For a moment he stepped to the side, and in that moment everything was black. Blessed sleep, he remembered thinking. Sweet sleep.
Then he woke up. It happened in a matter of seconds, of course: he'd only needed to sleep in order to become enlightened. They were infected, all of them. The casino had been telling the truth. Everyone was infected, and soon their flesh would rot off their bones and they could rend people in half. Soon Wataru would do the same. It was time - it was time to fight something. He lurched to his feet and went looking...
But his feet were so whole. How could he run quickly, bogged down by his flesh? He needed to wait, but within sight of someone whole, whose flesh he could tear until it was healthy again. He grasped the candle in his hand and - ah, no, he didn't need a candle. He was infected, which was shorthand for superior. He didn't need a filthy weapon to tear someone's skin from their body. His bones were strong and solid and black and green.
He was beautiful, in short. Or he would be, when he'd shedded his flesh.
Perhaps he might keep it, though. He was smart, unlike some of the other infected around here. It was his one good thing, Wataru had always thought. With a candle he could lure prey to him, and with prey he could...
Why did he want prey again? He wanted their flesh, but for what? It'd only weigh him down. He was lightweight but strong, a being of bone inside a thick fleshy cage. He would not be left isolated in his prison. He needed to...he needed to...
He needed to be Wataru Sugimoto, human. Wataru glanced back down at his body. Was he infected? He looked fine. He didn't think he'd lost cognitive ability...ah, yet. But would it come?
No. No, it was the fog. He was on his way out. The fog was floating in from outside; following him. He needed to go. Somewhere safe. Somewhere with company, to prevent him from harming anyone else...

OOC: SCENARIO 2
Scenario requirements: Your character steps into one of the hospital rooms accidentally and blacks out. When they wake up, they realize everyone around them is an Infected (terminal virus stage). The hallucinations have gone to their head, making them believe they are all Infected, including themselves. React accordingly. PVP is turned on, but if your character takes more than -10 damage, they snap back to the reality of the situation.
If more than one character, all characters believe the same. Instead of hitting themselves/each other for -10 damage they can also choose to write an "identity crisis" solo or 250 words about what they plan to do knowing they are Infected. After they do so they snap back to awareness and realize that they are still okay for now.
When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter.
