Slice of Life. Slice of Lubchenko. Either way you look at it, this thread is a little piece of the real action of Lubchenko Academy - Home for Supernatural! This is where we look at the day-to-day happenings of the school and take a peek into the lives of our characters when they're not busy creating a traffic jam at the nurse's office, or being scarred for life in battles to the mock-death.
*The events in this forumn follow, and may subtly affect, the events of the main Lubchenko roleplay. If you're not reading that, this may not make sense to you!

All Main Forumn and Guild rules apply here as well, but here are a few guidelines specific to this forumn and ones like it:
[X] Follow the cannon. Anything that happens in the main RP either happened before the events that take place here, or will happen sometime after. There is no changing that, so don't try to finagle your character out of something in the main thread by posting erroneous things here.
[X] Leave the drama for your mama(thread). Sub-threads like this one are a nice place to develop friendships (or rivalries), and things like that. It is not a good idea to have huge, life-altering things happen here. A good rule of thumb is, if you refer to it in the main thread, are readers who haven't read the sub-thread going to scratch their heads wondering Where the heck did that come from?
[X] Yo, where you at? When participating in the sub-thread, please figure out where you're supposed to be, and when. Your character can't very well be meeting for Glee Club on a Monday morning when everyone else is in class, can they?

XXAsmodai sat in the cafeteria, swinging her bare feet beneath her chair. Her arms were crossed against the edge of the table, one hand tapping flat against the surface, the other curled with nails strumming. Dadadada clap clap dadadada clap clap dadadada clap clap. In front of her was the usual school fare, which she never needed to eat, but which she accepted anyway. She took it because that's what her company did - most of them weren't immortal, obviously.
That's who she was waiting for now - her friends. She wanted to hang out with everyone, and to ask about their days, and mostly she wanted to tell about her own. The little djinni glanced at the empty table before her, then over to the cafeteria entrance. Where was everyone? Idly, she wondered too, where was Hal? She had a small stack of homework for him to start on.

Phillip had been having a hard time adjusting to this crazy school of freaks. The head of security had been a nightmare to avoid to smoke his own weed, let alone sell it to others. The plus side was the girls. He'd been told the girls were smokin', some quite literally, but whatever.
Having three squares a day was a plus, for him even when he couldn't find a hot girl to saddle up to during meals. Sometimes the food was good, other times he was pretty sure it was lawn clippings. He'd eaten worse on accident, though that was happening less often.
Lately he felt like he could see better, like the blobs of color he was used to were more vibrant than they used to be. Today there was a blue blob that caught his attention, with no other blobs on the ROYGBIV spectrum to keep it company. Well. Phillip could fix that for her.
...Please let it be a her.
He slid into the seat across from the blob with as much velvety smoothness as he could muster. Then he put on the smolder. "Ey, baby. You always look this good in blue?"
Nailed it.

XXAs last period wrapped up, Darren snapped his books shut, tucking them into his bag. His board sat on the desk in front of him, cleared off. After a moment more of consideration, he wrote onto it and rose from his seat, heading out the door and into the hall with his belongings. This was an idea he'd wrestled with since this morning, and now he was deciding, finally, to act. He sailed through the halls, avoiding the crowds of students heading every which way, and moved toward the room where the freshmen class was held for study hall. They were beginning to pour out when Darren pushed into the room and saw Nova gathering her notebooks. He waited til she noticed him, and held up his slate: Would you want to come into town with me?

Novalie had spent seven rotations on Earth. A week. That's called a week. She was much better at speaking now. Reading was coming more easily to her as well, and she found she quite enjoyed it. Books were really helping her acclimate to new senses. Though her reading was still a slow-going process. She had a clear idea of how to function, give or take a few oddities--like laundry.
Terrell had given her a set of clothing called a uniform, which everyone wore to classes. His sister Melody had drawn her a pair of shoes and some socks and underwear--which were smaller clothes you wore under your clothes. The reason for this was still a source of confusion. Peter often flew around in nothing but leaves. But when on Earth, do as the Earthlings do.
Their last class of the week day was a thing called Study Hall, where you went to the library and did homework or research without a specified subject. Novalie was studying Physical Education. She just didn't understand how to move in her new body sometimes. The difference between jumping and floating was particularly vexing.
She was reading an article called "Why White Men Can't Jump" when the bell rang and startled her from struggling to read a bigger word.
"Little jumpy today, huh?" Lily asked, holding a hand over her own heart. Neither of them were used to the bells yet.
"Do you really think so?" Maybe this jumping thing wasn't as out of reach as she thought.
She put the book back on the shelf and packed up to leave (her bag another Melody original), thinking about what she would do with herself for the rest of the day. She yawned. Probably go to sleep until moonrise. Yes, a nap sounded--she brightened when she saw Darren waiting for her in the hallway, and made her way over...but not without another yawn.
He held out his board, the message was already prepared. Novalie carefully read the print, then double-checked she had it right. Would you want to come into town with me?
The trip would cut into her nap, but she could lose a little shut-eye for Darren. It couldn't take too long, right? "Okay," She smiled up at him wrapped her arms around his. "I've never been to a town before. What do you do there?"

