[ The grand dining room ]: A beautiful table spans the center of the room, marble tiling mostly in tact. It seems almost surreal to see such a normal human, albeit luxurious, area in the center of this all. There is food on the table, but it is long rotting. It seems someone has set aside some earl grey tea as well.
Picture book page 3
Page 3: Consumed by hunger again, the serpent wandered the world. Whatever it ate would immediately come out of its gashed sides. The oceans and lands ran thick with green, and the humans took pity on the serpent, offering eventually to fill its wounds with leaves and branches.
Leiah's form wandered into the dining room on accident. She was just exploring the place her conciousness would soon call home, still trying to figure out Jeff's words. Did they really have a choice of being here or not? Could they really return to their human form? Another part of her, the newer part of her argued against the side that was trying to doubt and disillusion her from what her perpose will be in the end.
There is no choice. You were brought here to stay...To embrace Creation and all it has to offer. Why would you want to go back just when youre about to reach an enlightement that mortals only dream of?
Leiah frowned but slowly began to agree once more, squelching that rebellious part of her for now. She walked a bit further into the dining room, her vines uncoiling just a bit to touch everything they could, causing her to wonder just why would a tower like this have such human things like tables? And look at this food! Granted its old but, she couldn't see or sense any traces of what would be conisdered human anywhere.
It just...baffled her.
Even the floor was still pretty pristine with the exception of a few cracks here and there. It almost seemed like this room was maintained by something...Intresting. Her vines kept touching and feeling till they came across something. She picked it up to inspect it, frowning slightly. Was this a page from a picture book? The images were a bit disturbing so she gathered that this wouldnt really be for children. She said the few words aloud:
Consumed by hunger again, the serpent wandered the world. Whatever it ate would immediately come out of its gashed sides. The oceans and lands ran thick with green, and the humans took pity on the serpent, offering eventually to fill its wounds with leaves and branches
She huffed, turning the page over to see if she could decipher just what this page was about. When she found nothing, she decided to to keep the page just incase she found anymore, then she would be able to figure out what this meant. For now, she pulled out a chair as best as she could and stared at the tea.
