As Camilla walks through the portal she was happy and excited she rescued a human! However, the moment she actually steps through, her excitement turns to confusion... "H-huh!?" she exclaims in confusion as she sees the human ghoul flopped on the ground! "I thought-" she didn't even have time to finish her sentence however; as her eyes scan the area and she realizes they were on another part of the highway, she also see's something else... A tall tower like building covered in vines... There was something about it...

It didn't take the Dormouse ghoul long to notice the top of the building was missing! And that, as she looked at the building, a growing headache was forming between her eyes... "U-ugh... Something is very wrong here..." she says softly with a concerned frown as a hand goes to her head...

Suddenly, she felt it... Something, causing the ground to shake...

Turning, Camilla's eyes widen in surprise and confusion! "Eep! What is that!?" she exclaims as her tail puffs out! It was HUGE! Massively huge! It was shaped like some mutated horse, yet it quickly became apparent it wasn't a simple horse! The vines which comprised it, quickly begin unraveling and reaching for her! Vines turn to claws, and claws turn to fingers! Reaching fingers, grabbing fingers! "Eep! Oh no you don't! You can't have this human!" she shouts quickly before standing defensively in front of the unconscious brown haired ghoul!

Suddenly, as the claws and vines get closer, Camilla realizes something! Those 'claws', those 'vines' weren't simply claws and vines! They were hands and arms! And that's when it truely hit her!

"We will consume you and your Fear will be ours!"

Pain suddenly surges through her which causes the Dormouse ghoul to clutch her head in pain as her tail curls around her leg! "A-ack!" she yelps as each word felt like a knife running through her mind! The words, so pained and ominous, sent chills to her very core! That 'thing' was made up of thousands of Halloween creatures! With her Fear attuned to them now, she could hear it... Their agonized and confused cries! They were lost, their idenity was gone and they were reduced to writhing in agony at whatever that 'thing's' beck and call was! It had absorbed them and now it wanted to do the same to her!

"N-no!" she shouts as her vision started to blur from the pain! She wouldn't let it end like this! She wouldn't give up! Dulling eyes were suddenly filled with renewed strength as Camilla releases her head and whirls around to face the human ghoul! She couldn't leave the ghoul with that 'thing'! She had all but promised the ghoul she'd save her and that's what Camilla was going to do!

Quickly, she bends down and grabs the ghoul's arm to sling it over her shoulder; however, as she does, she finds her strength was back! "Ah! Yay! My strength is back!" she exclaims before carefully pulling the ghoul onto her back! The creature was getting closer, but Camilla simply takes a calming breath as she situated the ghoul. She couldn't afford to drop her! As the thing got closer, a waves of nausea began to hit Camilla unmercifully and she had to swallow hard several times to keep from losing her lunch! Finally, she was ready! And not a moment too soon! The creature was nearly upon her when Camilla took off running! With her strength restored, the human ghoul weighed practically nothing. This made jumping over rubble and dodging vine strikes a lot easier! She didn't dare stop to fight the thing, not with he ghoul on her back: running was the best option.

Things were getting worse by the second as the tower, no the whole city, explodes into grabby vines! She couldn't stop, she had to keep running! Unfortunately, as Camilla ran with the girl in tow, she frowns to herself as the fog begins to thicken again as she enters a open expanse of highway... Did that creature have control over the fog? It likely did... This became even more likely when Camilla's pin frizzles! Suddenly, there was a large cloud of seafoam green and lavender purple smoke as the Dormouse ghoul became a Dormouse Monster once more! "Eek!" she yelps in confusion and surprise as she was suddenly in her dog sized natural form pinned to the ground by the ghoul! Fortunately, Camilla cushioned the fall for the ghoul, but now she was pinned!

Luckily, Camilla had worked hard to improve her Mouse Sized natural ability, and now it seemed like all that hard work was paying off! Quickly, there was another burst of colored smoke, when it cleared, there was a fully clothed horse sized Dormouse standing there with a human ghoul on her back! "Let's go!" she shouts to nobody in particular before dashing off! As she ran, she uses her prehensile tail to anchor the ghoul onto her back, knowing the ghoul wouldn't fall off allowed, the literally giant, Dormouse ghoul to run as fast as she could!

Dodging the vines, so intent of grabbing them both, wasn't easy... And unfortunately, Camilla knew, especially with the weakening fog, that she couldn't run forever... She needed to find another, faster, way... Something like... Oh! The cars!

It didn't take long for the Dormouse ghoul to work out just how the boxy car worked! Fortunately, it was in fact a durable car, which was evident by the slight dents on the front from the few cars she hit while learning... But, it was still working beautifully! "Ooo, Wow! I see why creeple like driving so much now! Heh, this is fun!" she laughs as she zooms down the highway!

Unfortunately, her learning curve had slowed her down quite a bit... This allowed the creature to start catching up! Soon, the creature was running right behind the boxy car! She was gunning it but still not getting away! Suddenly, the horse creature puts on a burst of speed and rams the boxy car! "Eek!" she squeaks in surprise as the car's four wheels leave the pavement!