 ♂Marius Lustrian
Marius has spent his study hall period sleeping in the back of the library. The haiku book that his sister had written had found its way back to him. Another student had found it and returned it to the library. He took the liberty of taking it back, though it hadn’t really left him a choice. When he’d walked through the doors, it screeched at him. He had his way to it and it calmed. He really needed to talk to Ms. Lusilin and find out why it sings. Though he had been warned against it…
That day was quite something. Not only had he met his sister, but he’d found himself in such a predicament that his wings made themselves known. He’d also found a girl that could counter is power. She was interesting. When he’d fled from her, the night only got more… intriguing. A new student had crashed into the boy’s dorm. At the time, he couldn’t be bothered to investigate. It wasn’t until the next morning that he found out that there were several new students.
Marius managed some polite introductions that morning and moved on from the scene. It was odd learning that Novalie, the party crasher, was in fact a star. Like legit a fallen star. The multitude of creatures at this school was simply amazing to him. He knew a dragon and a naga. There was a creepy wendigo for a teacher apparently, and angles were very real. Now they had a star.
The bell rang, singally that official end of the school day. It broke through his dreams and woke him. Marius looked about the library, finding himself surrounded by books and the occasional student packing up their things. His stomach rumbled and he decided he had a need for food.
He made a the trek through the halls, headed towards the cafeteria when he spotted Nova and one of the other new students, Darren? He been trying to meet and mingle with others, and Darren had been spoken with before. Though spoken wasn’t exactly the right word when referring to him. He had his board up in front of Nova, presumably asking something.
“I’ve never been to a town before. What do you do there?” Nova replied. Marius had a quick thought about possibly eating out instead of just cafeteria food. If he offered to treat the two of them, then perhaps he could get to know them better?
“Towns are places like here, but full of stores and places to eat and people’s homes,” he answered. He smiled at the two of them, rubbing the back of his neck with a gloved hand. “Sorry for interrupting, but if you’re going into town, perhaps I could tag along? Maybe buy us dinner later?”

Novalie held Darren's arm above the elbow so he would still be able to write and waited patiently for a reply, but, unexpectedly, it was Marius who answered her question. “Towns are places like here, but full of stores and places to eat and people’s homes.”
She smiled at him, the silly boy. "I know that much." She knew what a town was, just not what they could be doing there. "I've just never gone to one." Perhaps he was merely hungry for something the cafeteria didn't offer and wanted her company? She couldn't help but glow a little more at the thought. Being around people (particularly the ones she was fond of) instead of merely watching and guiding them from a distance made her feel warm all over. She looked up at Darren. "Do you have an errand to run?"
Marius didn't give him much time for reply. “Sorry for interrupting, but if you’re going into town, perhaps I could tag along? Maybe buy us dinner later?”
Novalie brightened and held out her free hand for Marius to take. "I'd like that." she said, unconsciously giving Darren's bicep a squeeze. "It's merrier with more..." she trailed off, dimming and trying to remember the correct phrase to sum up what she was feeling. "No, that's not right--oh!" She brightened back to her usual glow. "The more the merrier. That's it."

XXDarren's lip curled into the lightest of smiles when Nova approached him. She agreed, and slipped her arms around his. Darren felt his face warm up, but she asked about what they would do in town, and that was a good enough excuse as any to look down. He was scribbling his answer onto his board when someone answered for him. He lifted his eyes first, and then his once-again stoic face. “Towns are places like here, but full of stores and places to eat and people’s homes,” said a tall boy, whom Darren recognized. Mars. What the hell did he want? "I know that much. I've just never gone to one." Nova told him. Darren imagined that she'd said that with malice, but she was far too nice for that, really. She looked up to him then. "Do you have an errand to run?"At this, Darren looked down at his board, which so far had written on it, "Food, maybe. Shopping" he added on "For you?" He revealed his small smile again, only to have to hide it when Marius chimed in once more. “Sorry for interrupting, but if you’re going into town, perhaps I could tag along? Maybe buy us dinner later?” What? Dude? I'm not into that, he thought to himself. He was about to tell Mars off, when Nova agreed that he should come. Aw, frick. She took hold of Marius' arm, while giving Darren's a squeeze. He glanced away briefly, before looking back to them, and waving his free hand toward the hall. Shall we?

