Basically: Grün is a pretty nice guy. He's not mean, but he definitely isn't overly friendly which leads to him coming off as a bit of a jerk.
Really it's just because he's socially awkward and doesn't really know how to interact with others very well. Clearly he didn't get enough socialization as a wee babe.
However, once he gets comfortable he is quite capable of being fun and having a good time.

Dislikes: Scary movies, the dark, rudeness
Basically: Ichabod is like a big sweet cuddle bug, really. He gets sad and grumpy because others are always put off my his appearance.
He can't help it that he has a drooling problem and droopy eyes! Or that his red freckles unfortunately look like... something else!
He just wants to play games and have some good, clean, NOT scary fun.
He really doesn't like scary things.

Likes: Shadows, staying up all night and looking at the stars, weird stuff
Dislikes: Not much
Basically: Bell just really loves life. She is fascinated by the weirdness and oddities of nature.
She enjoys walking through cool, dark woods and chatting with new gryphons she encounters.
She particularly loves gryphons with unique features or stories.
There isn't much that will bother her as she is so fascinated or bemused by most things.

Basically: Jax is kind of a butthole. He likes to make fun of others and taunt them until he gets a big reaction from them - then laugh at their antics.
He also thoroughly enjoys pranks and is extremely sarcastic.
Jax is the type of guy to trip you then blatantly lie about it while snickering as soon as you turn around.
Like I said, he's basically butthole. But he thinks he's hilarious.

Basically: Arak skulks around with this doom and gloom attitude, but it's hard to take him seriously because he's just so over the top.
Poor guy, he's got a major emo-teenager thing going on.
He wears his spider arm band because it makes him look cool (he won't admit to that though).
Overall, Arak is just too cool for life. Life is lame anyway - in his opinion of course.

Basically: Delilah is a ditz. A silly, sweet, spacey ditz.
She is very easily distracted and gets off task constantly.
She'll chat your ear off if given the slightest chance.
