He was hungry, he'd spent the last three hours studying and working on his English, and had decided it was time for a break and a meal. Rather than simply shuffling from his room to the kitchen Seung had decided the walk to the Korean district of Destiny City was a good idea. The place had good food, it reminded him of home, and the idea of warm comfort food really appealed to him.
Now, he knew the city was dangerous as he'd done his research once his father had announced where the family would be moving to. He didn't understand everything he'd found online, and not just due to language, but he had seen pictures of the terrorists which were the main problem? He wasn't going to assume too much here but it was obvious the city had problems from the information, he was just taking things with a grain of salt. he believes there was a problem and perhaps even terrorists but he wasn't going to look at the pictures and say all of them were bad .There had to be some good people in the city - right? People had on the internet even asked about the police, apparently they didn't get too involved in these things. So someone had to be policing things if not the real police...right? He hoped, he was concerned for his sister and cousin, not to mention his parents.
He thought he was on alert, watching for anything he'd seen pictured online, but he wasn't looking for the moving shadow which was coming up behind him quickly. What hit him felt like a person, or something bigger going by the force of the hit, and it sent him into an alleyway as it slammed into him hard and sent him off balance and right into the alleyways mouth. Staggering he wasn't able to catch his balance so he landed on the ground in a heap.
Turning around and slowly picking himself up he was sent back to the ground and pinned by..a shadow? It didn't look human and it clearly had a more solid form. It looked rather beat list with teeth and several legs, more than the usual four, and ears pinned back as he snarled at him. Panic flooded him as he took in what he could from his position under it. Writhing under it, trying to get free, he moved one leg trying to knee it. As he moved and worked to help himself he called out, glad he had some skill in English.
"Help!"

It wasn't actually that often that she heard an actual call for help.
Random screams she was used to certainly. Or the crashing and banging around of a scuffle in progress. Both sounds were as helpful as aura sensing in her pursuit of trouble when the senshi patrolled at night.
But an actual call for help. It was so foreign and jarring that it stopped Polaris in her tracks, eyes turning to try and find the source amid the city streets that were notorious for carrying sound far and wide in the night.
It didn't matter what kind of help the person needed. Be it from the forces of Chaos or some simple purse snatcher, she could not deny the request.
Perched high on the roofs it luckily did not take her much time to find a youma quite obviously going after someone or something. There was no other aura though.. so if it was a someone it was a civilian. An innocent... And Polaris' jaw clenched with that thought.
With a few steps she made it to the edge of the rooftop, dropping to the ground of the alleyway. Ignoring the mild shock of the landing against her knees she swung her boot at the youma as hard as she could. Try and get the youma away from the person first - that was the plan. "Don't worry, I've got you." She huffed, unsure if that would actually be reassuring or not.Sleet Tempest Snape Sorry for the delay heart

He'd been trying to wiggle free but he found himself tiring far sooner than should be normal, at least as far as his could think. He didn't understand and was staring up at the...thing, beast maybe, with fear and not a small bit of tiredness in his dark eyes. He wasn't expecting help, who was around this area? Who would jump into whatever this was and help? This clearly wasn't human...some sort of...demon or something. He didn't know what but would he jump in against such a thing? No...well maybe, depending he supposed. But none of that mattered as he felt himself slipping closer and closer to unconsciousness, something he fought to cling to. He couldn't pass out, there was no telling what would happen if he did. Would he live to see tomorrow? Somehow he didn't think so.
He wasn't expecting help and yet it came. Help had come and as dark eyes saw the figure standing there, attacking the beast, for he had no other way to properly describe it aside from demon, he felt relief fill him. He might have even smiled, he wasn't sure, but he felt safe at the moment even as the thing reared up, it's front four legs lifting off the ground as it let out something between a roar and a shriek befitting a banshee.
it wasn't pleased, that much he was certain of as it turned it's attention on the long white haired female. Seung took advantage of the distraction the female posed and scooted back and away from the thing. Moving toward a dumpster he managed to regain enough energy, through sheer panic and adrenaline, to get himself closer to a dumpster and a few trash cans so he wasn't in the way of whatever fight was about to transpire.
The beast lunged toward the senshi, it's upper half coming crashing down toward her.
As he moved across the ground his hands rolled against something and gave out behind him as he'd placed them, unknowingly, on a metal pipe and as it rolled so did his hands and his arms extended further backward and he wound up on the ground flat on his back. His hands, still on the pipe, took hold of it and deciding to try and help the unarmed girl, she really should have a weapon right? He used what energy he had to throw the pipe in her direction. "Take it!" His english was poor but still understandable through the heavy accent. he was offering her what he thought she could use.

