THE PROMPT
Take a look at the 1d10 you rolled in your first post. That is the amount of yards you have traveled away from the portal. Go ahead and start dragging them back through the fog. This is entirely rped so you can drag them back however you want. For Halloween students, your strength has been nerfed slightly, and are now proportional to a Human's strength. For a Hunter, the fog is sapping your strength, making you more lethargic. Your movement and strength is slowed down to a regular civilian's.

For this part, also keep in mind the height and weight of your victim when you take it into RP accord. As your characters are in a very densely populated part of the hospital, hitching a ride via any form of vehicle is not an option right now

As you do you and the victim suddenly end up not anywhere safe and definitely not back to where you started. Instead, it seems like you are somewhere on a long stretch of (Human) highway. There is a very tall skyscraper next to you, covered entirely in vines, though the top of the skyscraper seems to have shattered. It hurts your head to look at the building, but as you turn away, you feel something shaking around you:

More tendrils unravel from the cage of the creature and you hear something whisper in your head. It hurts, and nearly causes you to lose consciousness.

We will consume you and your Fear will be ours.

You suddenly realize all the hundreds, thousands, of tendrils are creatures from Halloween that have been consumed. Their Fear resonates with you, and they scream in agony and confusion no longer themselves. Their loss of identity shakes you to your core.

Without the fog sapping your strength, you feel a renewed power as you pick up the victim and begin to sprint out. You are actually able to take on your natural form at this point to make it faster (where applicable), though the overwhelming crushing nausea of the thing chasing you makes it impossible for you to fly any higher than a few feet off the air. You run. It chases.

Now, write a post in REACTION to what has happened in the entirety of STEP 2 for your RESCUER. You may now choose to continue to run (go to next step) OR stop a little to fight the boss. If you do, the boss has ???/??? HP. If your character (RESCUER) successfully does more than 10 damage to it (remember GUEST STUDENTS Have 2d6-6 dice and QUEST HUNTERS have 2d8-6 dice) you manage to repel it a little bit ICly and it gives your character a bit of a breather. This post should be the exclaim SECOND rp post in your thread!

It was a human.

Vaudrey had never seen a human before. He crouched down in awe, knees bent to his chest, his talons resting on them, and stared with unabashed curiosity at it. The color of its hair wasn't unlike Vaudrey's himself, but with a more reddish hue to it that made it seem almost alight with movement as it lay around his face. Older, definitely - at least, he thought so, it was hard to tell with these things, really. Not really muscular, but not light either, tall and solid.

Which Vaudrey was discovering the longer he tried to haul the human with him.

Panting, trying very hard to keep up the Good Gentleman appearance, Vaudrey half staggered, half walked forward, trying to get himself to the place he was supposed to. His wings fluttered with each and every step, his tail flicking behind him, and Vaudrey's dark eyes scanned the space in front of him, trying just to focus on the next step...the next step...the next one...was he there yet...the next step...was he there yet.

The road was there - Vaudrey stared at it, his head tilted to one side, and inched towards it, his body straining to keep hold of his human. But he was following the pamphlet - he had his human, he was hugging it - sort of - and now he just needed to get back to where he was supposed to! It was all going as planned -

He'd spoken too soon.

The voices came into his head, screaming and shrieking and Vaudrey gasped out a breath, trying desperately to pick up his feet, the vines swirling, the sound of hoof beats loud in his ears. He couldn't run fast enough - the human was weighing him down, and the bones in Vaudrey's body shifted, cracked, and then he was flying, wings flapping hard -

- but he was just so nauseated. The sphinx tumbled back down, groaning, his form slipping away, and Vaudrey clapped his talons across his mouth, still staggering. All indications of staying a Proper Gentleman were gone now; he just needed to run.

THE PROMPT
As you run, the skyscraper, the entire city bursts into vines. You keep on running. You can't afford to look back. Eventually, you reach a long empty expanse of highway with nowhere to hide. The fog thickens again, heavily weakening your character, locking them in their natural forms (for Halloween) and stopping weapons from their true potential (Hunter). All you know is that you need to get away from the thing.

Pick the ones applicable to your character, click the spoiler and then follow the steps given. This one should be your exclaim THIRD rp post in your solo thread.

Speed value: +1 (biking SORRY VAUDREY)
Distance: 3 / 10
Vaudrey HP: 25 / 30
Raffin HP: 45 / 50

The fog was too thick. He didn't know where he was going, could hardly see - but there was a shape that appeared a short distance away, a riding device of some sort. Vaudrey didn't care what it was, he just knew that he needed it, haphazardly shoving his human onto it and clambering up. There was a screeching noise as the tires dug into the ground, and something smacked into him from the side, Vaudrey crying out.

His feet pushed the pedals and tried to keep going.

Speed value: +1 (biking)
Distance: 9 / 10
Vaudrey HP: 20 / 30
Raffin HP: 40 / 50

It was very difficult to keep pedaling, Vaudrey wincing with each and every movement. He felt slow and sluggish, his head spinning - and the human was weighing him down, making him go at an immensely slow rate, his wings practically dragging on the ground.

There was a sudden pain again - Vaudrey squawked, careening sideways, and almost toppled off the bike, but he kept pushing, clinging awkwardly to his human.

At least he was still hugging it.

THE PROMPT
As you finally (both Halloween AND Hunter) step towards your respective portals, the VICTIM suddenly grabs a hold of you and attacks you with a rather impressive strength!

You must now fend off the VICTIM and try to drag them into the portal. Just create an RP post as you try your best to fight off the victim. This wastes precious time and by the time you finish fighting them, you realize the portal is gone.

color=red]CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE NOW STRANDED

That's it! You're done the solo part! Please RP out what you need, then continue to the post (STAGE 3) below for some quality PRP time!

He could see it - the portal, just up ahead, finally.

Bruised, battered, and exhausted, Vaudrey climbed awkwardly off of the bike - which, without his support, promptly fell over, human and all. They smashed into the ground, and Vaudrey hastily crouched down, hauling them up again with a great deal of effort. Now wheezing underneath the weight of them, his limbs feeling like jelly, he kept going, inching closer and closer -

- and then he was face planting straight into the ground. Vaudrey let out a squawk, flailing, feathers flying everywhere as he tried to scramble away from the human - their eyes were open, hands grappling, and Vaudrey's tail lashed, curling around one of its wrists and trying to tug it away.

"Stop stop - I'm trying to - help!"

One of his wings smacked into the humans side, colliding with its head, and then it was out again, crumbled on its stomach. Vaudrey was breathing very heavily as he stared at them, and then climbed unsteadily to his feet, swaying like a top and turning eagerly to the portal, now that everything was quiet.

Except the portal was no longer there. Vaudrey stared at the space where it had been, feeling a sinking sensation in the pit of his stomach.

"Oh. Oh, dear. Oh, dear."
