Hobbies:

Cooking - Evan is a food snob and cooking is his life. Cooking is his greatest passion and he'll resort to that in almost any occasion. Food shows, recipe books, experimenting in the kitchen; he'll try it all. He aspires to be the head chef in a bustling restaurant, but right now he's stuck in the back of a bar, making ends meet. He'll cook for anyone, for any occasion; it's his greatest pride in life and his ability to cook is the only thing he has full confidence in.

Movies - A sap for movies, Evan loves the stories. While he might not admit it, romance movies are his weakness. He'll sneak out to see movies by himself or with a group, just as long as he gets to immerse himself in the story. He's almost always got some movie on in the background and will watch anything. He looks up to characters in movies and all the amazing adventures they get to go on; he aspires to be someone greater than he is and movies are a way for him to live through adventures and grow with the heroes without putting his life in danger. (or getting into trouble.)

Virtues:

Loyal - While Evan is sometimes slow to open up, he values his friendships once they are made. He sticks by the people closest to him and his loyalty rarely falters. He will stick by someone he considers a friend and can be relied on if ever they need anything. Evan deliberately blinds himself to the flaws of a person close to him and will stand by them because of this loyalty.

Empathetic - It is easy for Evan to put himself in the shoes of someone else; watching his movies and immersing himself in stories gives him the ability to imagine himself in anyone's situation and he is willing to try and look at things from someone else's perspective. He generally is able to avoid confrontation by trying to look at things from someone else's perspective.

People-Pleaser - Evan will go out of his way to gain the approval of others around him, even if it means sacrificing his own happiness. It is important to him to know that he is wanted, so he puts great effort towards making himself a wanted asset. He generally does his best not to upset others and whatever he can to try and blend into a group. He may end up doing things he might otherwise disagree with to gain their approval, but is generally a good person to have around if you want someone to bend over backwards for you.

Flaws:

Insecure - Evan frequently doubts himself and needs the approval of others. He doesn't trust in himself or his abilities (with everything but cooking). He is unable to see the good in himself and frequently focuses on the worst of things. When out of his comfort zone he is typically anxious and unreasonably pessimistic. Outwardly he can come across as defensive and aloof to people who do know him well or catch him outside of his comfort zone.

Emotional - Emotions run deep in Evan; he feels very strongly. Good and bad take their toll on him; when he's too happy he focuses only one whatever is making him happy, no matter what duties or obligations he may be neglecting. When things are bad he turns into himself and can get destructive. He is oversensitive and sometimes innocent statements or actions can leave his emotions raging. He tends to slip into depressive emotions more than anger when upset.

Overcritical - Evan is rarely happy with anything he does and will look for only the flaws in anything he is involved in. His inability to find the good in anything he produces leaves him dissatisfied and disappointed. He is generally awful in group projects or teams because he usually winds up sabotaging his efforts with his perfectionism. He winds up tense and prone to snapping in situations like this. While he is capable of supporting the efforts of others and seeing the good in them, he has very high, often unreasonable standards.
