She was his responsibility. Partly. Sort of. Kinda. Okay, she wasn't his responsibility. Once he dropped the girl off at the barracks she technically was no longer any concern of his. Still, he felt a little bad. He'd brought her here and not long after she'd be shut up in the infirmary after being caught up in a dragon fight. Experath had been concerned and wanted him to go straight after the hatching. He had tried, but the healers had said she was knocked out and he'd have to come back another time. Leaving it a day seemed reasonable. This time it was all him though, the more he thought about it the more he worried. He didn't want her deciding that all dragons were bad just because of this one instance.

Fortunately when he arrived at the infirmary this time around the apprentice dealing with visitors told him that Litaidar was allowed to see people and that she would run and check whether the candidate was up to seeing another or not. Waiting by the door N'oka wondered if the lass would even want to see him. Hopefully she'd give it a chance.

She'd been trying to not wake up for as long as possible. Lita still had foggy memories of her first major time in with the healers and she knew waking up would hurt. So the teen had been seeking comfort in sleep, or well at least not feeling. The healers still had her shoulder bound up pretty tight and her arm pinned to her side to give the joint a chance to heal. Not to mention she was covered in bandages from her cuts. What a sad sight she must be. So when a young apprentice came over and said she had a rider visitor, Lita wasn't sure what to think. What rider would want to visit her? Her first impulse was to tell the rider to go away. But that would have been unbearably rude. It would probably hurt the rider's feeling who took the time to come see her.

The teen gave a soft sigh. "I'll see them." She watched the apprentice leave and tried to settle back into her pillows.

The apprentice was back shortly, beckoning him to follow and swiftly turning and leading him through the infirmary toward the candidate's bed. He managed a somewhat awkward smile as he looked at the candidate. Oh dear, she did look a little worse for wear didn't she? He'd seen worse, but that was thread fighting for you. She really didn't need to go looking like that any time soon.

"Hello, Litaidar. It's me, N'oka. Experath's rider." Did he need to explain, would she have forgot him already? Potentially. Hopefully she remembered Experath. Either way this was going to be awkward. "How're you feeling?" Really awkward. "I mean, obviously, you aren't going to be one hundred percent, but uh, I hope they're looking after you well at least." Exceedingly awkward.

Lita opened her eyes as a voice greeted her. It took a moment for her to recognize one of the riders that had searched her and Kitchi. What was he doing here? Was her first thought. She had barely seen him since he'd brought her to the weyr. "Ah," she stalled for a moment to think of what to say. Asking her first thought would be less than tactful.

"Greetings N'oka. It's nice of you to stop by." She winced as he asked how she was feeling. "I've been better. The healers do what they can for me." Lita stifled the gasp of pain an unconsidered gesture brought to her shoulder. Shrugging hurt. She didn't want to do that anymore. If he felt as awkward as this whole thing sounded, she wondered why he'd come. There surely had to be a purpose. A rider wouldn't visit a stupid kid, no she didn't think of herself as a candidate anymore, in the infirmary without a good reason.

"That's good," he replied with a nod. It had been a silly question really, of course the healers would be doing all they could it was their job after all. The one's he knew personally taking that job very seriously.

"I just wanted to make sure that this accident hadn't turned you against the whole rider path. I know it can be very overwhelming, but dragons aren't like that once they impress." Hopefully she hadn't given up already. Given the look of her he imagined she'd heal up well enough to stand again. Her never doubted Experath's choices and he'd hate for one of them to give up after one bad experience. Lita's dragon was out there and he'd hate to see that dragon between because he hadn't bothered to talk to her.

Lita thought the matter settled and the rider would take himself quickly out. Unfortunately it wasn't so. She looked him, her eyes wide with the horror of possibly going back out onto those..... that wher's lair. "I'm sorry Rider N'oka. I am most certainly not going back out there." Oh no. Her eyes were open now. The whole darn lot could go to the Red Star. She just wanted her wherry flock back. "As soon as I can get up, I plan to make arrangements to return home. Thank you for giving me the chance, but I can't."

The teen wanted to shudder in horror, but knew just how painful that would be. No, she'd laid here quietly and take her medicines like a good girl and then go home. There weren't dragons at Benden, and the few whers that remained she could easily avoid. People would just have to keep their darn flits away from her.

N'oka quirked an eyebrow at the girl's response. He had expected her to be nervous, but not to have outright already made plans to abandon the whole situation. "Are you sure? You don't want to make this kind of decision without properly thinking it through." Undoubtedly he'd now get some kind of indignant exclamation about how she had completely thought it though. The decision seemed rash to him, she hadn't really had time to think about it outside of the infirmary. A place he did not consider the best place making long-term decisions.

It was tempting to tell her that her injuries weren't really that bad considering what he'd seen in his over a decade of watching hatchings. Shards, he'd seen people die. Somehow though given her reaction he felt that pointing out that people died wasn't the best option. "You do know they didn't mean it, right? It was just a case of wrong place at the wrong time." He couldn't be certain they didn't, but the blue and brown certainly seemed like their fight was with each other and not her.