The youma, though it looked like shadow, was extremely hard - built almost entirely of muscle. It made her thankful for her thick boots as her foot landed against it, and with her next kick she tried to aim the sole and heel more so at the creature then her more delicate toes. When it reared up and turned its attention to her, allowing the young man to withdraw from under it and move away, she made a silent exclaimation of victory within her head. Though of course that meant the youma's fully attention was on her now.
Built of muscle and with extra arms and apendages to watch out for Polaris barely dodged being crushed and pinned by that monster as it crashed down towards her, though it had still knocked her to the ground. The senshi had been about ready to try and get up when she heard the call from behind her, her eyes flicking towards the obviously foreign young man, and when they did she could not believe her luck.
Instead of reaching for the thrown pipe she simply whispered the name of her super attack, watching as the pipe propelled even faster towards the monster smacking into it with a loud metallic clang. As it bounced off the monster, Polaris rolled towards the weapon, grasping it in her gloved hands before she finally stood, the pipe held like a baseball bat.
"Thank you," She called over her shoulder as she waited for the perfect moment to try and swing her pipe at the creatures head. "Just stay right there until I dust this thing and we'll get you out of here." Sleet Tempest Snape Did you want the battle to actually go on for a little bit to show how tough and scary youma can be or just have her dust it in a couple more posts and then fill him in while she checks him over?

That was...shocking. She didn't grab the pipe but it went flying toward the beast she had been knocked to the ground by. He was worried for her, she was trying to help him at the risk of her own safety. Staring with wide dark eyes he slowly climbed up to his feet, using the dumpster for help, as he stood watching her and wondering just what he'd seen and how it worked. He hadn't a clue but it looked amazing! Maybe he could find out about it? When this was over, wishful thinking perhaps and a lot hopeful. But how could someone not be curious about seeing something like that?
At her words, understanding most of them or at least the idea, he nodded his head but he didn't keep entirely still. Watching as the thing, beast, turned it's attention on her and it's body moved and turned in a way that made him sure it possessed no spine, and it gave another half shriek half roar as he headed for her on all eight legs of it's. Each leg was like a dogs or a cats in structure, rather than like an insects as you'd expect. They moved quickly with them moving in a rhythm similar to a centipede as the front lifted than the next set and the next and than the last set. And it was the same way they each hit the ground as the creature walked. It was a wave like motion which the legs had as he headed toward her and again it lifted itself up, exposing a softer belly to the senshi as it tried to bring it's front legs down on her, claws poised and ready to strike.
Mouth parted and fangs showing as he came down toward the metal bat wielding senshi he found itself being hit in the head by a trash can lid turned frisbee. The cause for this was the male behind the senshi. He was, in some small manner, trying to help the senshi who was willing to risk her own life for his. "Hit it!" He called out as the things head was turned to the side thanks to the smack to the face it had just taken. "Kill it." He added after a moment.Iris_virus We can make it a quick fight. She can help him, make sure he's ok, he might invite her for food as a thank you for the help. They can talk and he can learn some. ::Nods:: She can tell him how big and scary they can be over food.

The creepiness factor of this particular youma was pretty high. As a fairly girly girl Aurora wasn't a huge fan of bugs, and the strange motion of the many legged creature reminded her of creepy crawlies. She was almost overwhelmed as it shifted to pull the front part of it's body up taller then she was, intent on attacking downward. But the clang of a metallic trash lid was enough to bring her back to reality.
With the youma distracted by the lid she swung the pipe as hard as she could, hoping to knock it back or get it to retreat the tiniest bit. She was just as interested as the young man was in actually 'killing' it however and using the tiny bit of room she'd made she held out the pipe again pointed straight at monster.
The edges weren't that sharp but she hoped the force of her power would be enough to impel the youma with the long pipe as she called her super attack again.Sleet Tempest Snape Sounds good to me whether they go eat or simply talk while she escorts him towards home.

He wasn't sure if his plan to help her, by distracting the thing, would work but as he watched her and the beast he saw it come down toward her again before it let out some horrendous shriek, somewhere between the air being let out of a balloon and some banshee's cry. As it drew back he took note of a pipe, the one he'd thrown to the girl, sticking out of it's body. It took a moment of trying to coordinate it's arms, or were they legs, to get it out but by then the beast was on the ground spread out and twitching as it still tried to remove the pipe even as it died.
As it lay dead, finally, it turned into...dust? Yes, things could get weirder than they already were. Beasts and magic and a girl who looked like she was from some kind of anime. All very strange and none of this would he be telling his family, he wasn't about to worry his parents and he didn't need, or want, his cousin or sister to pester him for details about it.
No, as it turned to dust he approached the female slowly and once he came to stand in front of her he bowed, nice and low and held it. "Thank you." As he straightened himself he had to raise one hand to brush his hair from his face as it had the tendency of getting into his face. Most of the right side of his head was shaven short and just a few shades lighter than his natural black hair color. The other side was dyed a different color altogether and long. It was a style he liked, though his cousin teased him that he took the look from the singer Key. He argued his cousin about it enough stating that he simply liked the style as well and it was for no other reason. He was out of school, had been in university, and could look however he pleased finally.
"What was...that?" His English was accented, heavily, and stilted as he made sure each word was right before he let it past his lips. It wasn't his first language and likely one he was still learning. "And you? Who are you?"