 Save yourself
From a life full of lies and a heart full of pain and sorrow
From the choices I make cause nothing but failure follows me ┈┈┈┈ ┈┈┈┈ ┈┈┈┈ The days passed by in blur, but it made sense. He had spent the majority of them curled up and sleeping. His joints ached from laying in the same position for so long, and his human legs needed some stretching.
Hal walked down the main hallway silently, hunched over and with his arms crossed in front of him. It was only now that he was starting to venture outside of his room again, for food mostly. He still couldn’t quite bring himself to attend classes yet, not with Asmodai hanging around, but he knew it was only a matter of time until she showed herself anyway.
He stopped and stared longingly inside the door of the clinic. It was where he was most familiar, but also where he felt the most unwelcome. He had been practically chased out the last time he was there. It was only to help Ethika, but the scary man he encountered thought he was stealing his stuff. It was for everyone wasn’t it? Faye was hurt too, she also needed treatment.
Hal sighed and took another step forward to pass the door. What would happen if he was the one sick? Would he be denied treatment?

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxA S T R I D So it's gonna be f o r e v e r,xxxxxxxx or it's gonna go down in flames. Astrid honestly spent most of her time in dance, and to be honest, all week she had been slacking. Not without reason, though. It was all part of a grand scheme that she had been trying all week to trigger. If she did poorly, then maybe when she asked Cas to help her practice, he would be willing. The two of them had hung out a few times, but it was hard for Astrid to not take control of the situation. Trying to play the cute, passive girl wasn't her style, and she hated that she had to do it now. She didn't want to scare the boy off, though, so for now, she would just play innocent.
She hurried to her room after class let out and changed into something more comfortable. It wasn't like she had an issue with wearing the uniform around the school, honestly, it was cute. But she just wanted her legs to be warmer. So, she slid into a pair of black, fleece leggings and a white t-shirt that hung loosely off of her small frame. She slid on her favorite pair of low cut Converse sneakers and made her way to the cafeteria. It seemed when she got there that a few students were filing in to get their supper for the night. And Astrid waited by the door, scanning the room to see if she saw anyone she knew to sit with.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxD E J A I know b e t t e r,xxxxxxxxxxx cause you said forever. Deja had spent most of her day checking her phone. Like clockwork, about every ten minutes, she would unlock the screen to see if she had a message. And every time, there was nothing. It was unusual for Kieran not to answer her, even if he was in class. She would still get some sort of reply. And now, there was nothing. It had been like this all day. Honestly, she knew that he had been upset about the accident, but she was trying to cheer him up. She even sent him pictures of cute little bunnies to try and make him smile, but nothing was working. And now, he wasn't replying at all.
So, as soon as class was out and she went to her room to change, she made way straight for Kieran's. With her luck, Melody would be there, using his space for her own nasty habits. Honestly, she didn't understand why he was even friends with someone like her. Especially since the ginger was so damn mean. Deja hated her, and even that was putting it lightly. So, when the pinkette reached her boyfriend's dorm, she knocked lightly, waiting for a response, and dreading the worst. She knew that Kieran would never cheat on her, but if Mel drug him into her own nasty habits, then Deja was going to come unglued. She knocked again, harder this time before fishing through her things to find the spare key to his dorm that he had given her. She slid the key into the lock and twisted the knob.
The door swung open and inside there was nothing. She blinked, looking around. There were a few things that were missing from what she could see. His things had been gone through, clothes gone. It was like he packed up and left. Without telling me? she thought, her heart pounding in her chest as anxiety and worry started setting in.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxN E R I A The worst is over n o w,xxxxxxxxxxx and we can breathe again. It was exciting being a teacher now. Neria had learned so many things from her students and it was always exciting. Even the staff was slowly accepting her into their ranks. Aside from perhaps two. Jack kept her at arms length, and Fiora kept her distance. There was one other that she didn't know aside from the day during the arena. She didn't know his name, she just knew the darkness that surrounded him. And she could tell that he deliberately avoided her at all cost.
But the others seemed nice enough.
There was one, though, that she really did want to talk to. Even though he wasn't a teacher, Terrell was similar to her, only not. He had the unfortunate existence of being neither human nor angel, but a combination of both that made him an outcast in both worlds. The more time she had spent here, the more she had wondered if his existence was a burden on himself. She wondered if he believed even in her father, or if he had any power that she did. Typically, nephilim had their own power source, strength and all that. And sometimes, the grace of their angel parents could be bestowed upon them so long as their parents were not truly fallen and cut out of Heaven and were willing to live the rest of their lives as a mortal.
Neria made her way to the cafeteria, now in the habit of getting herself something to eat. One thing that was nice, too, is while she spent plenty of time with Zak and with their newly budding relationship, she also had established her own ties and friendships. She was fond of Illasun, especially after their conversation during the events of Jack's reveal.
