had good causes. We wanted to save people. We wanted to show the world that anyone could have helped, that everyone had a purpose."
3. You come across a man in grey. His echo resonates. "-- Means the serpent that consumes itself. We are the wildfire that comes from centuries of inactivity. The -- knew long ago all this knowledge and they kept it to themselves. They could have shared all of this in the world, they could have given back to humans but instead, they thought they were better than us. This is our trump card against them."
4. You come across a child wearing a mask. He is dressed entirely in green foliage. "It is true, these are the children who did not make it to Neverland. Not all can join us in this final voyage. We were never meant to harm any, it is the rejection that hurts the most. When all understand us, then we can finally rest. This is our legacy.." After he speaks this, he immediately disappears.

Mia felt very tired - he was left to his own devices again, wandering to another room as there was really no one to talk to or anything to really do, except wait for the inevitable.
Upon reaching another room, Mia came across a horrifically large cage, enough to hold hundreds of human, just floating in the air... since he was no longer human, the lingering memories of those that had been trapped inside echoed in the area as shapes and voices, and he felt a great sadness descend upon his mind that they were left incomplete.
Was there even a chance that they would join with that which was the legacy?
Mia didn't know, but the more he stared into the cage, the more he realized that a singular voice was speaking to him, and him alone. It materialized almost in his mind, a woman in grey with a resonating echo that was delivered straight into his mind.
"I rejected it because this was not our organization's true intentions. This was originally not the knowledge we sought and the power was not something we should have handled in the first place." Her arms spread apart, face ashen as she stared at the ground where he stood. "We once had good causes. We wanted to save people... we wanted to show the world that anyone could have helped, that everyone had a purpose."
They were all good intentions, Mia had to agree, but... the legacy was the legacy. It could be nothing else.
It just was.

Mia now stepped around the cage, his gaze sliding to another inside of it, stopping upon a child wearing a mask. He was dressed entirely in green foliage, each leaf a different kind of leaf, singular in its design yet a part of something whole that made up the outfit.
"It is true, these are the children who did not make it to Neverland." The boy spread his arms out, indicating the other children in the cage that sat, forlorn, most hugging their knees. "Not all can join us in this final voyage. We were never meant to harm any, it is the rejection that hurts the most. When all understand us, then we can finally rest. This is our legacy..."
If the formerly blond man could have blinked or frowned, he would have done so. Instead, he felt a deep sadness that continued from listening to the other echo, wondering why these children couldn't be a part of the legacy he was now a part of. It was everything - it was legacy. Could not everyone join?

Matching the woman in grey he'd seen earlier, Mia's gaze settled on the man in grey, also having a resonating echo.

It seemed that he had started listening to him mid sentence, and couldn't quite make out what the man was talking about, but it was refreshing to hear a different tone in the voice, nonetheless.

The last and final one that spoke out to him was also a man dressed in grey, but this one was different. Broken. As if he'd lost all hope.
The man shook his head as he dropped to his knees, giving up. "I volunteered because I expected to succeed." There was light in his eyes still, but the way his body crumpled deceived his meaning; had he truly given up?
"I failed. I understand now, it is because I had not accepted it when it was there in the first place. This is only my fault."
Stepping back to ponder everything, Mia scratched his arm with a free hand, more out of habit than it actually itching. The first human had been clear, but the last three had seemed so... lost.
Shaking his head and dismissing all thoughts, Mia - for the first time in his life - didn't listen to the voices in his head, or the warning bells, or the annoying whistles that warned him of everything.
He returned to the main center of the vines, dismissing all former thoughts or trails of thoughts that would have become something else.
He was legend.
That was all that needed to be known.