She wasn't sure if it would work, but relief flooded over the senshi when the youma sank to the ground with the pipe imbedded in it's chest. Her gloved hands tightening into celebratory fists. Polaris was turning, to try and spot the young man when suddenly there he was right in front of her, bowing in a show of politeness unlike anything she'd seen in awhile.
"It's no problem at all. I'm just sorry you got caught up in all of this..." She piped up immediately, waving her hands just a little as if to say the bow wasn't necessary. But she assumed in the end it was a cultural thing, the young man obviously foreign from his speech and his appearance.
His question was unsurprising, and she glanced back over her shoulder as if expecting another monster or worse, a police officer or something to appear at any moment before finally turning back to him. "They're called youma. They are monsters basically, sent out by some very bad people."
"I'm Polaris, a senshi." Whether the word would mean anything to him she did not know so she added a little more. "I'm one of the 'good' guys. I roam around at night and try and stop those monsters and the people who sent them before they hurt anyone."
"Speaking of which are you alright?" She leaned in suddenly, eyes squinting with concern as she tried to look him over, messy braids spilling over her shoulders. "Did it hit you before I showed up?"

Listening, carefully, to her he was able to pick up some words. It was other words he didn't get. Monster was a word he knew and youma...they were called youma? That wasn't a word he'd ever heard before, which he figured made sense. He'd never encountered such a thing and now that he had he'd never forget it, or their name. He also caught mention of bad guys and than, before he could ask about that, she was introducing herself.
"Polaris..." Nodding his head he smiled. "Seung Kim." His name took a moment to come out, as he had to remind himself that it was given name than family name, it was going to seriously take time to get used to that. He knew it, he'd learned it a long while back, but it had never been something he'd had to do. "Bad guys?" He asked finally while looking around them, as if expecting some bad guys to come. He was also sure someone had to have heard everything which had happened, the youma hadn't been quite by any means. "Should go...follow." He had been on his way to get food from a nice restaurant in Korea town and they needed to get away from here.
So she was a good person, one who helped others like himself who were in need. He could appreciate that and it eased the worry he'd had since finding out his family would be moving here. He'd heard, online, about the problems this city had but to know there were good people out there - people with power...it calmed him some. Maybe it wasn't so dangerous for his sister and cousin, not to mention his parents, not if people like this Polaris were out and about to help. "Others...like you?" He asked after a moment, hoping there were more like her. If there were it would ease the worry he'd had for his family since the move had been announced, over dinner, by his father.
"Oh! I am fine...are you?" He asked while he motioned her to follow him. He was still planning on food, even if he was a bit tired still, he was hungry more than before at this point. He was hoping she'd follow, provide him more information and he could repay her, at least in some small way, with a hot meal. "Shove....shoved me into...here." Motioning around them as he tried to make sure what he was saying worked. He'd been watching a lot of tv when he was home, with subtitles on, in the hopes of being able to learn a bit more of the language - the things they didn't teach in school.

His confirmation that he hadn't been badly hurt and the lack of visible cuts or bad injuries seemed to satisfy Polaris after a moment and she stopped her inspection and leaning in. His request to walk was met with a nod as well and she began to follow after him slowly.
The name, the speech pattern, everything about the young man scream foreigner, both to Destiny City and the states. He had been massively unlucky to run into that youma and despite not having an fault in it it made the senshi feel particularly bad. "I'm so sorry that you got dragged into all of this." A soft frown touched her lips, maybe she'd follow him for a bit.. until he was closer to home and made sure he got there safely.
Choosing her words carefully, falling back on her experiences trying to teach younger children who were still learning about the world and the English language she spoke dilberately and clearly trying to explain just a little. "Yes, there are others like me. Senshi and knights who try to fight the monsters and keep them away."
"We usually wear light colors." She added, tapping on the white of her fuku.

Watching her he nodded as he listened to her, glad for her change in speech pattern. It made things easier for him as he had the time to think on what she was saying and figure it out, though thankfully most of it was easy as well. She seemed to have understood his issue with the English language and was taking it into consideration.
"Shouldn't walk around like that. People will stare." He said though he did nod to her mention of wearing light colors, or white as she was pointing to. That would certainly help him in knowing who the good guys were. If there were others, senshi and knights, like her as she said there were he felt safer in this city. He had to hope that if anything happened to his cousin or sister, or even his parents, a knight or senshi like this one would help them as well. He wished he could do something himself...be one himself if only to help keep people safe from what he'd just encountered. Alas, he doubted that was a possibility.
"Come with me." He did owe her and it was dinner time. He hoped she didn't mind if offering of food as a thank you...he also hoped she found something she liked, though he figured she might. He was headed toward a more crowded area, toward signs all over the place and lights with things advertised in a distinctly oriental language.

