Captain Richterite was beginning to notice a pattern in his patrolling habits, or lack thereof. In general, if he caught traces of another powered aura he found himself heading the other way. Confliction had replaced conviction and it left him with an ill feeling; like any moment his crystal would thrum and he would be summoned before a council to be berated, stripped of rank and any number of other terrible things. Tonight was no different, save for the fact that he had, initially, set out with every intention to gather energy... Safely of course; no full drains, no star seed yanks. He hadn't gotten very far, of course, instead finding himself seated on the ledge of a rooftop watching the people of Destiny City pass by beneath him. "I was one of you once; simple, oblivious. I thought the big things in life were math tests and sneaking off to kiss crushes in dark corners..." NovaCracker [Title subject to change... *fails at titles*]

Skye Starrfyre No worries, I'm no better. XD Cordoba had made a concious effort to patrol. While it wasn't nightly, it was as often as her work at the station allowed, and tonight was one such night. While stealth and sneaking were still entirely novel concepts for the Mercury Knight, she did move with carefully guaged jumps that proved one still was adjusting to powered life. At least her weapon was put away, and Cordoba jumped once again, blinking when a strange feeling of unease began gripping her, and she stopped, blinking and tilting her head. It was stronger than her, like Glitnir or Camelot, but not... Like them, instead simply 'chaotic' if she could use a word. She wasn't sure why, but it felt different from Gliutnir and Camelot and she wasn't sure why, and so, she did the only thing that made sense in her mind, and began to brazenly move to investigate. Surely it wasn't a bad guy, right? ....Right?

He sighed softly as he felt the energy signal approaching, rising to his feet so as to prevent being knocked off of the building in the event they decided to charge first and ask questions later. He banished the card that he had been turning in his fingers back into the space where he kept his weapon when not in use. If whoever, or whatever, saw him without a weapon maybe that would make them less likely to charge head on as well. "Well, Captain, how lucky to you feel tonight?" He muttered beneath his breath, taking a few steps forward into the lit circle cast by the light over the building's door to the roof. "Greetings and good evening!" He called out into the emptiness, hoping that whoever it was nearby would hear him.

At first, Cordobadidn't know what the aura was doing, but after a moment, she squeaked in surprise, summoning her weapon to hide behind it several moments as she shook before slowly peering out, blinking at the figure in the light. He felt highly unsettling, definitely, and she held her weapon as a shield, the record-looking discuss no more useful than a toy to her except maybe if he threw stones, and seeing no weapon, she managed not to panic AS much, and put up her bravest front - at least as much as her cowering allowed. "H...Hullo. Are you patrolling this area?" She asked, hoping he heard her response. Hopefully he didn't attack. Sure, she could defend herself, but that unsettling feeling was new. She did NOT like it. At all.

"Patrolling?" His brow lofted slightly, traces of a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "No, I wouldn't call it that. That would make it seem far too much like I came here with the intent to get into a tousle with anyone that I might have found on my stomping grounds. I would call this more scouting, than anything, if we're insisting on giving names to our actions..." Richterite's head tilted slightly to the side as he eyed the 'weapon' she was attempting to hide herself behind. He made a soft sound that was almost a laugh, shaking his head slowly. "Are you patrolling this area? And who, might I ask, do I have the pleasure of meeting?"

"Scouting?" Now that was new, and Cordoba peered around the disc a bit more, blinking before lowering the weapon just a bit, nodding. "I'm Cordoba, of Mercury." The name was easy now, at least, and she tilted her head, lips quirking in a slight expression of confusion as she studied Richterite carefully. "How about you?" She blinked again, studying him from her space. His uniform was... Rather dark, she noted. Not bright like hers, or Glitnir, or Camelot. Was he a Senshi? Or a knight from Comeplanet she had yet toi learn about? ....Hmmm. This bore thinking on and investigation. At least he didn't attack, even if his aura felt weird.

"Mercury, hm?" His brow lofted at that. The only knight that he could recall clearly was Camelot and his attire had been much different than that of the young woman standing before him. It made sense, he supposed, that they would all fall under a different planet. It couldn't be that they were all rising up from Earth to defend it, right? "Captain Richterite, of the Negaverse." He placed one arm behind his back, folding the other in front of him as he bowed, keeping his eyes on her even as he did so in the event the disc she held was just a distraction from whatever way she was capable of attacking him. "A pleasure, Cordoba of Mercury."

