After being surrounded by the green aura, Ellie felt... Good! Good enough now to go search for the mouse shadow! She had to find out if it was ok... It helped her so much... And hey, maybe she might find some adventure along the way! And so, after doing a bit of much needed hair brushing and deodorizing, Ellie grabs her fishing pole, her large red bag, and heads out!

Unfortunately... Glowing green... Made it a bit hard to stay out of sight... Ellie had been on her way back to the highway when she was spotted by a rather... nasty looking undead... At first she brandished her Pole towards it, but after thinking on it she decides against it...

She frowns, as the huge infected lumbers her way before backing up a step... She wanted to look for the mouse shadow... And she couldn't do tht if she was knocked out or worse... Brave she was, foolish she wasn't! Usually... That's why, as she turned and ran she couldn't feel too bad about it.

[Fled!]

As Ellie ran, the creature lumbered after her, determined to catch her! Fortunately, Ellie's physical prowess had greatly increased over the course of Day Zero! She was easily able to stay ahead of the large brute and finally finds a nice cave like pile of rubble to hide in!

As the creature passes by, it pauses for a moment as it thought it caught her glow! She holds her breath for the few seconds the creature lingered and releases it with relief as it finally continues on... "P-phew..." she sighs before finally coming out... That was close...

Ellie could hear the creature, and based on the sounds it made it was clearly a horse; but, she couldn't SEE it! Even with the fog curling around it's form idly, it wasn't enough to make out the whole creature!

As she brandishes the pole towards it, the horse creature shorts menacingly before dragging one of it's hooves on the pavement threateningly! Unknowingly to the beast, this visibly moved rubble and told Ellie exactly where it's leg way! "T-there! Ha!" she shouts as she wastes no time in lunging for the, clearly aggressive, beast's leg!

As pole connects with leg, the horse neighs it's fury before smashing it's huge head and neck into her angrily!! "A-ack!" she yelps as she goes flying! Worse yet, as she lands she goes tumbling along the ground before finally crashing into a pile of rubble! "Argh!" she cries before crumpling against the pile in a heap! That... That really hurt... Snorting decisively, the Horse creature nibbles at it's sore leg before limping off... This wasn't over...

Ellie wasn't sure how long she'd been out for, but as she slowly regains consciousness and finally sits up blearily, she found that her head was so longer ringing, and all the wounds she'd obtained were gone... They seemed to be healing worryingly fast... Not that the shy, brown haired girl was complaining or anything. She just found it... Curious...

Eventually, after checking herself over to make sure she really was alright, Ellie gets up, brushes herself off, and grabs the gas can before sighing a bit... The fog was still heavy in the air around her, and she had no idea how long she'd been out... She hoped the Mouse shadow was ok... And hoped dearly that her little 'snooze' hadn't infringed on anything... She had a first aid kit... She should have just patched herself up and got on with it... Finally, Ellie shakes off the disappointment in herself for passing out and moves on. Being down wasn't going to help the mouse shadow... If it was, in fact, in trouble that is... Ellie hoped against hoped that it wasn't...

Lugging around the gas can slowed her down quite a bit and she was seriously thinking about just dropping it... However, it would come to good use as- suddenly, a cracking sound, like something being crunched by something heavy, sounded nearby her! In fact, right behind her! "Eep!" she squeaks in surprise as she whirls around and decks 'something' with her full gas can! The huge lumbering creature staggers backwards from the hit, but unfortunately seemed largely unaffected as it quickly regains it's balance and lurches forwards! The huge two headed creature had apparently seen her glow and gone right for it! How Ellie hadn't heard it coming sooner she didn't know, but it was here now and it caught her off guard!

The only logical thing to do in this situation was run! Ellie wasted no time running after she hit the creature because she knew the gas can wouldn't stop it! Said gas can was also slowing her down a good bit as well! Fortunately, even with being slowed down by her extra weight, Ellie was still out running the creature with relative ease! It was big, but not fast luckily! Eventually, she finds a large enough pile of rubble to hide behind! Quickly, she tucks herself in amongst the rubble as best she could before watching the large brute lumber on past... Luckily, it didn't even seem to notice her as it went stomping on by!

Once she could no longer hear it's heavy footsteps, she carefully comes out and sighs a bit in relief. "P-phew... I-I need to get rid of this g-gas can..." she mumbles to herself as she contemplates going to the Junkyard...

Ellie hadn't gotten all that far from her hiding place when her glow attracted some unwanted attention...

Clip, clop, clip, clop...

She heard it... That ominous sound... Freezing, Ellie slowly turns to look behind her as she hears the familiar sound... A decisive snort, which displaced the fog around it, told the shy brown haired girl that the creature from before was back... "O-oh dear..." she mumbles with wide eyes as she slowly puts down the gas can before turning and holding her pole forwards defensively... She was going to wait this time...

For a long moment, the pare just figuratively eye each other; neither wanting to make the first move... Finally, a furious neigh from the invisible horse prompted action from them both! Jumping into action, Ellie lunges forwards to stab at what she hoped was the horse's leg! It was a leg, and it connected! Neighing loudly in anger, the horse slams it's head into Ellie like before and sends her flying!

"A-ack!" she yelps as once again, she was sent tumbling head over heel before finally crashing into a nearby car! "A-agh!" she half chokes half cries as the breath was knocked right from her!

Ellie tried to get up, she really did... But hitting the car had hurt even worse then the pile of rubble she hit before... She was defenseless in that moment!

As she tried desperately to get up onto her feet, she heard it... the clip, clops of the horse coming closer to her! Was it going to finish the job...? Was this her end...? No! She wouldn't give up! She couldn't just parish here! In determined defiance, Ellie weakly brandishes the pole forwards as if it would help, as if the horse might just poke itself on it or something! What she wasn't expecting was a snort right in front of her that actually seemed the slightest bit amused... The creature was at eye level it seemed and it's snort kicked up a bunch of dust and fog! Coughing a bit from the sudden dust storm, Ellie briefly was able to make out the shape of the creature's head!

For a long moment, the pare just stare at each other... Finally, the massive horse snorts once more before pulling back and leaving... Now, it felt, it was over... As Ellie heard it's retreating hoofsteps, she couldn't help but sigh in relief as she lowers her pole... "P-phew... T-that was w-way to close..." she mumbles to herself as she relaxes against the car... She wanted to get up and bandage herself up... But as she laid there, with head pounding and body aching, she decides to just rest for a while... There was no way she'd be able to properly fix herself up in this state... Maybe if she just rested a while... She'd... Feel... Better...

As she thinks this and closes her eyes for a moment to rest, she quickly goes out like a light...