Thump, skreeeee, crash!

The boxy car lands heavily on it's four wheels while shaking up it's occupants a bit! Unfortunately, it got worse before it got better... Instinctively, Camilla tried to correct her course. This caused her to over correct and careen right towards a abandoned car! "Yikes!" she yelps and swerves last second! Luckily, she reacted fast enough and only managed to clip the car! "Phew..." she sighs with relief... She felt a little shaken up from the two crashes and she had a feeling the poor human ghoul did too... She needed to be more careful...

Once the orange portal came into view, Camilla slows down drastically as she approaches! "We're here!" she announces cheerfully to the unfortunately still unconscious ghoul...

After carefully navigating around the increasingly large group that was forming in front of the portals; Camilla parks the jeep a few meters away from the portal before hopping out. Carefully, she unbuckles the ghoul from the back seat and drags her out of the car before slinging an arm over her shoulder for support. It was time to get this human back home! With a happy tailwag, Camilla carries the ghoul slowly towards the portal.

Suddenly, right before the pare reach the portal, Camilla feels something... A muscle twitch... The ghoul was waking up! "Ooo! Your waking up!? Yay!" she exclaims as the ghoul begins regaining consciousness! The Dormouse ghoul was so happy and excited by this, that she unfortunately forgot it might not be a good thing... And would prove such moments after she began stirring!

Upon waking and opening her eyes, Ellie was confused and dazed for a moment... How was she standing...? Where... Was she...? At first she thought maybe Mike, Sereva, or Matilda was holding her up. But, as she looks at her rescuer her eyes get wide with a mixture of panick and confusion! She was being held up by a human sized mouse shaped shadow! "Eek!" she yelps before pushing herself away! "Eep!" Camilla exclaims in surprise and confusion as she was pushed away from the ghoul with surprising force! "S-stay A-away from me!" Ellie exclaims as she staggers backwards clumsily!

"W-wait! I'm here to help you!" Camilla cries desperately! As she tries to approach with open palms, only to be repelled back by a wildly swung kitchen knife that was stained red at the tip! "N-no! Y-your one of the Undying A-aren't you! I-I won't let you take me!" she exclaims determindly in a dazed tone! She had dug her knife out of her bag and was now wildly swinging it at the giant mouse shaped shadow with no rhyme or reason! "N-no! I'm not, I'm-" she didn't even get to finish as the ghoul lunges at her with the knife!

Because of Camilla's natural agility and the Martial Art's training she'd been doing, she easily dodges the knife and whips her tail onto the ghoul's hand on her way by! "Eek!" Ellie yelps as her hand was slapped by the tail! It didn't hurt, it was just surprising and caused her to drop the knife! Quickly, Ellie tried to whirl around and retrieve the blade, but before she could, she suddenly find herself in a warm mouse hug!

"L-let go!" Ellie cries as she realizes she was being held by the shadow! Camilla was holding her gently enough so that she wouldn't hurt the ghoul, and firm enough that she couldn't get away! "Shuuu shuu shu, It's alright! I won't hurt you." Camilla says in a soft tender tone. Camilla couldn't believe she'd forgotten one of the steps from the manual! She hadn't hugged her human yet... The ghoul, despite being taller and maybe older then Camilla, reminded her of her own siblings when they were scared... Her inner sister begins to come out even more strongly as she hugs the ghoul close. Unfortunately, Ellie was too panicked and dazed to really comprehend Camilla's words! "I-I said L-let go!" she shouts again as she continues to struggle weakly!

Frowning, Camilla realizes her voice wouldn't be enough to calm the ghoul down... Camilla finally decides she needed to use a common technique for calming Mouseling's down. Carefully, she grabs one of the ghoul's arms and forces it down to her side while she keeping the other pinned! This panicked Ellie more at first and she seemed to struggle harder!

However, that all ends as Camilla gently wraps her soft prehensile tail around the ghoul's hand! Freezing, Ellie looks at the mouse shaped shadow in confusion before beginning to relax a little... She starts relaxing further as Camilla says softly- "I have given you my tail, now you have a mouse by the tail." Mice were notorious for being caught by their tails, and Camilla was no exception. For her to give anybody her tail, showed she trusted them. And it was this important fact that finally snaps Ellie out of her panic!

Ellie was so confused... This mouse shadow... It was... Here to help her...? Why did she feel the need to fight against it then...? Despite the gnawing desire to struggle against the shadow, Ellie begins relaxing more and more as the urge starts to die away. Once she was relaxed enough, Camilla loosens her hug till it was a genuine, warm, sisterly hug! Ellie didn't have siblings, but there was no mistaking the siblingly warmth from the hug... Ellie was... So tired for some reason...

Eventually, as she relaxes fully into the warmth of the shadow's hug, Ellie slowly rests her head on, what she assumed, was the shadows shoulder... "W-what are y-you...?" Ellie asks finally in a soft shy voice. "I..." for a moment, the Dormouse ghoul wasn't sure how to answer that... Should she tell her specifics? Probably not...