Skye Starrfyre SORRY I GOT SLOW. Das' weekend hit plus yesterday was an errand day! Cordoba observed the action, dispelling her weapon for themoment to reciprocate the bow politely. Negaverse? Like a negative space? ...So was he an opponent? He sure didn't act like one, so Cordoba noted to not strike unless he tried, and even then, she wasn't sure how she'd go about it. Would she hit him with the record? Kick?... Actuslly, her heels might be helpful - but she'd ask Camelot later, and the page grinned shyly. "So, Captyain. What brings you out?" Cordoba asked politely. As long as he seemed ok...

"Right this instant? Conversation, if we're being honest. When I initially set out this evening?" His brow lofted slightly as he stretched before shrugging his shoulders. "I was hoping to harvest some energy and earn a few brownie points. I'm afraid that on the 'bad guy' scale I've been registering as a pale grey lately. Nowhere near the dingy darkness and creeping shadows I should be. But what can you do..." He didn't seem to be taking it seriously, from the way he was talking, although he'd found out early on that the less seriously he took things the more likely others were to let their guard down. NovaCracker It's alright! Work tends to kick my butt between days off so I totally understand! Errand days are important too.

Skye Starrfyre Yeah. Work is FUN to deal with. So is planning impromptu trips. Cordoba was beginning to calm - conversation she could do! - buy energy draining didn't sound good, and she managed not to fly into another panic as she blinked. "What if others needed that energy?" She asked carefully. "I mean, surely they might be useful in other ways?" Admittedly, she didn't know what energy draining fully implied, but she filed it under things to ask a senior knight later, instead trying not to look small and afraid again. "Besides, wouldn't it result in someone fighting back?"

"They might need it, but if you only siphon a little here and there you're not doing any sort of irreparable damage. It's more like... Well, have you ever stayed up until 3am and then had to be up before 9am to make sure you were ready for class? That groggy, tired feeling? It's kind of like that." He said after pondering for a moment, and likely would have drawn his cards out again to idly shuffle them if it weren't for the fact that he was trying to avoid startling the page. "If you're good at it you can do it in a way that's so subtle that people don't notice you're doing it. I try not to be forceful. In general I'd rather not get into a fight. It generally ends badly for someone and I don't particularly want that on my hands." Not unless forced, which he'd managed to avoid so far. "So... You're new to all of this? Just guessing."

Cordoba lisdtened, carefully picking over information thoughtfully before responding, nodding slowly to the question of staying awake. Both the club circuit and the radio kept her busy and sleep premium, but she had the help of her mother and the man she seemed to be meeting whom married her aunt recently, and still... Some were good, and some were not so good. Camelot and Glitnir were certainly informative, or tried to be, but meeting an agent of chaos was different, and she wondered how ifferent from his fellows he actually was. She decided to gauge the situation for now - her ionability to fight needn't be exposed yet until she could et help - and Cordoba nodded again finally. "I guess you can call me new." A brow raised. "I suspect you aren't. At least you seem not to be." But he also seemed less homicidal than she heard, so.

"No, I'm not." He was smirking softly as he answered her; still more teasing than any sort of actual threat. "I was in highschool when an agent of the Negaverse approached me. Turned out to be a friend of mine; awkward, but fitting, honestly. That was... Four years ago?" The captain shook his head, bringing a hand up to brush fingers back through silvery strands of hair. "Seems like another lifetime, honestly. A lot has changed since then. Or so I've been told..." He would know more if he would actually check in, but he had been avoiding that for one reason or another. "Pretty sure there's at least one superior officer who'd be disappointed that I'm not a General yet."

Oh no he was probably even more capable of kicking her butt. Cordoba swallowed, but observed, head tilting. "Four years? High school? How long has all of this been... Going on!?" Because it all sounded plain miserable and unending now, and if it was long haul, she needed to know so she could work out how to handle things and possibly ask Camelot and Glitnir a good few things.

"I suspect it's been going on longer than anyone figured it would when it started. When I was corrupted I was under the impression it had been going on for long enough that the Negaverse had settled in pretty comfortably. My schoolmate had already made it to Captain... Or was it General." He paused for a moment before simply rolling his eyes, arms crossing over his chest. "Shows how good I am at paying attention to all of this, doesn't it? Do me a favor and don't tell I'm behind on my history lessons? Other things too, I'm sure..." Richterite managed a wry grin at that. "I think it started with the scouts, but don't quote me on that one. I've always been told that we wouldn't be here if it hadn't been for the senshi invasion of Earth."