She was slightly concerned that he might find her attempts patronizing, but was glad when he didn't seem to. And when he spoke, mentioning her outfit, she looked surprised for a moment before nodding. It was a very good point he made, if she were going to be walking down the street instead of hiding in the shadow or on rooftops.
There was a momentary chide in the back of her head that identities were secret, but the young man, Seung, seemed harmless enough. With a flash of light the flashy outfit she had been wearing disappeared, replaced instead by a far more demure and sensible blouse and calf length skirt. "My name is also Aurora." She offered. "Polaris when I am in the costume. And just Aurora now."
Following after him she didn't realize quite yet that they were head not towards his home, but elsewhere, moving deeper into the city. "Do you live this way...?" She asked curiously as the signs began to change, living her as the one out of her languistic element.

Smiling he nodded his head. "it is nice to meet you, Aurora." He said honestly, giving a slight bow of his head, his dark eyes shifted in her direction as he walked at her side. He was very glad to have met her tonight, he didn't know what that youma would have done to him but he was sure it would have been nothing good. "What can youma do? What would...to me?" He asked seriously, wanting to know more. He at least knew that the city had some people to keep others safe, to defend others, and he was glad for it. But he wanted to know what these youma could do, what these bad people could do. There was still a lot of concern in him over this, though it had certainly been eased by this white haired girl.
Shaking his head he smiled. "No. Dinner, you come with me as thank you. You will like.[' Or at least he hoped so. The place he headed them to was fairly large, the doors slide open on their own with ease. Inside the smells of food filled the place but this wasn't a normal restaurant. The floor they stepped onto as they entered the place was dipped down and large so a group of people could stand there and remove their shoes. There was cubbies set up for people to put their shoes and indoor shoes for people to take and use.
"They have english menu." Since this was a small part of the city and enough people came here who didn't speak, much less read, Korean came here. It had a menu in both languages in order to help customers. "My...treat."

His polite greeting was met with a soft smile, the young woman charmed by the action, however the smile fade after a bit as he asked his next question. What would the youma do to him...? She didn't want to scare him but at the same time... it seemed irresponsible to lie. Nonetheless...
Quiet for a long moment, when she finally answered her voice was lower, trying to keep their conversation secret and unheard by anyone around them. "They are very dangerous. If you see one again you need to get away or kill it." There weren't very many senshi that would suggestion such a thing of someone not powered, but Aurora could remember the days long before Azzo became Niflhel, when he still put himself in harms way and made himself a solider. It wasn't smart... but if Seung was dead set on doing it.. it was best he atleast be informed and prepared.
"Each one is different. Some can do special attacks, but they all want to kill you. To take and eat the energy that is inside of you." Her expression was apologetic, a definate feeling of don't shoot the messenger filling her.
Nothing could prepare her though for the offer of dinner. Her eyes widened, a hand lifting with the intent to wave it, assuring him that it wasn't necessary at all. But somehow.. especially as they arrived at the beautiful and exotic restaurant it seemed very rude to turn him down. Her hand sank back down and she nodded softly. "You do not have to. But that's very kind of you, thank you." Her shoulders shrugged softly, offering her own tiny bow of her head.
When they entered she could not help but look around and try to take everything in, having not experienced anything of the sort before. As to not make a faux pas she stood by his side, letting him lead the way both figuratively and literally. His turn to be the teacher.

Could he kill one on his own? It seemed something he couldn't do but he was willing to if he was attacked again...especially if a family member were attacked. He was rather such he could try it and hopefully succeed. He knew easily that he may not be able to kill a youma but he could, and would, try to do it. She had said he could try and get away but against what he'd seen earlier how likely was it that he could get away? And if he tried running into a crowded area wouldn't that just be dangerous to everyone? Unless some knight or senshi happened upon it? He'd find out if he was ever attacked again, which he hoped never happened.
"Thank you, for the information. It will help me, to keep myself and my family safe." His words were soft, slow, but sincere. The knowledge, even if it wasn't a lot and he didn't get all of it, would be very helpful as it was more than he could hope to find on his computer.
As she seemed a bit lost he took the lead, as he figured he would need to, and stepping up to the cubbies he bent to undo his shoe laces and remove his shoes before standing and finding a cubby to place them in, a pair of shoes for indoors in his side taken from the cubby. Lucky for Aurora each cubby was marked with the size of the indoor shoe inside of it, using both systems of measurement. "Your shoes will be kept here safe. You wear indoor shoes then enter."
